Initiation of Haryana Orbit Rail Corridor, Costing About Rs 5700 Crore

Haryana Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal stated that the 126-kilometer-long Palwal-Sonipat Railway Line project, alongside the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, costing ₹5700 crore, is underway and will connect Nuh, Sohna, Manesar, and Kharkhoda.

Presiding over the meeting with officials today to discuss the progress of land acquisition for the Haryana Orbit Rail Corridor Project, Chief Secretary Kaushal emphasized that this project would be a significant boon to the state.

In total, 441.47 hectares of land have been acquired for the project. Compensation amounting to ₹1419.24 crore is being distributed, with ₹1167.92 crore already disbursed. The remaining ₹251.32 crore will be distributed as soon as possible, and the acquisition of the remaining land is in progress, he added. He directed officials to expedite the distribution of compensation for acquired land in Palwal, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Nuh, and Sonipat. He also urged them to ensure the distribution of structure compensation in sub-divisions Palwal, Sohna, Gurugram, Pataudi, Nuh, and Tawadu as soon as possible.

Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Anurag Rastogi, and HRIDC officers attended the meeting.

Home Minister Anil Vij redresses grievances to the people of the state in Ambala

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today redressed the grievances to people of the state at his residence in Ambala and gave directions to the officers for action.

A complainant from Charkhi Dadri informed Home Minister Anil Vij that he has been falsely implicated in a rape case by a woman. The complainant alleged that the woman is demanding Rs. 20 lakh to settle the case. The police are not conducting a fair investigation. Home Minister Anil Vij has directed to the SP, Charkhi Dadri to form an SIT to re-investigate the case.

A complainant from Panipat informed in a complaint about falsely implicating his mother and wife in a murder case. The complainant alleged that during the incident, his mother and wife were not present at the spot. Home Minister Anil Vij has directed the SP of Panipat to conduct a re-investigation in this case.

Fraud of Rs. 53 lakh in the name of sending to US

A complainant from Kurukshetra reported that immigration agent demanded money in the name of sending his son to US. He paid Rs. 53 lakh to the agents. However, instead of sending his son to America, the agents sent him to Dubai first and later called him back to the country. Now, when he demands his money back, he is being threatened. Home Minister Anil Vij has directed the SIT (immigration fraud) to take action in this case.

Similarly, a contractor from Yamunanagar revealed that he had taken a contract to build a house in Yamunanagar and was promised a labour payment of Rs. 8.82 lakh. However, he received only 4.77 lakh rupees, and when he demands the remaining amount, he is being threatened. Home Minister Anil Vij has directed the SP of Yamunanagar to take action in this case.

Home Minister Anil Vij has also given directions for action in other cases. A woman from Jind complained about no action being taken in a case of assault. A complainant from Karnal did not submit a challan in court in a cheating case, and students from a medical college in Rohtak used indecent language against the college administration, A family from Sirsa demanded a change of investigating officer in a dispute case, and a woman from Kurukshetra alleged non-arrest of the accused in a suicide case and other cases were also brought to the attention of Home Minister Anil Vij, who directed the concerned officers to take action.

VB registers case against revenue Patwari for taking Rs 3,000 bribe

          The Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB), during its ongoing campaign against corruption in the state, has registered a corruption case against revenue Patwari Sunny Sharma, posted at revenue halqua Ferozeshah, in Ferozepur district for accepting bribe of Rs 3,000 and demanding Rs 2,000 more money through Paytm app.

          Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said this case has been registered against the said accused on an online complaint lodged by Rachhpal Singh, a resident of village Saidoke, district Faridkot on the Chief Minister anti corruption action line.

          He further added that the complainant has alleged in his complaint that the above said Patwari has demanded bribe of Rs 5,000 to make amendments in the revenue records regarding ownership of agricultural land belonging to his brother-in-law which was fraudulently altered by his predecessor. He further alleged that the said Patwari had already obtained Rs 3,000 as a bribe from him and asking to pay the second instalment of Rs 2,000 on his Paytm account. The complainant has also made recordings of demand raised by the said Patwari to take bribe and submitted to the VB as an evidence.

          In this regard the VB range Ferozepur has investigated the complaint and found the allegations as true and correct. On the basis of this report, a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the above said accused at VB police station Ferozepur range. Further investigation into this case was under progress, he added.

THREE ASSOCIATES OF TERRORISTS LAKHBIR LANDA AND HARWINDER RINDA HELD FROM AMRITSAR; TWO PISTOLS RECOVERED

          Amidst the ongoing drive to eradicate organised crime from the state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police has arrested three associates of a terrorists Harwinder Singh alias Rinda and Lakhbir Singh alias Landa Harike, said Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Wednesday.

