The root cause, she said, is often inflammation of the meibomian glands\u2014tiny oil glands in the eyelids\u2014which reduces oil secretion as we age. This disrupts the tear film and weakens vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, with advanced technology, dry eye can be treated at its root while also addressing peri-orbital concerns. This means patients can finally be free from the need for daily artificial tear drops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
