75 th Republic Day, was celebrated in the Model Jail, Chandigarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sh. Raj Kumar Singh, IPS, Inspector General of Prisons, U.T., Chandigarh<\/p>\n\n\n\n

was the Chief Guest of the occasion. He was accompanied by Dr. Palika<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arora, PCS, Addl. IG Prisons, UT Chandigarh, Sh. Amandeep Singh, Addl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Superintendent Jail, Sh. Parmod Khatri, DSJ, Sh. Parveen Kumar, DSJ, Sh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mukesh Goel, DSJ and Asstt. Commandant, CRPF. The programme started<\/p>\n\n\n\n

with the Guard of Honour. Hoisting of National Flag was followed by National<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthem. Prisoners also sung Patriotic Song \u201cBande Matram\u201d prepared by the<\/p>\n\n\n\n

prisoners. The whole environment filled with sprit of love for the Nation. Jail<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Staff, CRPF Staff and inmates were also rewarded with cash prize and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

certificates for meritorious services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inspector General of Prisons also addressed the gathering<\/p>\n\n\n\n

and stated that the Jail authorities are committed for the welfare and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

rehabilitation as per the law of the Nation. He motivated the inmates as well<\/p>\n\n\n\n

as the staff for the integration and development of the Nation. Before<\/p>\n\n\n\n

departure, the Chief Guest distributed the sweets amongst the prisoners and<\/p>\n\n\n\n
