Haryana Chief Secretary Flags Off Electric Scooters for Women Supervisors

Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal today flagged off 18 electric scooters for the women supervisors of the Women and Child Development Department. This initiative, facilitated by NITI Aayog through Mehwat Development Agency.

        During an interaction with media persons in Nuh today, the Chief Secretary highlighted the field-oriented nature of the women supervisors’ responsibilities. The provision of these scooters aims to facilitate the supervisors in checking Anganwadis situated in remote areas and villages, ensuring the success of vaccination campaigns, and efficiently handling tasks related to the registration of women and children. Often, supervisors faced challenges reaching villages and accessing Anganwadi centers, making simultaneous checks in multiple villages or within a single day difficult. The introduction of these scooters aims to ease their access to Anganwadis in villages, enabling them to perform their duties more effectively. The primary objective behind providing these scooters is to simplify and streamline their work.

        Mr. Kaushal said that Anganwadi supervisors previously struggled to oversee multiple centers in a single day. The aspirational district of Nuh is receiving considerable attention from both state and central governments regarding education, health, and children’s welfare. Additionally, there is a focus on such initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Modifications are being made to Anganwadi centers to transform them into ideal centers.

Hry DGP pays homage to immortal police martyrs on Police Martyrdom Day

Haryana Director General of Police (DGP), Shatrujeet Kapur, unequivocally reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of police personnel and the families who have made the ultimate sacrifice.. He lauded the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal and the insightful guidance of Home Minister Anil Vij for their instrumental roles in the seamless implementation of a range of welfare initiatives. In the unfortunate event of an employee’s martyrdom, the bereaved family not only receives job security but also a pension, in addition to substantial financial assistance amounting to Rs 1 crore 30 lakh. Furthermore, for cases of accidental fatalities involving contract-based employees within the police department, a  financial aid of Rs 50 lakh is extended to support the dependent family.

He was speaking after paying homage to the immortal police martyrs by laying a wreath at the ‘Police Martyr Memorial’ on the solemn occasion of Police Martyrdom Day, held at Police Lines, Panchkula. This day serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by 188 valiant martyrs of the Indian Police Force.

पुलिस महानिदेशक ने बताया कि पुलिस शहीदी दिवस के अवसर पर सभी प्रदेशों में ड्यूटी के दौरान शहीद होने वाले पुलिसकर्मियों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की जाएगी। इस मौके पर प्रदेश के सभी जिलों में पुलिस लाइन में पुलिस शहीदी दिवस मनाया जाएगा। उन्होंने बताया कि पंचकूला में आयोजित किए जाने वाले राज्य स्तरीय पुलिस शहीदी दिवस के अवसर पर पिछले वर्ष देश भर में  शहीद  हुए 188 पुलिसकर्मियों को श्रद्धांजलि दी जाएगी। उन्होंने आंकड़े सांझा करते हुए बताया कि पिछले 5 वर्षाें में देशभर के 1250 से अधिक पुलिसकर्मी तथा हरियाणा में 7 पुलिसकर्मी शहीद हुए। उन्होंने बताया कि हरियाणा प्रदेश बनने से लेकर अब तक 83 पुलिसकर्मियों ने अपने प्राणों का बलिदान दिया।

 गौरतलब है कि 21 अक्तूबर 1959 को भारत-तिब्बत सीमा पर लद्दाख के क्षेत्र में केन्द्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल के दस जवान सीमा पर गश्त करते समय चीनी सैनिकों द्वारा घात लगाकर किए गए हमले का शिकार हुए थे। तभी से 21 अक्तूबर को पुलिस शहीदी दिवस के रूप में मनाने की परम्परा आरम्भ हुई थी। तब से आज तक देश में लगभग 36 हजार 214 पुलिसकर्मियों ने कर्त्तव्य की वेदी पर सर्वाेच्च बलिदान दिया है। इन वीर सपूतों की कर्मभूमि कश्मीर की पहाड़ियों से लेकर नागालैंड और मणिपुर के घने जंगलों तक व चम्बल के बीहड़ों से लेकर कच्छ के रण तक रही है। इन्होंने हर समय आतंकवादियों, उग्रवादियों, अपराधियों व असमाजिक तत्वों से निपटते हुए भारत के जनमानस और भारत माता की सेवा की है। इनमें केन्द्र पुलिस संगठन के तहत कार्यरत बल जैसे भारत तिब्बत सीमा बल, सीआरपीएफ , सीआईएसएफ तथा बीएसएफ के जवान भी शामिल हैं।

