CET 2025: Candidates, Parents Applaud CM for  ensuring Seamless, Hassle-Free Arrangements

Chandigarh, July 27 – The Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025, conducted across Haryana on July 26-27, turned into an outstanding example of how government, administration, police, and society can work hand-in-hand to create a hassle-free and humane environment for lakhs of candidates and their families. Several candidates and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for the seamless arrangements made during the CET 2025 examination.

Meanwhile, across various districts, social and religious organizations arranged food, water, and accommodation for examinees. In Kaithal, Vaishno Sewa Samiti set up camps outside RKSD College, Jat College, and Government School at Jakholi Adda, offering tea, water, and food. They also provided tents, chairs, coolers, and fans to ensure that visitors remained comfortable.

Kuldeep, a member of Vaishno Sewa Samiti, said, “The government has paid special attention to candidates this time. Everyone visiting the camp has been praising Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for the excellent arrangements.” A parent of a candidate echoed this sentiment, saying that this year, there were no issues related to travel, food, or accommodation, and the Nayab government had “done a tremendous job.”

At Kaithal bus stand, Nar Narayan Sewa Samiti organized a ‘langar’ for candidates, while Mahant Triveni Das distributed drinking water outside multiple exam centres. Kaithal Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Preeti personally visited a camp organized by Maa Vaishno Devi Sanstha and appreciated their service efforts.

Administration Leads by Example

In Karnal, Nilokheri SDM, Sh.  Ashok Kumar set an inspiring example when a candidate, Renu Devi, was injured in a motorcycle accident on her way to the exam. The SDM personally ensured she received first aid and then drove her in his own vehicle to the exam centre in time, enabling her to take the exam. Renu Devi and her husband expressed heartfelt gratitude to the SDM and the Karnal district administration.

Free Transport and Police Assistance

Responding to the government’s appeal, social activists also arranged free transport for candidates. In Sirsa,  a volunteer Ajmer Singh used his own cars to ferry candidates to exam centres. The police too went the extra mile, helping candidates who reached the wrong centres or faced vehicle breakdowns. Quick responses to Dial 112 ensured that no candidate missed their exam due to unforeseen issues.

Two candidates who mistakenly reached Rania instead of Sirsa exam centres were safely dropped off by the police after a quick helpline call. A female candidate, Jyoti, who faced a similar issue, also praised the prompt police support.

Helplines Became a Lifeline

In Faridabad, special helpline numbers and Dial 112 worked as problem-solvers for candidates. Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Vikram Singh and Commissioner of Police (CP), Sh. Satender Kumar Gupta personally monitored complaints, ensuring immediate resolution. Around 200 calls related to bag storage, parking, and transport assistance were addressed with 100 percent resolution.  The Emergency Response Vehicle teams actively transported candidates to their exam centres.

Relieved and Grateful, Parents Praise Seamless CET Arrangements

Parents accompanying candidates appreciated the government’s arrangements. Premchand from Palwal’s Misa village, who travelled to Ballabhgarh with his son, said that all travel-related worries disappeared after seeing the help desks and guidance provided by district administration staff.

Special Transport for Mahendragarh Candidates

Candidates from Mahendragarh, who had centres in Rewari, were provided with special buses from Mahendragarh bus stand. After reaching Rewari, they were taken to their respective centres via route-wise buses and were also brought back after the exam.

Priyanka, a student from Ghari village, and Amar from Mandola village appreciated the arrangements, saying they faced no difficulty at any point. Special provisions for bag storage were also made for students who came alone. “Such facilities reduce exam-day stress and boost confidence,” said the candidates while thanking the  Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini government for being a true supporter on humanitarian grounds.

Notably, the  CET 2025 thus became not just an exam, but a showcase of seamless coordination, humane governance, and community participation – reinforcing people’s trust in the state government under Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership.

State Government delivered Development Works on Ground, says Krishan Lal Panwar

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth around Rs. 5 crore in village Kurana of Panipat district.

Addressing the villagers present, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that the initiative taken by the State Government to implement development works on the ground has benefitted the common man. The list of works inauguration of which and the foundation stone of which has been done by the Minister include construction of interlocking road from Kurana bus stand to the drain,  construction of a banquet hall behind the Panchayat Bhawan near Baba Wale Johad, a Chaupal near the bus stand, and nine roads which are to be paved.

Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that  the government has ensured that the benefits of every scheme reach the last mile citizen. He added that by making all government schemes online, corruption has been eliminated, and youth have been given jobs on merit.

