Chadigarh: Yoga teacher Shri Ranjit Gupta of Yoga Abhyas Sansthan, Sukhna Lake, was honoured by the Chandigarh Administration at a grand ceremony on the 80th Independence Day \u2014 the third consecutive year a Sansthan yoga teacher has received this honour (“Hat-Trick”). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The award was presented by Mayor Saurabh Joshi in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Shri Amit Kumar, IAS. Dr. Seema Kapil Sethi and Yoga Teacher Usha Shishtha were similarly honoured in the two preceding years. Shri Ranjit Gupta is a trained Yoga Therapist holding a B.Sc. (Non-Medical), Certificate Course in Yoga, Diploma in Health Education & Nutrition, and M.A. in Yoga, with over six years of experience. His expertise spans Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation and lifestyle-based yoga therapy for back\/cervical pain, diabetes, posture correction and flexibility. He currently trains doctors and staff at PGIMER, Chandigarh, and conducts training both online and offline. Also felicitated at the ceremony, with a Certificate of Appreciation from Mayor Shri Saurabh Joshi, was the Sansthan’s distinguished regular member Prof. Dr. Babita Ghai \u2014 Professor, Department of Anaesthesia, and In-charge Consultant, Pain Clinic, PGIMER \u2014 recognised for her work in Chronic & Acute Pain Management, Pain Education and Regional Anaesthesia. She holds MD, DNB, MAMS, FAMS and a Commonwealth Fellowship in Pain Management (London). Yoga Abhyas Sansthan conducts daily yoga sessions at Sukhna Lake Boating Point, Chandigarh (5:30\u20137:00 AM), fostering physical health, mental peace and social harmony.
