National Voters’ Day will be celebrated in Haryana on January 25. Competitions such as debates, discussions, drawings, skits, songs, paintings, essays, etc., will be organized in all schools and educational institutions under the theme “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a circular addressed to Administrative Secretaries of all departments, Heads of Departments, Managing Directors of Boards, Corporations, Deputy Commissioners, Vice-Chancellors, and Registrars of all Universities, Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal directed that all staff under their control should take the NVD pledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Kaushal mentioned that the Election Commission of India has declared its foundation day as National Voter Day. This day is celebrated every year on January 25 across the country, from the polling station level to the block, assembly constituency, district, and state levels. The main objective is to spread awareness among the general public, ensuring that every eligible citizen is included in the voter list. Various activities such as rangoli making, essay writing, speech competitions, rallies, parade contingents, street plays, etc., are organized by school and college students at block, district, and state levels in collaboration with various government and non-government agencies to promote electoral participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