Teej Festival Celebrated with Traditional Fervour at Haryana Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, July 27 – A grand celebration of Hariyali Teej took place today at Haryana Raj Bhavan with enthusiasm and Traditional Fervour. On this occasion, Haryana Governor Prof. A.K. Ghosh extended his warm greetings to the people of the state and wished everyone happiness, prosperity, and a blessed life.

Haryana Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini also conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the citizens on this auspicious festival. He stated that Teej is a symbol of our cultural heritage and social harmony that connects us with our traditions.

The event was attended by the Governor’s wife Smt. Mitra Ghosh, Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Suman Saini, Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry, Principal Secretary to CM Sh. Arun Gupta, Chandigarh Chief Secretary Sh. Rajeev Verma, Haryana DGP Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur, Chandigarh DGP Sh. Sagar Preet, along with several senior officials and dignitaries.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Governor and the Chief Minister along with their spouses. This was followed by a group performance of the Haryana State Song, which added a sense of cultural pride to the atmosphere. Enthralling folk dances on popular Haryanvi songs like “Sawan Ki Rut Aayi” and Punjabi Luddi mesmerized the audience.

The Raj Bhavan premises were beautifully decorated with colourful lights, creating a festive and joyous ambiance. Traditional swings were arranged for women and children, while stalls for mehendi (henna) and bangles added special charm to the celebration. A variety of traditional delicacies enhanced the flavour of the event.

Cultural troupes presented captivating folk songs and dances, showcasing Haryana’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant traditions, and glimpses of rural life. Impressed by the outstanding performances, the Governor announced an encouragement award of ₹4 lakh for the Department of Art and Culture and the performing artists.

Religious events are a Major Medium of Spiritual Awareness in Society- Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Public Health Engineering and Public Works( Building & Roads) Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa on Sunday attended the Shri Ati Rudra Mahayagya organized at Shree Gau Raksha Seva Samiti Gaushala in Barwala, Hisar district.

While praying for the prosperity and welfare of the state, he said that such religious events spread spiritual consciousness in society and serve as a medium for public awareness about religion, values, and cow protection.

The Cabinet Minister thanked all office-bearers and associates of the Samiti  dedicated to cow protection and preservation of Vedic traditions for organizing this excellent event. He also donated a tractor for service in the Gaushala. Later, he listened to the Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme at Booth No. 15 in Barwala.

The Cabinet Minister also met citizens at his residence in Hisar, heard their grievances, and directed officers concerned to ensure proper resolution.

CM’s Visit to Mark a New Era of Development in Narwana:  Krishan Kumar Bedi

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Social Justice, Empowerment ,SCs & BCs Welfare and Antyodaya(SEWA) Minister, Sh. Krishna Kumar Bedi said that August 17 will be a historic day for the progress of Narwana area in Jind district. On this day, Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will address a public rally at the New Grain Market ground and will announce development projects worth crores for the region. He said that the Chief Minister’s visit will significantly help in removing the backwardness of the area.

He stated that the present government is committed to serving the poor, Dalits, women, youth, and farmers. With a focus on Antyodaya welfare, the government is ensuring that the benefits of schemes reach every eligible beneficiary, paving the way for Haryana’s holistic growth. He expressed confidence that Haryana will soon become a leading state in education, safety, and welfare of women and youth.

The Minister was speaking at a public gathering during a ‘Dhyanawadi Daura’ to Kanya Gurukul in village Kharal, Narwana Assembly constituency. During this, he gifted development projects worth Rs. 15 crore for village Kharal. On the occasion, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of five works costing around Rs. 97 lakh. These include foundation stones for Valmiki Chaupals in Sahu Patti and Basau Patti  to be built at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh each, inauguration of a new Langar Hall built  at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh, a library setu up at a cost of Rs. 13.5 lakh), and  a street constructed at a cost of Rs. 8.5 lakh.

Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi further said that an ambulance for the Gurukul and 10 computers for the library will also be provided for the  convenience of the students.

Sharing details of other works, he said that a new drinking water pipeline and booster will be set up in the village at a cost of Rs. 9.98 crore. A road has been constructed from village Kharal to Dhabi Tek Singh at a cost of Rs 1.90 crore. Similarly, a road has been constructed from the village to Dhamtan Sahib at a cost of Rs 1.23 crore, another road from village Hamirgarh to Kharal Anaaj Mandi at a cost of Rs 33 lakh and from the village to Pipaltha at a cost of Rs 33 lakh has also been constructed.

