CS reviews preparations of investment summit

Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh reviewed the preparations for the “Investors Summit”. A high level empowered constituted for the purpose held a meeting at secretariat on Thursday. He instructed that the layout of Maharana Pratap International Stadium should reflect the image of Uttarakhand. He said that the local culture, dress and products should be showcased in the summit.

 It was informed in the meeting that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will inaugurate the “Investors Summit-2018” on October 7, 2018. After the inauguration he will hold discussions with CEOs of different companies. He said that in the auditorium one, two and three of south block, discussions with the investors will be held separately in the fields of agriculture and forestry, tourism and hospitality, film shooting and entertainment and IT and Bio-technology.  There will be a separate session with country partner.

On October 8, 2018, sessions will be held on health care and wellness, MSME manufacturing, education and skill development. Central minister have been invited as chief guest and central secretaries will be invited as speakers. The secretaries of the state government have been nominated as section coordinator for sectoral sections.

 Four mini conclaves were held for the preparations of the “Investors Summit-2018”. Ayush Herbal, pharma, and aromatic plants conclave was held at Haridwar, Tourism and wellness conclave was held at Tehri, Film shooting and tourism at Nainital and automobile and food processing conclave was held at Rudrapur. Road shows were also organized at Bengaluru, Hyderbad, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and New Delhi and Ambedkar round table conference was also held. Principal Secretary Manisha Panwar, Secretary Amit Negi, Secretary Ayush R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Energy Radhika Jha, Garhwal Commissioner Shailesh Bagoli and Secretary Rural Development Pankaj Kumar Pandey were present in the meeting.