German delegation visits Paragon Senior Secondary School

A German delegation from the Goethe Institute, Germany, New Delhi, including Timothy Strack, South Asia Project Head, PASCH (School Partners for the Future Initiative), and Tanvi Duggal, Project Manager, PASCH, visited Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali. Neha Dara, the head of Roundglass organization associated with the Goethe-Institute’s Science Film Festival initiative, the school’s Director Iqbal Singh Shergil, Principal Jasmeet Kaur, and Vice Principal Amarpal Kaur were also present. The delegation was greeted according to Indian traditions.

On this occasion, the students were shown the films ‘No Water No Village’, ‘Bio Acoustics Jungle Babblers with Manjari Jain’ and ‘Bio Acoustics a Series by Roundglass Sustain’ as part of the Science Film Festival, an international event held from 1st October to 20th December to raise awareness about current scientific, technological, and environmental issues. Together with regional partners, the Goethe-Institute promotes scientific literacy. After the screening of the films, a quiz was also organized which was conducted by Neha Dara.

School Director Iqbal Singh Shergill stated in his welcome speech that the PASCH program, which is fully sponsored by the German Federal Republic, has been used by Paragon School to teach German to its students from Class 5th onwards since 2008.

Timothy Strack also visited a German language classroom and spoke to the students in German in order to bolster their morale. During the vote of thanks, Vice Principal Amarpal Kaur expressed her gratitude to the German representatives. The students’ presented a cultural show in the school auditorium.

Principal Jasmeet Kaur stated that the school enthusiastically participates in all initiatives held by the Goethe Institute to promote the German language.

An MoU was also signed to strengthen the partnership between PASCH and Paragon School.

 

महिला आरक्षण विधेयक से देश की आधी आबादी को मिलेगा उसका वाजिब हक : किरण चौधरी

हरियाणा की पूर्व कैबिनेट मंत्री और नेता प्रतिपक्ष रहीं किरण चौधरी ने मंगलवार को संसद में महिला आरक्षण से जुड़ा 128वां संविधान संशोधन “नारी शक्ति वंदन विधेयक 2023” पेश किए जाने का स्वागत किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि इससे देश की आधी आबादी यानि महिलाओं को वास्तविकता में उनका हक मिलेगा। वे समाज की मुख्यधारा में बराबरी पर आकर खड़ी होंगी। वैसे यह विधेयक कांग्रेस की डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह सरकार ने वर्ष 2010 में राज्यसभा से पास करवा लिया था। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि महिलाओं के लिए बेहतर होता कि इस विधेयक को जल्दी पारित करवाकर तत्काल लागू किया जाता। इससे वर्ष 2024 में होने वाले लोकसभा और विधानसभा चुनावों में महिलाओं को लाभ मिलता। 

किरण चौधरी ने कहा कि राजीव गांधी, नरसिंह राव और डॉ. मनमोहन सिंह के नेतृत्व वाली कांग्रेस सरकारों ने इस विधेयक को पारित करवाने के अथक प्रयास किए थे। 

उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस हमेशा लोकसभा औऱ विधानसभा में महिला आरक्षण के समर्थन में रही है। कांग्रेस संसदीय दल की नेता सोनिया गांधी ने वर्ष 2017 में ही प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को पत्र लिख कर महिला आरक्षण विधेयक पर कांग्रेस के समर्थन का भरोसा दिलाया था। पूर्व कैबिनेट मंत्री किरण चौधरी ने कहा कि इस विधेयक को इसी सत्र में पारित करवाने के बाद जितना जल्द हो सके इसे लागू किया जाना चाहिए।

200 job fairs to be organized this year: Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that providing new employment opportunities to the youth of the state through job fairs is a testament of the government’s commitment. This year also 200 job fairs will be organized.