He assured that nearly two dozen other demands of the Gram Panchayat will also be fulfilled soon and announced a grant of Rs. 5.51 lakh for the Langar Hall.

Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ Inspires the Nation- Dr. Arvind Sharma

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Co-operation, Jails and Tourism Minister, Dr. Arvind Sharma said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme boosts the morale of the citizens and gives them new energy. He said that due to Prime Minister’s policies, India has earned a new identity on the global stage. Referring to Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s mention of Shubhanshu Shukla’s return from space, he said it is a moment of pride for everyone and has sparked a new curiosity in the country about science and space.

On Sunday, the Cabinet Minister listened to the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme along with party workers at his camp office in Gohana. Afterward, he said that Prime Minister, Sh.  Narendra Modi highlighted two significant initiatives to preserve India’s rich knowledge, tradition and biodiversity. Calling the announcement of the ‘Gyan Bharatam Mission’ a historic step, he said that this mission will serve as a medium to connect future generations with the soul of India.

He said that Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme is inspiring every citizen to move forward positively, and this campaign is being talked about across the world. He appealed to party workers to ensure greater participation in organizing the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme at more places so that every Indian can be connected with this campaign.

CET Exam Conducted for Over 13.48 Lakh Candidates in Two Days

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Chairman, Sh. Himmat Singh informed that the CET examination was successfully conducted on July 26 and 27. Admit cards were issued for more than 13.48 lakh candidates for these two days.

On Sunday, the exam was held in two shifts. In the first shift, the exam was conducted for 3,37,022 candidates at 1,335 examination centers, while in the second shift, 3,36,624 candidates appeared at 1,333 centers. Earlier, on July 26, arrangements were made for 6,75,051 candidates. across all shifts on both days, the average attendance exceeded 90 percent, reflecting the growing public confidence in the Commission and the transparency of the examination process.

Sh. Himmat Singh further informed that extensive technical arrangements were made at both the district and state levels to ensure accurate and transparent monitoring of the examination process. A state-of-the-art control room was set up at the Commission’s headquarters in Panchkula, from where all exam centers across the state were monitored.

Live streaming from over 50,000 cameras was tracked on 26 large screens and 50 laptops installed in the control room. Each screen displayed feeds from 9 cameras simultaneously. With the help of artificial intelligence, the visuals automatically changed every 15 seconds. In case of crowding or any irregularity at a center, the relevant feed would automatically pop up on the screen, he shared.

Sh. Himmat Singh said that more than 100 staff members remained continuously active at the HSSC headquarters to oversee the entire process. Separate monitoring centers were also set up in all districts. Real-time biometric attendance data was sent from the exam centers to the headquarters, ensuring transparency and reliability in the process, he informed.

Sh. Himmat Singh expressed gratitude to all departments, social and religious organizations, bar associations, Haryana Transport Department, Railways, district administrations, observers, teachers, and the entire staff who contributed to the successful conduct of the examination. He said that this achievement was possible due to team spirit and collective dedication.

स्वर्णकार उत्तराखंड की पारंपरिक आभूषणों को वैश्विक मंच पर लाने का प्रयास करें – सीएम धामी

सीएम धामी ने प्रदेश के सभी स्वर्णकारो से आग्रह किया है कि वे उत्तराखंड की पारंपरिक आभूषणों को भी वैश्विक मंचों पर भी प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयास करें। मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा है कि आज संपूर्ण विश्व भारतीय कला, संस्कृति और डिज़ाइन की ओर आकर्षित हो रहा है इसलिए हमें चाहिए कि हम अपने पारंपरिक डिज़ाइन को वैश्विक बाजार की मांग के अनुरूप ढालें, जिससे भविष्य में ‘लोकल टू ग्लोबल’ का सपना साकार हो सके।  

