Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the state government is continuously working in the interest of the society and its aim is to bring the benefits of every scheme made for the citizens at the ground level with transparency. “Moving in the direction of ‘Ease of Living’, we have to bring change in the standard of living of the citizens,” he added.The Chief Minister was addressing the BJP workers of six Lok Sabha constituencies at Samalkha in Panipat district on Sunday. He called upon the party workers to work unitedly to take the schemes and achievements of the government to the masses. “The state government has launched important schemes to strengthen the economic condition of the needy, farmers and backward classes; so that their standard of living could be improved,” he added. “Following the mool mantra of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas aur Sabka Vishwas’, we had given the slogan of ‘Haryana Ek- Haryanvi Ek’ in the year 2014 to ensure uniform development of the state,” said Sh Manohar Lal. He said that in the last 8 years, the state government, by rising above the politics of regionalism and nepotism; has got development works done in all the 90 assembly constituencies. “Today, Haryana is ahead of many states in the country on the path of development,” he asserted.The Chief Minister said that the present state government works on one principle. “The government has made a scathing attack on 3-C; corruption, crime and caste-based politics. We have adopted a zero tolerance policy to curb corruption. Corruption in the society will not be tolerated at all,” he said, adding that the state government has also laid emphasis on education, health, self-respect, security and self-reliance.He said that the central and the state government have launched several welfare schemes for the citizens. In Haryana, eligible citizens are getting the benefit of every scheme sitting at home through the Parivar Pehchan Patra.Prior to this programme, the Chief Minister was welcomed by Lok Sabha MP, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Rajya Sabha MP, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar, MLA Sh. Pramod Vij and others; on his arrival at Seva Sadhna and Gram Vikas Kendra. On the occasion, BJP Haryana in-charge, Sh. Biplab Kumar Deb, BJP state president, Sh. Om Prakash Dhankar and people’s representatives of six Lok Sabha constituencies were present.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the youth clubs play an important role in organizing creative, social and cultural programmes. He said that there is a big participation of the society in such events and it strengthens mutual love, harmony and brotherhood in the society.The Chief Minister was interacting with the delegation of Uttarakhand Yuva Manch in Chandigarh.The delegation of the Uttarakhand Yuva Manch expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing financial assistance to them for organizing the Kauthig programme. The Chief Minister said that the youth club is actively participating in works like financial assistance in the education of poor children, blood donation camps and tree plantation drives.On the occasion, Uttarakhand Yuva Manch, president, Vasudev Sharma, general secretary, Sanjay Jakhmola, joint secretary, Ashutosh Kothari, additional joint secretary, Arvind Rawat and convener, Bharat Pawar felicitated the Chief Minister by presenting bouquet and mementos.

IEP Mohali

The concept of Mohali Industrial Economic Zone (MIEZ), a flagship project of Royale Estate Group (REG), which was showcased at the Mohali Industries Association(MIA) Expo-2023  was a big hit  among the participating B2B companies. The two day expo which was held at Mohali Industries Association complex has concluded. The B2B event, which was organized to mark 50 years of MIA, saw  participation of over 100  companies from diverse fields. 

MIA Expo-2023, was the region’s first B2B exhibition. The expo was inaugurated by Piyush Kansal, Ashish Mittal, both Directors of REG, Arun Raghav,Head Admin & HR, Mahindra Swaraj,  Jasminder Chahal, State Business Head,ICICI Bank and  Varinder Sharma, Director, MSME, Ludhiana. MIA also honoured both the Directors of REG for their visionary project MIEZ. At least 50 plus industrialists interested in investing in MIEZ were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

“The response to MIEZ at MIA Expo-2023 was amazing. Our concept went  down well with the potential investors. We are really excited,” said REG Director Piyush Kansal.

“We presented MIA Expo-2023 in order to showcase our upcoming project MIEZ -Mohali Industrial Economic Zone to potential investors, who were  top B2B players who  came to the expo from places like Baddi, Delhi etc. MIEZ is being developed  in keeping with our vision of creating  projects best suited for all types of industries. It is in sync with our aim to provide a platform for MSMEs and other stakeholders where they can explore best investment options,” said Ashish Mittal. 

A lot of awareness was generated at MIA Expo 2023 about MIEZ which will be the region’s first of its kind state-of-the-art industrial facility, being developed on Banur Tepla Road in 100 plus acres of land. Many investors have already chosen MIEZ as their destination for future growth.

Explaining the vision behind MIEZ, Mittal said that the facility is in consonance with the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat and Punjab, and offers a one stop solution for a range of industries like textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, tools and precision, assembling units, building material, warehousing , cold storages, engineering and fabrication units, electrical and electronic items, food and food processing, ceramics and refractories, distillery, pesticides and many more.

 The plan is to offer a 360 degree solution for all industrial needs. It will have an effluent treatment plant (ETP), skill development centre, R & D centre, tool and equipment room, wide roads and all civic amenities. “It will be a unique investment hub, a first of its kind Integrated Industrial Park dedicated to the MSMEs. The project is in tune with the vision of PM Modi to make India self-reliant,” informed Piyush. 

