In sports awards, Commonwealth Games medalist weightlifter Vikas Thakur of Punjab has been selected for the Arjuna Award while archery coach Jeevanjot Singh Teja has been chosen for the Dronacharya Award and Hockey Olympian Dharamvir Singh for the Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer congratulated all the players and coaches of Guru Nanak Dev University under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu for this proud achievement. He said that it is a matter of pride for Punjab that this prestigious university of Punjab has won the Maka Trophy for the record 24th time.
