Chandigarh, August 15 \u2013 The 79th Independence Day was celebrated across Haryana on Friday with fervent patriotism, vibrant processions, and tricolour-themed festivities. Districts and sub-divisions hosted a variety of programmes where the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Cabinet Ministers presided over ceremonies as chief guests and took salute at the parades<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag, as chants of \u201cBharat Mata Ki Jai\u201d and \u201cVande Mataram\u201d echoed through the air. The streets were draped in saffron, white, and green, while schools and community centres staged patriotic songs, plays, and poetry recitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
