Haryana Chief Minister said that for the last 8 years, while\u00a0following the ideology of good governance,\u00a0benefits of all welfare schemes are being extended to the last mile citizen.\u00a0“Taking forward the resolution of good governance, we have taken a resolution to celebrate the year 2023 as Antyodaya Arogya Varsh,” said Sh.\u00a0Manohar Lal while addressing a press conference held here today.\u00a0The Chief Minister said that while taking care of the poor families, the state government has increased the annual income limit of BPL families from Rs 1.20 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh and Haryana is the first state in the country, which has changed the criteria for BPL income. As a result of these dedicated efforts, the number of BPL families has increased to about 29 lahks, he informed.\u00a0He said that\u00a0the\u00a0process of making automatic ration cards is going on through Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).\u00a0The Chief Minister informed that according to the new income criteria,\u00a0the names of 12 lakh new families have been added to the BPL list.Sh. Manohar Lal said that the data of those who have been excluded from the BPL list includes 1.32 lakh families who file income tax returns, 51,489 government and contractual employees, 2119 government pensioners and 3,44,821 families with income above Rs 1.80 lakh. He further shared that there are 2,27,000 families whose names have been excluded from the BPL list whose annual electricity bill is more than Rs 9,000.\u00a0“If any complaint is received from such families, then a fresh survey of their income verification would be done,” informed Sh. Manohar Lal.\u00a0The Chief Minister said that a fresh survey will be done for around\u00a02 lakh industrial workers and 7,416 farmers who sold crops worth Rs. 4 lakh.The Chief Minister said that directions have been issued to the Additional Deputy Commissioners in this regard. The ADCs have been directed to resolve the complaints related to ration cards within 15 days. If even after 15 days problem is not resolved then all such families will\u00a0get a ration for this month, said Sh. Manohar Lal.He said that citizens can get their ration card updations done by calling\u00a0on toll-free numbers 18001802087 and 1967.He further informed that about 29 lakh families have been provided free treatment facilities upto Rs. 5 lahks annually\u00a0under the CHIRAYU yojana.\u00a0An additional expenditure of about Rs 500 crore will be incurred by the state government on this, asserted Sh.
