In a shocking incident, a 10-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by his cousin in a village falling under Haryana’s Nangal Chaudhary police station on Sunday. Sources informed that the dead body of the victim was found lying near a pond during late evening hours. Investigating officer Jagdish Singh said that the victim was suspected to have been sexually abused by the accused boy. Though the victim’s father claimed that accused is an adult, but police have asked the civil surgeon to constitute the board to ascertain accused age. “We have also sent the samples drawn from his body for the forensic examinations to ascertain that the victim was sexually abused. Accused is in our custody and medical board has given us time till Tuesday for the examinations,” said Police.
As per the report, on Sunday morning Accused and victim had left home to get milk from the dairy. The dairy owner asked them to come after an hour. Accused allegedly took victim to secluded place near the village pond where he allegedly sexually assaulted him and then murdered.
Preliminary investigations revealed that accused first hit the boy with a brick. As he fell unconscious, he stabbed him in neck and stomach for the multiple times. He managed to escape before anybody could reach the spot.
Some villagers spotted the dead body and informed the victim’s parents. Villagers rushed him to doctor who declared him dead. Meanwhile, police was informed. “Initially the accused had been misleading the family as well as the villagers. Later, we take him into the custody and he elaborated upon the sequence of events which led to the murder,” said investigation officer. Further investigations are in progress and we are also trying to ascertain as there was any other reason which led to the murder of the boy, he added.
