Acting on tip off, Uttarakhand and Delhi Police have jointly arrested 10 Nepalese nationals including two women from Banbasa on Tuesday who had allegedly committed a dacoity in a house located in Kirtinagar, New Delhi at 2 pm, on June 25.
Champawat SP DS Gunjyal said that police received a tip off about the same and acting on that a team led by Banbasa police station in-charge Rajesh Pandey was formed. Team members conducted vehicle checking drives at Banbasa gate and finally arrested 10 persons on the charge of dacoity in Delhi and recovered stolen items from their possession. The accused have been identified as Nepalese nationals -Mani Thapa, Vimal Badela, Harish Dunai, Suresh Joshi, Uttam Bahadur, Dev Bahadur Singh, Man Bahadur Karki, Prem Pariyar, Rekha and Prajal Pariyar. These accused were reported to living in various places in Uttarakhand, Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh. Police recovered stolen jewelleries, eight mobile phones, and cash Rs 65, 220 (Indian rupee), Nepalese rupee (6, 900), American Dollar (195). Police sources said that these accused had allegedly gained entry into the house and held the family hostage at gun point and they decamped with cash and valuables. Based on the complaints, a case under section 392 of IPC was registered in Kirti police station. State ADGP (law and order), DIG, Kumaon and SP announced cash award to the team members for arresting the accused.
