Haryana is the first state in the country to implement such a scheme, aimed at conserving and protecting aging trees.He said that if someone has a tree aged 75 years or older at the courtyard of his house , he can apply for the pension by visiting the office of Forest Department\u00a0 in their concerned district. The application would\u00a0 be evaluated by a committee, and upon verification of all conditions, the beneficiary will be given\u00a0 pension.He said that the State Government has been proactive in implementing environment-friendly initiatives, recognizing that trees play a\u00a0 pivotal\u00a0 role in providing us oxygen . Most importantly, the\u00a0 trees aged 75 years or older release large amount of oxygen.
