Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Nayab Singh Saini said that the smooth and efficient conduct of the Common Eligibility Test (CET) was made possible due to the coordinated efforts of officers and employees across Haryana. Such teamwork ensured that CET set a perfect example of efficient administration, he said, while interacting  with the reporters in Panchkula on Sunday.

Earlier, the Chief Minister participated in Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme at Panchkamal, Panchkula. He said that the monthly address showcases inspiring stories of people who have contributed to society and highlights India’s cultural values, providing encouragement to citizens nationwide.

Making a mention of the  CET arrangements,  the Chief Minister said that the government ensured hassle-free facilities so that candidates could appear for the exam in a positive and comfortable environment. Administrative officers, police personnel, and roadways staff worked in close coordination, while parents and local residents also extended support by setting up refreshment points for candidates at various locations.

This combined effort turned CET into a meaningful and well-organised event across the state, the Chief Minister added.

On this occasion, Media Secretary Praveen Atre and other dignitaries were also present.

Chandigarh, July 27 – Due to changes in the schedules of some chief guests attending Teej Mahotsav events to be celebrated today, certain modifications have been made.

Sharing more details in this regard an official spokesperson informed that, as earlier, the state-level main function will be organised in Ambala, where Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will attend as the chief guest. On this occasion, Minister of Women and Child Development Smt. Shruti Choudhry will also be present.

Similarly, Development and Panchayat Minister,  Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar will attend the celebrations in Sirsa, while Revenue Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel will attend the function in Rewari, Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda will attend the function in Fatehabad, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana will attend the function  in Jhajjar, Co-operation Minister, Dr. Arvind Sharma will attend the function in Sonipat, and Public Health Engineering Minister,  Sh. Ranbir Gangwa in Hisar.

Besides this, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes Welfare and Antyodaya (Seva),  Sh. Krishan Kumar Bedi will attend the  function in Bhiwani, while Health Minister, Ms.  Arti Singh Rao will participate in the programme in Narnaul.

Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Dr. Krishan Lal Middha will also attend the Teej celebrations in Jind.

Chandigarh, July 27 – On the second day of the Common Eligibility Test (CET), Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) Chairman, Sh. Himmat Singh reached the Gaur Brahman Central Senior Secondary School in the morning as the exam began and reviewed the arrangements at the examination centre. Rohtak Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Dharmendra Singh accompanied him during the inspection. Both officials interacted with candidates and staff members on duty and expressed satisfaction with the arrangements at the centre.

Later, Sh. Himmat Singh also visited the Rohtak Bus Stand to review transport facilities for candidates. He spoke to students appearing for the exam and even posed as a candidate to make a call to Dial 112 for assistance. Receiving a prompt and positive response, he expressed satisfaction with the service and encouraged students to make use of such facilities whenever needed.

Additionally, he inspected the shuttle bus service at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Stadium, from where candidates were being transported to their respective exam centres. Around 100 buses have been deployed for the shuttle service, with the district divided into 13 routes to ensure smooth operations.

General Manager Roadways, Sh. Vipin Kumar was also present during the inspection.

Chandigarh, July 27-  Haryana Transport Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the successful conduct of the Common Entrance Test (CET) exam has been possible due to the cooperative spirit of officers, employees of all departments, and the candidates. Early in the morning, he appreciated the roadways bus drivers who were on duty from 5 a.m.

Sh. Anil Vij also interacted with media persons after inspecting the arrangements made by the Transport Department at Ambala Cantt bus stand for the conduct of the CET exam.

The Transport Minister said that providing  safe and timely bus services to CET candidates along with ensuring transport facilities for the general public was a big task. As it is the Teej festival and also a weekend (Saturday and Sunday), most people prefer to travel to and from their homes using public transport. We ensured that besides CET candidates, common passengers were also taken care of. He added that he personally interacted with several candidates, and their happy faces reflected that they were fully satisfied with the transport arrangements.

The Minister said that the Transport Department staff had been on duty since 5 a.m. and had done commendable work. All officers and employees are sincerely performing their duties to successfully conduct the CET exam.

Later,  he boarded a bus to interact with the candidates and enquired about their exam experience. After this, the Transport Minister also went to the reception of the Ambala Cantt bus stand, checked the staff attendance register, and found everything satisfactory. Similarly, he inspected the public service Roti Bank at the bus stand and found that a meal was being provided to candidates and the general public at just Rs. 5, which was appreciated by everyone.

Chandigarh, July 27- The Common Eligibility Test (CET-2025) in Narnaul and Mahendragarh witnessed a heartwarming example of compassion and service. As hundreds of candidates arrived at exam centres, a group of dedicated volunteers from the District Red Cross Society silently became a lifeline for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates.

Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vivek Bharti, the volunteers had arranged special tricycles to ensure that no candidate faced any difficulty in reaching the exam halls. From early morning, the volunteers waited near the exam centres, helping students reach the entrance safely and comfortably.

For two days, this initiative stood out as a rare example of inclusive thinking. Parents of the candidates and other citizens watched with admiration as volunteers cheerfully assisted students, making them feel confident and cared for. Many passers-by lauded the effort, saying that such sensitivity gives true meaning to public service.

For the candidates, this effort was far more than simply providing transport to the exam centre as it created a welcoming environment that allowed them to focus on their exams without stress. With smiling faces and words of encouragement, the volunteers proved that a small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan said that elders are a rich source of experience and morale. He urged senior citizens to use their wisdom to guide the progress of society and contribute to the region’s development. Progress should never stop. The development works accomplished so far should boost our morale, and plans for future development must be prepared, said Sh. Harvinder Kalyan.

