{"id":7675,"date":"2023-08-30T00:01:26","date_gmt":"2023-08-29T18:31:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/indiaepost.com\/?p=7675"},"modified":"2023-08-30T00:01:29","modified_gmt":"2023-08-29T18:31:29","slug":"another-innovative-initiative-punjab-minister-harjot-singh-bains-takes-government-school-students-to-punjab-secretariat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indiaepost.com\/index.php\/2023\/08\/30\/another-innovative-initiative-punjab-minister-harjot-singh-bains-takes-government-school-students-to-punjab-secretariat\/","title":{"rendered":"Another innovative initiative: Punjab Minister Harjot Singh Bains takes government school students to Punjab secretariat"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>IEP Chandigarh, August 29<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Punjab School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains today conducted a surprise inspection at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Kharar and expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of the school during the visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the inspection, the School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains took the students of classes VI, VII and VIII to the Civil Secretariat and got information from them about the status of bathrooms, status of studies, uniforms, books, tests, syllabus and co-educational activities conducted in the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students pointed out that school rooms do not have proper lighting arrangements nor are they made to experiment in labs. Citing other problems, the students said that during the rainy days, water accumulates in front of the gate, due to which there is massive difficulty in commuting to and from school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from this, there are also problems due to excessive traffic in front of the main gate of the school during the holidays and in the morning. Pertinently, around 3300 students are taught in two shifts in Government Model Senior Secondary School, Kharar. After receiving information from the students, the School Education Minister immediately convened a meeting of all the senior officials of the Education Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On this occasion, S.
