Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal, taking an important step towards making the state free from stray cattle, has directed to launch a special campaign from February 15 to 29 to relocate about 60,000 destitute cows to nearby gaushalas. The primary objective of this campaign is to remove stray cows from the state’s roads and mitigate the risk of road accidents.

Sh Manohar Lal was presiding over a meeting regarding the establishment of new gaushalas in the state here today. Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister Sh J.P. Dalal was also present.

While giving instructions to the concerned officials of the Gau Sewa Aayog, the Chief Minister said that under this campaign, the task of relocating destitute cows to gaushalas should be expedited to ensure the protection of cows in the state.

While instructing the officials, the Chief Minister said that further action should be taken on the proposals of panchayats for establishing gaushalas. Additionally, he directed the officials of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and the Panchayati Raj Department to identify land for cow grazing in villages. In villages where cow grazing land exceeding 10 acres is identified, discussions should be initiated with the Panchayats for establishing gaushalas. Furthermore, a committee comprising officials from the Gau Sewa Aayog, Development and Panchayat Department, and other relevant departments should be formed to oversee this process.

Mr. Manohar Lal instructed the officials of Gau Sewa Aayog to ensure that cows are accommodated within the capacity of the gaushalas. Additionally, he emphasized the need for regular inspections of the gaushalas to ensure proper care and accommodation of the cattle.

During the meeting, the Chairman of Gau Sewa Aayog, Mr. Shravan Kumar Garg, informed that from January 10, 2024, until now, a total of 8,200 destitute cows have been relocated to gaushalas across the entire state.

Additional Chief Secretary of Development and Panchayat Department Mr. Anil Malik, Additional Chief Secretary of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department Mr. Ankur Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mrs. Ashima Brar, Commissioner and Secretary of Urban Local Bodies Department Mr. Vikas Gupta, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Sh Bharat Bhushan Bharti, Vice Chairman of Gau Sewa Aayog Sh Puran Yadav and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.

Elections for Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in Haryana will be held on March 6, 2024. Justice HS Bhalla, Commissioner Gurdwara Elections, has released the schedule for the first general elections of the “Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee” in all 40 wards across the state.

As per the schedule issued by the Commissioner, the Returning Officer will publish the notice inviting nominations on February 9, 2024. Following this, nominations will be filed from February 10 to 16, 2024, (except February 11-Sunday and February 14-gazetted holiday). The list of nomination papers will be posted on from February 10 to 16 except February 11 and 14. The scrutiny of nomination will be carried out on February 17.

If a candidate’s nomination is rejected by the Returning Officer, they can submit an application to the Deputy Commissioner by February 19th, following which the Deputy Commissioner will render a decision by February 20th.

The list of valid nominations will be published on the same day, February 20. Candidates can withdraw their nominations the following day, on February 21. The list of polling stations to be posted will be posted on February 23. Polling, if required, will take place on March 6, 2024.

The polling hours will be from 8 am to 5 pm. Following the conclusion of the voting process, the counting of votes will be conducted immediately, and the Returning Officer will declare the results on the same day.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Sh. Anurag Agarwal said that under the biennial election schedule issued by the Election Commission of India, the nomination process for one seat of Haryana in the Rajya Sabha will begin on February 8, 2024, till February 15, 2024.

Sh. Agarwal, while providing information here today, said that the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on February 16, 2024, and withdrawals can be made by February 20, 2024.

If necessary, the polling will be held on February 27, 2024, between 9 am to 4 pm in Committee Room No. 2 of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Building, Sector-1, Chandigarh. The counting of votes will take place on February 27, 2024, at 5 pm. He said that the election process will be completed before February 29, 2024.

At the 37th Surajkund International Crafts Mela in Faridabad today, both national and international artists mesmerised visitors with their stunning performances. Renowned comedian Sh. Mahendra Singh entertained the audience with his humor, while artists from Rajasthan kicked off cultural programs with their famous ‘Chakri’ folk dance at the ‘Chhoti Chaupal’.

Artists from the international and national levels, including those from Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana, exhibited the rich cultural heritage of their respective countries and regions through splendid performances of folk dances, stunts, and more.

Artists entertained tourists throughout the day, keeping the Surajkund Mela atmosphere enlightened with excitement and enthusiasm. The ongoing mela features a vibrant showcase of traditional crafts, cultural performances, and culinary delights, captivating visitors from near and far.

The Haryana Labour Department organized a ‘Shramik Sahyogi Shivir’ at the Chitkara International School Auditorium, Sector 28, Panchkula, aimed at enhancing and inspiring the capacity of employees. The objective of this programme was to promote the spirit of hard work, smart work, and teamwork among employees for the welfare of workers.

Giving information in this regard, the Principal Secretary, Labour Department, Sh. Rajeev Ranjan, said that efforts are being made to make the department’s functioning convenient and easy with this initiative. The essence of our collective efforts should be embedded in a positive perspective towards our work. It is important that all of us, as part of this organization, devote our energy towards finding solutions rather than focusing on problems. Collaboration with time management and teams is not only encouraged but essential in completing tasks and achieving our goals.