Today, under the ‘CM ki vishesh Charcha’ programme, the Chief Minister directly interacted with the youth who got employment in job fairs through audio conference from Delhi. Wishing the youth a bright future, he said that since January 2019 till now, 1,450 job fairs have been organized in the state and employment assistance has been provided to 31,217 youth. Apart from this, appointment letters for employment are also handed over to youth in these fairs. These appointment letters are also a step towards advancement in life and serve as testament of their competence.

The Chief Minister said that self-reliance and self-respect are two important pillars for the upliftment and welfare of the youth. Till now, 1.14 lakh government jobs have been provided and 56 thousand more jobs will be provided to the youth. In this way, the present government will do the work of providing 1.70 lakh jobs. Apart from this, strenuous efforts will be made to ensure employment to 2 lakh youth.

The government transformed the jobs into Mission Merit in order to safeguard the youth’s self-respect, and it has bolstered their morale by offering them more than one lakh government jobs that are provided purely on the basis of merit with complete transparency. Apart from this, benefits have also been provided under various schemes to establish employment and self-employment options in the private sector.

The Chief Minister said that to save the youth from multiple applications and fees, provision has been made for single registration facility and common eligibility test for competitive examination. He said that under the Chief Minister Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, youth from families with annual income of less than Rs. 1 lakh have been ensured employment through Haryana Rozgar Kaushal Nigam on the basis of merit.

The Chief Minister said that the youth of those families in which no member is in government jobs are being given priority of 5 additional marks in the recruitment of contractual employees through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. He said that jobs in the government sector are limited. In such a situation, it is not possible to provide jobs to 100 percent youth. Therefore, the government has taken the initiative to empower the youth by providing them skill training and quality education so that they become job providers instead of job seekers.

The Chief Minister said as per the vision of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Yuva Shakti is the driving force of India’s journey. The next 25 years are important for building the nation. Yuva Shakti’s dreams decide India’s direction. CM said that only with the power of skill development of youth, India can achieve the goal of becoming the third largest economy in the world.

The Chief Minister said that the target is to provide skill training for National Skill Qualification to 2 lakh unemployed youth in the year 2023-24. For this, specific training and courses are being run through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. He said that our focus is on youth empowerment and entrepreneurship by bringing a “new emphasis on skilling for employment” through the Haryana skill development mission.

He informed that under the Haryana Skill Development Mission, more than 80 thousand youth have been provided skills in order to make them self reliant. Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has also been established to impart training and industrial oriented education among youth.

The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the first state in the country, where educated unemployed youth are being given 100 hours of honorarium every month under the Saksham Yuva Yojana. Under this scheme, honorary work was provided to about 4 lakh youth. At present, industries need such youth who can meet the demands of the industries according to the latest technology. For this, through apprenticeship, students are being made skilled as per the demand of the industry. The government has paid special attention to apprenticeship training in the state and on a per lakh population basis, the maximum number of apprentices have been placed in the state of Haryana in the entire country.

The Chief Minister said that Foreign Cooperation Department has been created to provide education and employment opportunities to the youth looking for employment in overseas countries. Passports of students are being made free of cost at the college level for youth seeking employment abroad. Mistry Haryana portal and app has been designed specially to provide employment opportunities to technicians, plumbers, masons and electricians etc.

Transport Minister holds Jan Samvad Programme in Sohna Assembly, heard public grievances

Haryana Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma said that whatever suggestions or complaints the common people have regarding development work will be taken up in the Jan Samvad programme being organized in all the constituencies of the state under the guidance of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal.

Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma was addressing the villagers in various villages of Sohna on Saturday under the Jan Samvad programme.

The state government has launched the Jan Samvad Portal to ensure that action is taken on the suggestions and complaints received during the Jan Samvad programme. He said that necessary guidelines have been given to the concerned officers to ensure complete satisfaction of the complainant while taking action on the reports lodged on the portal. As soon as the complaint and demand are registered on this portal, its information is sent to the concerned citizen through SMS. After this, updates on the action taken by the concerned department and officer is also sent to the citizens through SMS.

The Transport Minister heard public grievances in villages Ghamroj, Mahendrawada, Garhi Bazidpur, Kherla and Rithauj and gave necessary directions to the officers present on the spot to resolve them at the earliest. During this time, the Transport Minister heard the problems of the villagers regarding electricity, drinking water, roads, irrigation etc. and gave necessary directions to the officers present on the spot to resolve them. While giving feedback on government schemes, people in the program said that the Haryana Government has worked to remove nepotism and corruption from the government system by making the majority of the public welfare services online.

On the demand of villagers to build Girls College in Sohna area and bus stops on major routes, the Transport Minister said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is the first CM during whose tenure maximum number of new colleges have been opened in Haryana state. On the demand of bus queue shelters in the villages, the Transport Minister directed the officers of the Panchayats Department to get bus queue shelters constructed wherever needed on the demand of the villagers. Work cost will be borne by the Transport Department, he added.

On this occasion, Sohna MLA, Sh. Sanjay Singh, ADC, Sh. Hitesh Kumar Meena, ACP East, Dr Kavita besides other officers were present.

Haryana to formulate a scheme to pave the pathways leading to fields in villages incorporated into urban areas: Hry CM

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today announced to formulate a scheme to improve road infrastructure in villages incorporated into urban areas. Under this scheme, the roads leading to the fields in the villages incorporated into urban areas will be improved, providing convenience for farmers in transporting their crops to and from the fields.

The Chief Minister was interacting directly with the people during a Jan Samvad Programme held at Satrod Khas village in the Hisar district.

Earlier, Sh. Manohar Lal also paid floral tributes to Saint Shiromani, Shri Dhanna Bhagat during the Jan Samvad programme. On this occasion, he also distributed tricycles to the differently-abled. Besides this, he also visited an exhibition showcasing products made by women Self-Help Groups.

While highlighting the government’s existing Khet Khalihan scheme, which focuses on paving roads to rural fields, he said that now a new plan will be developed specifically aimed at paving the road for the villages included in the urban areas.

During the Jan Samvad program, the Chief Minister emphasized the simplified process of pension disbursement through the Parivar Pahchan Patra. Elderly individuals now have the convenience of receiving their pensions from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for office visits. In this program, the Chief Minister facilitated pension processing for nine individuals who had reached the age of 60 and distributed pension cards to them.

The Chief Minister informed that the state government has enhanced transparency and efficiency in the implementation of schemes by introducing online portals. These portals streamline the delivery of scheme benefits to the eligible people. The Parivar Pehchan Patra system has played an important role in ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes.

Talking about the AMRUT scheme, the Chief Minister said that the work under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme has already been completed in Satrod Khas village, which has now become a part of the Municipal Corporation Hisar. He announced that the remaining works under this scheme would kick off within the next month. Furthermore, plans to beautify the tomb site in the village are underway. Other construction projects include the establishment of a community centre, the construction of streets worth Rs 4 crore, and the development of a stadium under the new sports stadium policy. Efforts will also be made to upgrade the sub-health centre, subject to feasibility, said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister underscored the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to the underprivileged through the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Families with an annual income of up to Rs 1.80 lakh are eligible for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under this scheme. In Satrod Khas, 2829 cards have been issued, resulting in 93 individuals receiving treatments worth Rs 30 lakh.