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि स्वर्णकारों का यह प्रयास हमारी युवा पीढ़ी को भी अपनी संस्कृति और विरासत से जोड़ने का माध्यम बनेगा, जो आज आधुनिकता की दौड़ में अपने पारंपरिक आभूषणों और लोकशिल्प से विमुख होती जा रही है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने स्वर्णकारों को आश्वस्त किया है कि यदि उनके संगठन के माध्यम से कोई ठोस प्रस्ताव लेकर आते हैं, जो हमारे राज्य में स्वर्णकार समाज के कौशल विकास, पारंपरिक आभूषणों के संरक्षण और उनके वैश्वीकरण को बढ़ावा देने में सहायक हो तो राज्य सरकार उसे पूरा सहयोग प्रदान करेगी। सरकार राज्य में स्वर्णकार बोर्ड बनाने के विषय पर विचार करेगी।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी के कुशल नेतृत्व में ‘वोकल फॉर लोकल’, ‘मेक इन इंडिया’, ‘मेड इन इंडिया’ और ‘स्टार्टअप इंडिया’ जैसी पहलों के माध्यम से ’आत्मनिर्भर भारत’ के स्वप्न को साकार करने की दिशा में ठोस कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं।  प्रधानमंत्री जी के अथक प्रयासों के परिणामस्वरूप आज देश के कारीगरों, शिल्पकारों और स्वदेशी उत्पादों को न केवल नई पहचान मिल रही है, बल्कि वैश्विक मंच पर भी उनका गौरव बढ़ रहा है।

भारत बनेगा वैश्विक ज्वेलरी मैन्युफैक्चरिंग और डिजाइनिंग हब

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री जी “विकसित भारत 2047” के लक्ष्य को साकार करने की दिशा में भारत को वैश्विक ज्वेलरी मैन्युफैक्चरिंग और डिजाइनिंग का हब बनाने हेतु प्रयासरत हैं। इस दिशा में केंद्र सरकार द्वारा आधारभूत संरचना के विकास, कौशल प्रशिक्षण, निर्यात संवर्धन और गुणवत्ता मानकों को सुनिश्चित करने हेतु बहुआयामी योजनाएं संचालित की जा रही हैं। प्रधानमंत्री जी ने पिछले वर्ष मुंबई में ’भारत रत्न मेगा कॉमन फैसिलिटी सेंटर’ की आधारशिला रखी थी, जो देश में जेम्स एंड ज्वैलरी सेक्टर को विश्वस्तरीय तकनीक, अत्याधुनिक डिजाइनिंग सुविधाएं और वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा की क्षमता प्रदान करने की दिशा में एक क्रांतिकारी कदम है।

उत्तराखंड में पारंपरिक कारीगरों को आधुनिक तकनीकों का प्रशिक्षण

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री जी के मार्गदर्शन एवं सहयोग से हमारी सरकार भी प्रदेश में पारंपरिक कौशल को बढ़ावा देने और हस्तशिल्प से जुड़े समुदायों को सशक्त करने हेतु अनेक योजनाएं चला रही है। हम विभिन्न कौशल विकास कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से पारंपरिक कारीगरों को आधुनिक तकनीकों से प्रशिक्षित करने का प्रयास कर रही है।
आर्थिक सहायता योजनाओं के अंतर्गत लघु एवं कुटीर उद्योगों को सस्ती दरों पर ऋण और सब्सिडी की सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध कराई जा रही हैं।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि हमारी सरकार ने राज्य में अनेक विभिन्न योजनाओं और नीतियों को सफलतापूर्वक लागू किया है, जिससे आज राज्य का समग्र विकास सुनिश्चित हो रहा है। यही कारण है कि हमारा राज्य ईज ऑफ डूइंग बिजनेस में एचीवर्स और स्टार्टअप रैंकिंग में लीडर्स की श्रेणी में आया है। आज हमारा राज्य युवाओं को रोजगार देने में भी अग्रणी राज्य बनकर उभरा है, हमने एक वर्ष में बेरोजारी दर में 4.4 प्रतिशत की कमी लाकर राष्ट्रीय औसत को भी पीछे छोड़ने का काम किया है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि  हमने राज्य हित में कई ऐतिहासिक निर्णय भी लिए हैं, जिन्हें पूर्व की सरकारों ने अपने राजनीतिक स्वार्थों के चलते ठंडे बस्ते में डाल दिया था। हमने देश में सबसे पहले “समान नागरिक संहिता” को लागू करने का ऐतिहासिक कार्य किया है। साथ ही, हमने प्रदेश में देश का सबसे प्रभावी नकल विरोधी कानून लागू किया है, जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप उत्तराखंड में पिछले 3 वर्ष में लगभग 23 हजार से अधिक युवाओं ने सरकारी नौकरियां पाने में सफलता प्राप्त की है।