Sh. Rajeev Ranjan emphasized that the interests of the organisation should be prioritized over personal ambitions so that we can align with the collective mission. We should establish a proper balance in our workplaces and ensure that our actions and decisions contribute positively to our shared objectives. Along with keeping the interests of the workers in mind, they should also be empathetic. Apart from this, the integration of modern technology, tools, and techniques will enhance our efficiency.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that the current state government has initiated a new tradition of delivering benefits of government schemes and services directly to citizens’ homes, thereby discontinuing the practice of requiring people to visit offices.

Mr. Dushyant Chautala made these remarks while addressing the residents of Prem Nagar and Badhavad villages in Hisar district after redressing their grievances. During the interaction, he not only addressed their concerns but also announced several development initiatives. He announced to construct a gymnasium in Badhawad village, to upgrade the water infrastructure, and the construction of a community center building at a cost of Rs 75 lakh.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government school of this village will be named after martyr Omprakash. Similarly, he announced construction of additional water tank for adequate water supply in Dhani Prem Nagar village. The Deputy Chief Minister also announced the construction of a digital library in Bheri Akbarpur village and the construction of the Phirni of the village. He said that the state government is continuously taking concrete steps to raise the level of education. In this direction, a digital library will also be established in this village. Fulfilling the demand for appointment of veterinary doctors in the village veterinary hospital, he said that the result of the recruitment of VLDA doctors has been declared and soon the newly appointed doctors will be appointed in the hospitals of the state.

Deputy Chief Minister said that excellent work is being done by the state government for the development of every section and area. Many schemes have been implemented to make women empowered and self-reliant. In addition, 50 percent participation has been ensured in Panchayati Raj institutions. Many commendable works have also been done to improve the condition of farmers. He said that 14 crops are being purchased at the minimum support price, while 18 fruits and vegetables have also been included in the Bhavantar Compensation Scheme. Earlier, farmers had to stay in the mandis for many days to sell their crops, but today not only the crops are being purchased immediately but the money from the crop sale is also reaching the bank accounts of the farmers directly.

Minister of State for Labour Sh Anup Dhanak, MLA Sh Jogiram Sihag were also present on this occasion.

The Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Sh. Anurag Agarwal appealed to every voter in the state to cast their vote independently and impartially for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024. He emphasised that if any voter is being pressured by anyone, they should report it on the helpline number 1950, and the concerned authorities should ensure to resolve their issue.

Mr. Anurag Agarwal chaired the meeting held here today to discuss and review the responsibilities pertaining to the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Sh. Agarwal said that if anyone feels that the election code of conduct is being violated in their area, such as the sale of liquor, illegal painting on walls, hoardings, rallies, etc. then they can file a complaint via the cVIGIL mobile app and the concerned officers on duty will ensure the resolution of such complaints within 100 days.

He also stated that the administration must ensure that there are no conflicts based on religion or caste at any booth. He directed all the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police to jointly inspect all the sensitive areas and to appoint sector officers in all districts immediately. He further instructed the sector officers to prepare the requisite Sector Management Plan.

In another stride towards fostering planned urban development in Haryana, Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal has directed the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) to expedite the purchase 5000 acres of land  through the e-bhoomi portal, land pooling policy or aggregator to facilitate the development of new sectors. This proactive measure by the government aims to curtail the proliferation of illegal colonies.

The Chief Minister, who also serves as the Chairman of the HSVP, issued these directives while chairing the 126th meeting of the Pradhikaran here today.

Sh Manohar Lal said that HSVP should comprehensively catalog all its properties, including residential, commercial, or institutional. He mandated that any land-related applications submitted by citizens to Estate Officers in the field must be promptly reported to the headquarters without fail.

Approval granted for allotment of land for ESI dispensaries

During the meeting, approval was granted for the allotment of land for the construction of ESI dispensaries across various districts. This initiative aims to enhance medical services for insured individuals and their dependents under the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scheme. It was informed in the meeting that ESI dispensaries would be established in Mullana (Ambala district), Farrukhnagar (Gurugram district), Dadri Toi and Jhadli (Jhajjar district), Tarawadi and Gharaunda (Karnal district), Kosli (Rewari district), Chhachhrauli (Yamunanagar district), Charkhi Dadri and Barsat Road (Panipat district). In addition, an ESI hospital with approximately 100 beds will be constructed in Hisar, for which land allocation has already been finalized.

HSVP will allot land to government departments at 50 percent rates

In accordance with the Chief Minister’s directives, the HSVP’s policy to allocate land to government departments at reduced rates has been approved. Under this policy, land would now be allocated by HSVP at a 50 percent discounted rate to various government departments for public interest development projects. However, this provision will only apply to departments, while boards and corporations will continue to receive land at fixed rates.

During the meeting, it was informed that dependents of deceased employees from the engineering wing of the HSVP were provided employment on compassionate grounds. Among those who benefited from this initiative are Rishab, Namit, Rahul, and Shivam.
