\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Anmol Gagan Mann explained the Water Tourism Policy 2023 and Adventure Tourism Policy 2023 aimed to promote tourism in Punjab.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The minister said that these two policies have been prepared in consultation with tourism industry experts and are a special part of the efforts being made by the Punjab government to boost the tourism sector in Punjab.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 She added that under the Water Tourism Policy 2023, river rafting, boating, water sports and other water-based tourism activities will be promoted in Punjab. She said that this policy includes developing the infrastructure related to water tourism in a new way so that tourists from all over the world can be more attracted towards Punjab\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Apart from this,\u00a0 she said that the Adventure Tourism Policy 2023 is focused on promoting adventure tourism activities like trekking, camping and paragliding in the state. She told that the aim of this policy is to develop more adventure tourism destinations in Punjab.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The cabinet minister explained, tourism is an important sector to strengthen the economy of Punjab and the state government is making continuous efforts to develop it further.
