Quality Assurance Authority will ensure the quality of development works: CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today took strong cognizance of the cheating a person in the name of getting him appointed in Group-D job in the Central Government and directed to suspend the then SHO, who was probing the matter, for laxity on his part. During this, CM  also ordered to take action against the Deputy District Attorney appointed in Gurugram Commissioner of Police office for giving wrong opinion to the police in this matter. The Deputy District Attorney of the Police Commissioner’s Office had given opinion that this prime facia appeared to be a civil matter of giving and taking money instead of a corruption case.

The Chief Minister was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee at the Swatantrata Senani Zilla Parishad Hall in Gurugram on Sunday. In this meeting, 19 complaints or problems were placed before him, out of which after hearing all the parties to the dispute, he redressed 16 complaints on the spot. After the agenda of the meeting was over, the Chief Minister also heard the complaints pertaining to public interest of the nominated members of the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee and directed the concerned officers on the spot to resolve them.

Taking strong cognizance of the issue of taking money on the pretext of getting a Group D job in the Central Government, the Chief Minister said, “ we have established such a system in the state, in which no person can get a job by paying money. Our government is working towards giving corruption free governance to the people”. In this case, the accused person has a history of doing fraud in the past, so the police will take action against him. This complaint was made by a resident of Sohna in which he had alleged that he had paid Rs.3.5 lakh to the accused person. The then SHO at Sohna Police Station had shown laxity in handling the case and had told it to be a case of mutual money transaction saying that there is no evidence of money transaction between the complainant and the accused. The Deputy District Attorney, appointed in the Police Commissioner, Gurugram, had considered it to be prima facie a civil matter between the two parties.

Gurugram Municipal Corporation will run ‘Marking for Parking’ campaign

Action will be taken against the shopkeepers who allow street vendors in front of their shop.

While disposing of another matter, the Chief Minister said that the temporary encroachments done by street vendors in front of shops in Sector-23 market have been removed by the officials of Haryana Urban Development Authority. In future, if street vendors are found standing in front of the shops, action will be taken against the concerned shopkeeper. Regarding problem of parking vehicles here and there in the same sector, the Chief Minister said that the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram would launch a new initiative of ‘Marking for Parking’ under which parking space would be fixed for vehicles, after that if vehicles are parked at other places, fine will be imposed on them. Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) has identified places for making 15,000 boxes (marking) for parking of vehicles.

2 units spreading pollution were closed

Two complaints related to pollution were placed in the meeting, in which it was told that the smell of burning rubber in Rajendra Park’s  Fand G blocks has made it difficult for the residents to breathe and was also causing irritation in the eyes. In this case, the officials of the Pollution Control Board said that the factory causing pollution has been closed but the complainants said that they are getting threats. On this, the Chief Minister said that police should be deployed there in plain clothes, who will catch those giving threats and take action against them. Similar orders were given against unauthorized rubber company operating in Amar Colony, near Sector-10. According to the officials of the Pollution Control Board, this company has also been closed.

Quality Assurance Authority will be formed soon, public will also get option to complain on the portal

In the meeting, a complaint related to inferior quality in the construction works was put up before the CM, who ordered to hand over the matter to the Division Vigilance SP. He will get the quality of material checked and submit a report in a week, after that action will be taken accordingly. The Chief Minister said, “the State Government has constituted a Quality Assurance Authority to ensure quality in development works. This authority will regularly check the quality of development works in routine. The public will also be given an option to send complaints on a portal, in which any person from the public  would be able to send complaints about  the quality of development work and also about corruption, if any. After that, the complaint will be investigated by the team of Vigilance Bureau constituted at the divisional level.” The Chief Minister made it clear that no compromise would be allowed on the quality of development works. He said  that the Vigilance Bureau units have been constituted at all 6 Division Head Quarters in the state. In the referred complaint, questions were raised on the quality of the stormwater drain and road constructed from Alpine Convent School to Om Chowk in Sector-10.

Instructions to remove encroachment from government land

The matter of removal of encroachment in Sector-45 of the city was also put up before the Chief Minister, in which the Estate Officer-II Sanjeev Singla told that the encroachment has been removed from the vicinity of the residential society called ‘The Royal Residency’ and the estimate for developing a park at that place. Has also been prepared. On this, the Chief Minister gave clear instructions that the encroachment should be removed from the entire area except that which is under stay of the court. In this case, the complainants claimed that a scheme to develop a park by the Horticulture Wing of Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) in front of the society was almost final but it was not implemented and now slums had come up there due to which criminal incidents have increased.

In the meeting, the issue of deteriorating musical fountains and cleanliness in Maharana Pratap Laser Valley Park, Sector-29, Gurugram was again raised. In this matter, Additional CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Subhash Yadav said that the park is being cleaned regularly and an estimate was prepared to get the musical fountain repaired, but in the meantime, on August 23, an MoU has been signed with Hyundai company. Now this company will renovate this park under CSR and after that it will also maintain it for 2 years. The renovation work will be completed by March 31 next year.

In the meeting, Chief Minister’s Public Safety Advisor Anil Kumar Rao, Media Advisor Amit Arya, Mayor Madhu Azad, Gurugram MLA Sudhir Singla, Badshahpur MLA Rakesh Daulatabad, Pataudi MLA Satyaprakash Jarawata, BJP District President Gargi Kakkar, Divisional Commissioner RC Bidhan, Police Commissioner Kala Ramachandran, Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Mukesh Ahuja, Municipal Corporation Manesar Commissioner Mohd Imran Raza, HSVP Administrator Jaspreet Kaur were also present.
