JC Bose University receives re-accreditation by NAAC with ‘A+’ Grade

JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad has been re-accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an ‘A+’ Grade and a CGPA of 3.32 in the Second Cycle of Accreditation. The result of the assessment was declared in the 127th Meeting of the Standing Committee of NAAC held on October 18, 2022, and shall remain valid for the next five years.

While giving more information, an official spokesperson said that National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body funded by the University Grants Commission that assesses and accredits Higher Education Institutions in India. He said that in 2016, the University was awarded an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC in the First Cycle of Accreditation. The University was assessed and evaluated by the five-member NAAC Peer Team from October 10 to 12, 2022.

He informed that the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.K. Tomar has expressed gratitude towards the Haryana Governor and Chancellor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya for his constant mentorship and support to the University due to which it has been able to receive the ‘A+’ grade. The University is making strenuous efforts to realise the dream of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal to make Haryana a global leader in education, he added.

The Principal Secretary to Government of Haryana, Technical Education Department, Sh. Vijayendra Kumar and Director, Technical Education, Haryana, Sh. Rajiv Rattan have congratulated the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tomar on receiving ‘A+’ Grade by NAAC, who, in turn, extended his gratitude towards them for their consistent support. Congratulating University teachers, students, alumni and supporting staff for this great achievement, Vice Chancellor, Prof. S.K. Tomar said that JC Bose University has positioned itself among India’s elite and prestigious higher education institutions. He said that the University has made its presence on various prominent national platforms which reflects the quality parameters adopted by the University to further improve the quality of Education.

Registrar, Dr. SK Garg said that the re-accreditation of the University by NAAC with an ‘A+’ grade is a befitting award for the outstanding contribution of all stakeholders of the University. It is a distinguished achievement by the University on the quality parameters.

He further said that Dean Academic Affairs and University NAAC Coordinator, Prof. Ashutosh Dixit said that all the faculty and staff members worked day and night for preparation and presentation. The highest body of evaluation for the Universities and Colleges in the country assessed the University on seven point-scale criteria which include Curriculum Aspects, Teaching-learning and Evaluation, Research, Innovation and Extension, Infrastructure and Learning Resources, Student Support and Progression, Governance, Leadership and Management, and Institutional Values and Best Practices.
