Mohali: Symbolizing victory, confidence, and the celebration of life, the cancer survivors walk along the ramp with their doctors during a \u2018Pink Warriors Meet\u2019 program by Livasa Hospital, Mohali here on Thursday.
The event was dedicated to honor the strength, resilience, and inspiring journeys of breast cancer survivors, fondly known as Pink Warriors to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event brought together breast cancer survivors, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and members of the community in a vibrant display of unity and hope. It served as a powerful platform to highlight the importance of early detection, timely treatment, and emotional healing, while inspiring those currently battling the disease with real-life stories of courage and survival.
Among others Livasa onco team including, Dr. Jatin Sarin director medical oncology, Dr. Vijay Bansal director surgical oncology, Dr. Meenakshi Mittal director radiation oncology, Dr. Shubh Mahindru director surgical oncology, Dr. Privanshu Choudhary senior consultant medical oncology and Dr. Parneet Singh senior consultant radiation oncology were present during the occasion.
Sharing her emotional journey, one of the survivors, Nisha (name changed), said,
\u201cToday\u2019s event is a celebration for individuals like me who have triumphed over cancer. It gives strength to those who are newly diagnosed, reminding them that courage and faith can conquer fear.\u201d
Another survivor, Pooja (name changed), added: \u201cThe human spirit is stronger than anything that can happen to it. I\u2019ve learned that when you feed your faith, your fears starve to death. I\u2019m forever grateful to my doctors and family who stood by me through it all.\u201d
Another survivor beautifully summed up,\u201cThe important thing is not how many years are in your life, but how much life is in your years. Once you choose hope, anything is possible.\u201d
Anurag Yadav, CEO Livasa Hospitals, said, \u201c The event was our tribute to the remarkable women who have fought and emerged stronger. Their courage fuels our mission to create a healthier, more aware society.\u201d
During the event, fun games, wellness engagements and informative awareness sessions focusing on preventive health, self-care, and mental well-being were also held.