Speaking at a meeting with senior citizens at BRM College in Gharaunda, Karnal district on Sunday, the Speaker assured that a dedicated meeting hall would be built for the elderly in a local park. He also suggested forming a senior citizens’ club or committee to organize activities and collectively address issues.

He stressed that elders have an important role in ensuring that facilities like schools, colleges, and hospitals are functioning effectively, that public funds are being used properly, that students receive quality education and values, and that cleanliness is maintained in the city.

He advised them to form a club, society, or group, hold monthly executive meetings, and convene general body meetings periodically in the city auditorium to discuss civic improvements. Elders, he said, should balance their focus on their families and the wider community, and jointly find solutions to any challenges they face.

Reiterating his commitment, the Speaker promised the construction of a meeting hall in the park and said that Gharaunda must be made more beautiful and cleaner.

Chandigarh, July 27 – The Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025, conducted across Haryana on July 26-27, turned into an outstanding example of how government, administration, police, and society can work hand-in-hand to create a hassle-free and humane environment for lakhs of candidates and their families. Several candidates and their families expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for the seamless arrangements made during the CET 2025 examination.

Meanwhile, across various districts, social and religious organizations arranged food, water, and accommodation for examinees. In Kaithal, Vaishno Sewa Samiti set up camps outside RKSD College, Jat College, and Government School at Jakholi Adda, offering tea, water, and food. They also provided tents, chairs, coolers, and fans to ensure that visitors remained comfortable.

Kuldeep, a member of Vaishno Sewa Samiti, said, “The government has paid special attention to candidates this time. Everyone visiting the camp has been praising Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini for the excellent arrangements.” A parent of a candidate echoed this sentiment, saying that this year, there were no issues related to travel, food, or accommodation, and the Nayab government had “done a tremendous job.”

At Kaithal bus stand, Nar Narayan Sewa Samiti organized a ‘langar’ for candidates, while Mahant Triveni Das distributed drinking water outside multiple exam centres. Kaithal Deputy Commissioner, Ms. Preeti personally visited a camp organized by Maa Vaishno Devi Sanstha and appreciated their service efforts.

Administration Leads by Example

In Karnal, Nilokheri SDM, Sh.  Ashok Kumar set an inspiring example when a candidate, Renu Devi, was injured in a motorcycle accident on her way to the exam. The SDM personally ensured she received first aid and then drove her in his own vehicle to the exam centre in time, enabling her to take the exam. Renu Devi and her husband expressed heartfelt gratitude to the SDM and the Karnal district administration.

Free Transport and Police Assistance

Responding to the government’s appeal, social activists also arranged free transport for candidates. In Sirsa,  a volunteer Ajmer Singh used his own cars to ferry candidates to exam centres. The police too went the extra mile, helping candidates who reached the wrong centres or faced vehicle breakdowns. Quick responses to Dial 112 ensured that no candidate missed their exam due to unforeseen issues.

Two candidates who mistakenly reached Rania instead of Sirsa exam centres were safely dropped off by the police after a quick helpline call. A female candidate, Jyoti, who faced a similar issue, also praised the prompt police support.

Helplines Became a Lifeline

In Faridabad, special helpline numbers and Dial 112 worked as problem-solvers for candidates. Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Vikram Singh and Commissioner of Police (CP), Sh. Satender Kumar Gupta personally monitored complaints, ensuring immediate resolution. Around 200 calls related to bag storage, parking, and transport assistance were addressed with 100 percent resolution.  The Emergency Response Vehicle teams actively transported candidates to their exam centres.

Relieved and Grateful, Parents Praise Seamless CET Arrangements

Parents accompanying candidates appreciated the government’s arrangements. Premchand from Palwal’s Misa village, who travelled to Ballabhgarh with his son, said that all travel-related worries disappeared after seeing the help desks and guidance provided by district administration staff.

Special Transport for Mahendragarh Candidates

Candidates from Mahendragarh, who had centres in Rewari, were provided with special buses from Mahendragarh bus stand. After reaching Rewari, they were taken to their respective centres via route-wise buses and were also brought back after the exam.

Priyanka, a student from Ghari village, and Amar from Mandola village appreciated the arrangements, saying they faced no difficulty at any point. Special provisions for bag storage were also made for students who came alone. “Such facilities reduce exam-day stress and boost confidence,” said the candidates while thanking the  Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini government for being a true supporter on humanitarian grounds.

Notably, the  CET 2025 thus became not just an exam, but a showcase of seamless coordination, humane governance, and community participation – reinforcing people’s trust in the state government under Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini’s leadership.

Chandigarh, July 27 – Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth around Rs. 5 crore in village Kurana of Panipat district.

Addressing the villagers present, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that the initiative taken by the State Government to implement development works on the ground has benefitted the common man. The list of works inauguration of which and the foundation stone of which has been done by the Minister include construction of interlocking road from Kurana bus stand to the drain,  construction of a banquet hall behind the Panchayat Bhawan near Baba Wale Johad, a Chaupal near the bus stand, and nine roads which are to be paved.

Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar said that  the government has ensured that the benefits of every scheme reach the last mile citizen. He added that by making all government schemes online, corruption has been eliminated, and youth have been given jobs on merit.