          Those arrested have been identified as Jobanjit Singh alias Joban, Bikramjit Singh alias Bikka and Kulwinder Singh alias Kala. Police teams have also recovered two .32 caliber pistols along with 10 live cartridges, besides, impounding their Maruti Swift car, in which they were travelling.

          DGP Gaurav Yadav said that acting on reliable intel-inputs, Police teams from the AGTF Punjab headed by ADGP Promod Ban under the supervision of AIG Sandeep Goel and led by DSP AGTF Border Range Harminder Singh tracked their location, and nabbed them at T-Pont Near village Safipur Tarn-Taran road in Amritsar.

          He said that both the accused persons have criminal history as Joban was wanted in Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), attempt to murder case, Arms Act, NDPS Act and IT Act offences and remained absconding for long. While other accused Bikka was also wanted in two criminal cases pertaining to attempt to murder, he added.

          “Preliminary investigations have revealed that the accused were carrying out criminal activities on the directions of their foreign handlers to disturb the hard-earned peace and harmony of the border state,” said the DGP.

          Sharing more details, AIG AGTF Sandeep Goel said that further investigations are on and more arrests are expected in coming days.

          A case FIR No. 11 dated 05-02-2024 has been registered under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act at Police Station SSOC Amritsar.

PUNJAB TO KICK START MASS INOCULATION DRIVE AGAINST LUMPY SKIN DISEASE FROM FEBRUARY 25

          Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is all set to inoculate as many as 25 lakhs bovines as a preventive measure against the Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD), disclosed Gurmeet Singh Khudian, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, Punjab, while informing that the vaccination drive will be commenced from February 25.

          S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian, along with Additional Chief Secretary Animal Husbandry Mr. Vikas Pratap, was reviewing ongoing projects and functioning of the department here at Punjab Bhawan.

          The Cabinet Minister said that now, the Goat Pox vaccine is being repeated for the third time as a booster dose to a preventive measure against the disease. Notably, following the outbreak of LSD across the country in last year, the vaccination drive against LSD was carried out for cattle in the state. He also asked the officials to ensure the smooth transportation of the vaccination, besides, maintaining cold chain efficiently.

          Emphasising on the need to make a foolproof mechanism to save livestock from diseases, S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian directed the department officials to make a comprehensive vaccination action plan within a month. He also directed the field staff of the department to sensitise the livestock farmers about the benefits of the different immunisation drives and involve the district administration and panchayats in this noble cause to prevent the livestock from different diseases.

          ACS Mr. Vikas Pratap apprised the cabinet minister that deworming drive is being carried out across the state at a cost of around Rs 6.37 crore. The drive will conclude on February 10. Apart from this, medicines worth Rs 1.56 crore have already been sent to Veterinary Hospitals and Dispensaries of the state. He also informed that the department has recently completed the mass immunisation drive against Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD).

Dr Baljit Kaur holds meeting regarding  formulation of policies for welfare of transgender persons

          Social Security, Women and Child Development and Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur held a meeting with the officials of the department at her office in Civil Secretariat to formulate policies for the welfare of transgender persons.

          During this meeting, Special Chief Secretary Social Security, Women and Child Development Mrs. Raji P. Srivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Mr. D.K Tiwari, Director of Social Security, Women and Child Development Dr. Shena Aggarwal, Special Secretary Mrs. Vimmi Bhullar, Director-cum-Joint Secretary, Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Mr. Raj Bahadur Singh and Deputy Director of Social Security, Women and Child Development Amarjit Singh Bhullar engaged in a detailed discussion regarding the formulation of policies for the welfare of transgender persons.

          The Cabinet Minister said that the aim of these policies is to create an environment of respect, dignity and support for transgender persons. She said that policies will be formulated by the Punjab Government  to prevent discrimination against these individuals and to establish an equitable and supportive environment for the transgender community. She mentioned that efforts are being made by the Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to improve the lives of transgender people.

          Dr. Baljit Kaur directed the officials to conduct inter-deparmental meetings with the Health Department, Home Department, Finance Department and NGOs to formulate policies for the welfare of transgender persons.

Cong will bring no-confidence motion against BJP-JJP Govt: Hooda

The former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Haryana Assembly Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday alleged that the current Government has been a failure in every field, and every section is unhappy with this government. So, the Congress party has decided to bring a no-confidence motion against the BJP-JJP led State government in the upcoming Budget session of Vidhan Sabha, scheduled to begin from February 20.

Senior Congress leader said this after presiding over a meeting of Congress Legislature Party here in Chandigarh.

