Chandigarh, May 16 \u2013 Following the call given by Prime Minister, Sh.Narendra Modi regarding fuel conservation and environmental protection, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini had directed departments to take appropriate steps for limited use of government vehicles and fuel saving. In line with these directions, Haryana Public Health Engineering and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa has taken a major step by initiating effective action regarding the use of government vehicles in both departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the directions of Sh. Ranbir Gangwa, a review of government vehicles being used in the departments was conducted. During the review, orders were issued by the Minister\u2019s office to immediately withdraw nine vehicles from the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department and eight vehicles from the Public Works Department (PWD B&R). These vehicles were being used at the department headquarters and related offices. The Minister has also removed the pilot vehicle from his own convoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that in line with the vision of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is working towards fuel conservation, environmental protection and responsible use of government resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that government vehicles should be used only for essential official and public welfare work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He directed officerls to promote virtual meetings wherever possible, avoid unnecessary travel and adopt vehicle pooling to ensure fuel saving. He also directed all departmental officers to regularly monitor vehicle log books and fuel expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that ensuring transparent and accountable use of public resources is the government\u2019s priority. He made it clear that misuse of government resources will not be tolerated at any level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the government orders, the process to withdraw 9 vehicles from the Public Health Department and 8 vehicles from the PWD Department has started with immediate effect.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
