Not many have the passion and dedication for keeping their ancestral traditions alive, but three youngsters from Kalka are breaking the stereotypes by passionately singing the \u2018Jangam Jogi’ \u2018Bhajans\u2019 at International Gita Mahotsav\u20142022 (IGM). These three youngsters are a part of a group of 6 folk musicians who are currently performing at IGM-2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While, thanking their Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal for giving them such a big platform like IGM-2022 these folk musicians from Haryana said that such a platform is no less than a blessing for them not only to showcase their talent but also make a special connection with the visitors with this age-old Bhajan tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cManish, Abhishek and Arun, all in their twenties though are painters by profession but keeping alive their ancestral tradition is their real passion. Not many have the same passion, as most of the youth after completing their studies prefer to move out for an employment opportunity. These three youngsters first learned Shiva Stuti and now are enlightening society through their \u2018Bhajans\u2019, says Krishan Kumar, who is leading this group of Jangam Jogi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Festivals like IGM should be organized more often<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Krishan Kumar said that holy festivals like IGM certainly gives an excellent platform to artist like them to showcase their talent and Haryana on the world map. He said that many times, such festivals also become a source of income for them, along with propagating their tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn behalf of the entire artist community, I would like to thank Chief Minister for successfully organizing IGM not only in Kurukshetra but in foreign soils as well. We also thank him for organizing similar programmes at the district level across Haryana. For the last several years, I and my entire team is blessed to show the tradition of Jangam Jogi in Gita Jayanti programs in different districts,\u201d said Krishan Kumar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jogi Jangam’s Shiv Stuti to praise lord Shiva<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Krishan Kumar shared that the singers in his group sing Jogi Jangam’s Shiv Stuti to praise the lord, Shiva. Through their singing, they give a glimpse of Lord Shiva\u2019s marriage and his journey to Amaranth. It takes monthly continuous practices to learn these songs and Bhajans, added Krishan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