Hooda said the party will raise the issues of various scams including cooperatives, Ayushman, mining and FPO, during the session. The Congress will also seek answers from the government on issues, like increasing unemployment in the state, irregularities in Skill Employment Corporation, sending youth to war zone in Israel, giving priority to outsiders in Haryana’s recruitment, recruitment scams and Agneepath Scheme.

Apart from this, the Congress would also raise issues like increasing drug abuse, stoppage of scholarship for SC-BC children, schemes for SCs, falling level of education, condition of farmers, damage caused by inclement weather, compensation for damage caused by flood, irregularities family identity card, bad condition of roads and minority issues. Hooda further said that the responsibilities have been assigned to MLAs on different issues. Adjournment and calling attention motions will be given in the House by the MLAs.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Hooda said that people have no expectations from the upcoming budget, because this government has not done any work except increasing the debt of the state.

CM chairs review meeting regarding complaints received on Jan Samvad Portal

Haryana to formulate a plan to involve final year civil engineering students from state universities and polytechnic institutes to work with Junior Engineers (J.E.) to assist in preparing estimates of civil works. The plan would certainly play a pivotal role in timely preparation of work estimates.

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while chairing a review meeting with the officers concerned regarding the resolution of complaints filed on the Jan Samvad portal.  During the meeting, he reviewed complaints received pertaining to the departments of Development and Panchayat, and Higher Education.

He directed officers to register complaints received in writing from the people during the Jan Samvad program on the Jan Samvad portal and resolve them promptly.

Reviewing these complaints, the Chief Minister said that most cases related to the Department of Development and Panchayat are associated with engineering works. Therefore, final-year civil engineering students from state universities and polytechnic institutes should be paired with junior engineers to assist in preparing estimates.

The Chief Minister was apprised that a list of junior engineers from departments closely involved in engineering works would be made available online for students, who can choose to work with a junior engineer within three days.

The Chief Minister emphasised the need for mapping of tasks and the preparation of categorised lists. The meeting also provided information that there are 23,364 development works listed by the Department of Development and Panchayat, 2370 by the Department of Public Health Engineering, and 1281 by the Urban Local Bodies Department.

Notably, four officers namely Additional Chief Secretary,  Public Health Engineering Department, Sh. A.K. Singh, Chairman of Power DISCOMs, Sh. P.K. Das, Chief Commissioner, Haryana Right to Service Commission, Sh. T.C. Gupta, and Advisor  (Irrigation) to Chief Minister, Sh. Devender Singh has been assigned special responsibility for handling complaints received during the Jan Samvad portal.

Haryana Chief Minister announces special girdawari in hailstorm-hit areas

Haryana Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal today said that directions have been issued to conduct special Girdawari to assess crop damage caused due to hailstorms in the state.

Sh Manohar Lal informed this while interacting with the media persons after addressing ‘Ethics Conclave’ organized under Mission Karmayogi in Panchkula today. Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh Gian Chand Gupta was also present on this occasion.

The Chief Minister said that State has witnessed rain and hailstorm in the last three-four days. Crops have been damaged in many districts due to hailstorm. Special Girdawari will be conducted in such areas and compensation will be paid to the affected farmers.

Home Minister Anil Vij directs to constitute SIT to investigate cases of murder and suicide separately

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij directed the police officers to constitute an SIT to investigate cases of murder and suicide seperately. Additionally, he also directed the IG of Hisar Range to constitute a SIT in the case of illegal encroachment and vandalism of houses in Hisar.

Sh. Vij gave this direction while addressing the public grievances at his residence in Ambala Cantonment, on Tuesday.

Siblings from Chandigarh complained to Home Minister Sh.Anil Vij that their father committed suicide on the railway line some time ago and a case was also registered at the GRP Chandigarh station. A few days after the father’s death, they received a suicide note stating that under pressure from some people, he was committing suicide. They alleged the police of not arresting any accused in the case despite complaining to the GRP long time ago. The Home Minister directed the IG, GRP to form an SIT to investigate the case.

Similarly, a complainant from Panipat informed Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij of the lack of action against the accused in the case of his son’s murder. The complainant stated that his son was electrocuted while sleeping at night and an attempt was made to frame someone else as part of a conspiracy. The accusation was that despite complaining to the police, no accused has been arrested so far. Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij directed to form an SIT to investigate the case.

Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij has directed the IG of Hisar to form an SIT to investigate the case of encroachment and demolition of houses based on the complaint of a resident of Hisar.

A complainant from Hisar accused a woman of blackmailing him and threatening to seize his property. A married woman from Yamunanagar accused her in-laws of harassment. A family from Nuh put forward their complaint of inaction in the case of their child’s murder, upon which Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij directed SP Nuh to take stringent action in the case.
