Absconding criminal wanted in murder of police constable arrested

Haryana Police’s Special Task Force (STF) has arrested an absconding criminal and proclaimed offender who was wanted for murder of a police constable. A reward of Rs 10,000 was also declared on his arrest.
                    A spokesperson of Haryana Police said here today that the arrested accused has been identified as Rajendra Singh, a resident of village Shahjajipur, district Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh. The team of STF Palwal unit has arrested the accused.
                    In 1996, the accused, along with other members of his family, brutally murdered a Haryana Police constable and buried the dead body in a deep pit with the intention of dismembering it, which was pulled out after about a month. The accused was absconding for last 27 years in this case and was hiding at different places to avoid arrest. A case was registered in this regard in City Police Station Dabwali district Sirsa.
                    After the arrest, the accused will be handed over to Dabwali City Police Station for further action.
