Two days workshop was organised on April 13 to April 14, 2019 by DNA Labs-A Centre for Applied Sciences, Dehradun in Association with Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of Uttarakhand. Workshop was organised to aware the participants about different advanced Biosensors technologies currently existed and its applications in the diagnosis of different types of cancers.
Dr. O.P. Nautiyal, Senior Scientist and Chief Guest for this scientific meet from USERC gave lecture on the scope and hope for the young professionals in the field of medical technologies and how they can combat with this lethal disease. Workshop was organized under the aegis of Association of Microbiologists of India (AMI) and in association with Department of Medical Lab technology, Pt. L.M.S Govt. (PG) College, Rishikesh. Dr. Arun Karanwal, Professor from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar, interacted with the participants and he told about the association of various pathogens and their roles in causing various diseases. Dr. Manoj Kashyap, Molecular Oncologist and Head of Biotechnology Department from Glocal University, Saharanpur addresses the participants about the genes and genome for the diagnosis of various cancers.
He added that basically, cancer prevention is all about awareness and this blog pivots on providing you with important insights relating to breast and liver cancer. Learned speakers who gave lectures on disease, diagnosis and awarness were Dr. Gulshan Kumar Dhingra Associate professor from Pt.LMS Govt. (PG) college, Rishikesh provided detailed information pertaining to prevention, diagnosis, causes, and treatment of blood cancer.

More than 100 participants from biomedical professionals from different Universities/Colleges from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh well attended the workshop.