He highlighted the fair distribution of ration cards to eligible beneficiaries, with 12.50 lakh new cards issued in the state. In Satrod Khas alone, 833 new ration cards were issued. In addition, incorrect or improperly issued ration cards from the past in the state have also been canceled.

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to the rule of law, the Chief Minister assured that illegal encroachments in villages would be addressed promptly. Upon receiving complaints from villagers of Kharar village regarding encroachments on 38 acres of land, he instructed the Panchayat to propose a resolution while directing the Deputy Commissioner to facilitate the removal of encroachments in accordance with established regulations. In response to a complaint about encroachments on the Johad (water body) in Satroad Khas village, the Chief Minister urged the Municipal Corporation Mayor to take appropriate action for their removal.

Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh.  Kamal Gupta, MLA, Sh.  Jogi Ram Sihag, Mayor, Sh. Gautam Sardana, former MLA, Sh.  Ved Narang and other dignitaries were present on this occasion.

Ambala will get flight soon, Rs 133 crore transferred to Defense Estate Officer’s account for Civil Enclave land: Home Minister Anil Vij

Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij today said that Ambala will soon get a flight and in this direction, an amount of Rs 133 crores has been transferred to the account of Ambala Defense Estate Officer by the Haryana government for 20 acres of land to establish a Civil Enclave along with Ambala Air Force Station today.  Vij said that he is determined to start the flight service from Ambala soon and the transfer of Rs 133 crore to the Defense Estate Officer will now speed up the upcoming process for this project. He said that soon a terminal will be constructed for the Civil Enclave adjacent to Ambala Air Force Station at a cost of Rs 16 crore. He said that a Civil Enclave is to be established in Ambala under the RCS UDAN program and now the formalities for acquiring land for the airport have been completed.

It is noteworthy that due to the efforts of Home Minister Anil Vij, Civil Enclave is being established along with the Air Force Station in Ambala. It was a challenging task to get availability of 20 acres of land along with the Air Force Station for the Civil Enclave in Ambala. The vacant land of Military Dairy Farm was declared technically suitable by the Airport Authority of India and other departments. This land was under the Defense Ministry and the Civil Enclave could be built only when the land was handed over to the state government. This was a challenging task and Home Minister Anil Vij completed this challenging task to transfering an amount of Rs 133 crore to the Defense Ministry for 20 acres of land by the Haryana Government.

The terminal of Civil Enclave in Ambala will be constructed on the land of Military Dairy Farm, right next to the Air Force Station. After checking-in at the terminal, passengers will be taken by bus to the aircraft inside the Air Force station. Only the runway of the Air Force station will be used for take-off and landing of planes.

It is noteworthy that it is proposed to name the airport to be built in Ambala Cantonment as “Amba Airport Ambala Cantonment”. In this regard, Home Minister Anil Vij has recently sent a proposal to Chief Minister Manohar Lal in which it has been suggested to name Ambala Airport as Amba Airport Ambala Cantonment. Ambala district was named after Amba Devi and there is also a temple of Amba Devi in Ambala. This ancient temple has special significance.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal welcomed PM’s decision to reduce Gas Cylinder prices, Calls it a Festive Gift for Women

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sh. Narender Modi for the announcement of reducing gas cylinder prices by Rs 200. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the Prime Minister’s decision was seen as a gift to all sisters.

        Welcoming the Union Cabinet’s decision led by Prime Minister Sh Narender Modi to lower cylinder prices by Rs. 200, he said that this move, made just before the festive day, was likened to a Rakhi gift for millions of women across the nation, he added.

        He said that the Central Government’s decision to provide an additional subsidy of Rs. 200 on subsidized cylinders and a Rs. 200 discount on non-subsidized cylinders is particularly a relief for middle-class families. He said that this decision, coming before the upcoming festivals, is truly a valuable gift for households and middle-class families.

        The Chief Minister highlighted that the Ujjwala Yojana’s cylinders, which used to be available at a Rs. 200 discount, will now be accessible at a reduced price of Rs. 400.