ऑपरेशन कालनेमि“ का विस्तार किया जाएगा

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि  हमारी सरकार देवभूमि उत्तराखंड के सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों और डेमोग्राफी को संरक्षित रखने के प्रति भी पूर्ण रूप से संकल्पबद्ध है। इसी संकल्प के साथ, हमने प्रदेश में लैंड जिहाद, लव जिहाद और थूक जिहाद जैसी घृणित मानसिकताओं के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की है, साथ ही, हमने प्रदेश में एक सख्त धर्मांतरण विरोधी कानून भी लागू किया है।वर्तमान में पूरे प्रदेश भर में चल रहा “ऑपरेशन कालनेमि“ सनातन धर्म को बदनाम करने वाले ढोंगियों का पर्दाफाश कर रहा है। इस ऑपरेशन को आने वाले दिनों में और अधिक विस्तार प्रदान करने की हमारी मंशा है।

From August 1, Anti-Drug Education to Begin in Punjab Government Schools: Harjot Singh Bains

Nangal/Chandigarh, July 27

Starting August 1, a new anti-drug education subject will be introduced in Punjab’s government schools, as part of the state government’s special initiative “War Against Drugs”. This move is being hailed as a strong grassroots-level step under Punjab’s broader mission to create a drug-free society.

The announcement was made by Cabinet Minister Harjot Singh Bains, who handles the Departments of Education and Information & Public Relations, while addressing a large and impactful gathering during the anti-drug seminar organized by the Electronic Media Press Club at the School of Eminence in Nangal.

Minister Bains emphasized that the “War Against Drugs” campaign has received wholehearted support from the press fraternity, who have played a critical role in taking the government’s efforts to the people. He acknowledged the media as the “fourth pillar” of democracy and an essential medium for communicating the government’s performance and messages to the public in an accessible manner.

During the event, he announced the construction of a 500-seat auditorium at the government school in Nangal. He also highlighted that an all-season swimming pool is already under construction at the school. The introduction of anti-drug curriculum in schools, he said, will help spread awareness to every household, ensuring the message of a drug-free Punjab reaches all corners.

Minister Bains praised the drawing competitions and cultural performances held during the event and thanked local social workers for their continuous support in previous anti-drug campaigns. On this occasion, individuals who have raised their voices against drug abuse and contributed positively to society were specially honored. He congratulated the organizers of the event and thanked them for their significant contributions.

Also present at the seminar, DIG Rupnagar Range Harcharan Singh Bhullar and SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana affirmed that the Punjab Government is working intensively to eliminate drug abuse from its roots. Drug traffickers are being jailed, supply chains are being dismantled, properties amassed through drug money are being demolished, and patients are being admitted to de-addiction centers for treatment. They urged the public to support this mission by fearlessly sharing information about drug traffickers with the police.

Students from local schools also took a pledge to work towards building a drug-free society. The success of the seminar was celebrated widely, with congratulatory messages coming in from electronic media members, local residents, print media representatives, and community organization leaders.

3 Child Beggars Rescued During 11 Special Raids Under Statewide Campaign: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh, July 27:

Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur today informed that under the ongoing state-level campaign “Project JEEVANJYOT–2”, three child beggars were rescued during 11 special raids carried out across various districts of Punjab. Since the launch of this phase of the campaign, a total of 195 children have been rescued through 190 special raids conducted over the last 11 days.

She added that these raids were conducted by the district-level Child Protection Teams in Barnala, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Patiala, Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Tarn Taran.

During the recent raids, two children were rescued in Hoshiarpur and one in Sangrur. After counselling, the child rescued in Sangrur was reunited with the parents, while the documentation of the two children rescued in Hoshiarpur is still under process, and both have been shifted to a Child Care Institution (CCI).

Dr. Baljit Kaur stated that a total of 102 children have been admitted to CCIs during these 11 days. She further informed that if there is any suspicion regarding the relationship between a rescued child and the accompanying adult, the District Child Welfare Committee is authorized to recommend DNA testing with the approval of the Deputy Commissioner to ensure the child’s safety and identity.

Issuing a stern message, the Minister said that any parent found forcing their child into begging, even after repeated counselling, will be declared unfit guardians and face legal consequences. Moreover, any individual involved in child trafficking or exploitation will also face strict punitive action under the law.

Dr. Baljit Kaur reiterated the Punjab Government’s firm commitment towards the protection and welfare of children. She said that “Project JEEVANJYOT” is not just about rescuing children from the streets, but also about ensuring they are provided with education, nutrition, shelter, and a dignified life.

She also appealed to the public to refrain from giving alms to child beggars and to immediately inform the authorities if any child is seen begging. Citizens can report such cases by calling the Child Helpline at 1098, so that timely intervention can help transform the lives of these children.