IEP Panchkula

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) – Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation organised a community kitchen, or bhandara, here. This was the Foundation’s  51st bhandara and  a Delhi based  Industrialist family provided the funds for the same. To support the noble cause, Shyam Kumar Maheshwari who is an Industrialist from Delhi and his wife Abha Maheshwari  came forward and extended financial support for the ‘Sarvajanik Bhandara’ or Community Kitchen.Amitabh Rungta, Sevadar of Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation, said that he is deeply grateful to the Maheshwari couple for the gesture as it helped feed 100’s of needy people like daily wagers, labourers, factory workers etc .It is noteworthy that Shree Shyam Karuna Foundation provides  free food or langar through its weekly bhandara, and also serves abandoned cows and  cows that require medical treatment. The weekly bhandara is held at Industrial Area, Phase 2, Panchkula. The NGO has also announced that it will adopt needy girl students from the villages of Panchkula district and undertake all expenses for their education. A list of such girls was being made through a survey of underprivileged families living in villages. 

IEP Amritsar, March 18      

    Fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of the entire Majha region, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday dedicated the newly constructed Railway Over Bridge at Vallah to decongest the traffic thereby facilitating the pilgrims coming to the city.          “This is a historic initiative that will help in decongesting the traffic in the historic city to benefit the residents, devotees and commuters” said the Chief Minister while addressing the gathering to dedicate the project.          The Chief Minister said that this is a humble initiative by the state government to give fillip to the development of this holy city. He said that lakhs of devotees daily pay obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib, Durgiana Mandir, Jallianwala Bagh, Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath and others on this sacred land. Bhagwant Mann said that this project will facilitate them in easily approaching the city and paying obeisance.          The Chief Minister said that about Rs 33 crore has been spent on this ambitious project at Amritsar-Sahnewal section of the Railways. He said that this project has come up with collaboration of the centre and the state government adding that Amritsar Improvement Trust has spent Rs 18.83 crore on this ROB. Bhagwant Mann said that Rs 14.12 crore was share of the Railways out of which Rs 7.48 crore has been received whereas Rs 6.64 crore is still pending.            The Chief Minister congratulated the people of state especially of the holy city for successfully organizing the Education session of G-20. He said that in these sessions representatives of powerful countries which constitute around 80% of the globe have participated. Bhagwant Mann expressed hope that these deliberations will form the bedrock for bringing qualitative changes in the education sector in the member countries.          The Chief Minister said that the state government has not left any stone unturned for ensuring comfortable stay for the visiting delegates. He said that with the proactive support and cooperation of the people of the city, the efforts of the state government had delivered desired results and the delegates had enjoyed the warm hospitality of the state. Bhagwant Mann said that the delegates will take along with them the vivid memories of their visit to Punjab which will be part of their journey of life forever.          The Chief Minister unequivocally said that the state government is making strenuous efforts to develop Punjab as hub of Education. He said that in the coming time the wealth of an individual will not be measured by the number of bungalows, cars or properties he owns. However, Bhagwant Mann said that the royalty of an individual will be ascertained by the level of education which his/ her children had acquired.          The Chief Minister said that for this purpose his government is making concerted efforts to strengthen the education sector in the state. He said that 117 Schools of Eminence have been set up in 23 districts of the state to provide quality education to children.  Bhagwant Mann said that these schools will focus on grooming students for five professional and competitive courses including engineering, law, commerce, UPSC and NDA.          The Chief Minister further said that in a major push to Medical education in Punjab, the state government has decided to construct 16 new Medical colleges in the coming five years. He said that this will enhance the total tally of medical colleges in the state to 25 thereby ensuring that every district of the state touches a medical college. Bhagwant Mann further said that work on two medical colleges has already started in the state.          The Chief Minister asserted that he is the votary of the fact that the democracy with diverse ideas and views is always a successful one. In the same manner, Bhagwant Mann said that in democracy opposition and ruling party both are important adding that both of them should make concerted efforts for the development of the state. Citing the example of MPs from southern states, he said that despite varied political affiliations they are always together when any matter pertaining to the interests of their respective states and its people is there adding that the same zeal and spirit should be everywhere for holistic development and prosperity.

 The final Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Chandigarh Tri-City Complex has been discussed in the meeting held today under the Chairmanship of Sh. Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Administrator, Chandigarh. The meeting was attended by Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Chief Minister Haryana, Smt. Anmol Gagan Mann, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture Affairs, Punjab, Sh. Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh, Chief Secretary Haryana, senior officers from Punjab, Haryana, Civil Aviation, Air force Authorities, Railway Authorities and all other stakeholders.RITES made the presentation covering all aspects of CMP i.e. the vision and objectives of the study, existing traffic scenario, problems and issues, Short, Medium and Long Term Plans and proposals, Citywide Integrated Multi-Modal Transport Plan, Institutional Strengthening, Broad Cost Estimate, and the way forward. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana suggested that this is a need connect Panchkula via Madhya Marg by MRTS to serve the areas of PGI, Punjab and Haryana Secretariat and Panjab University.Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar also suggested to connect Haryana Secretariat, Assembly, High Court, PGI and Panjab University in the first phase of Metro.  He also stressed that measures also need to be taken to improving connectivity to Pinjore – Kalka and of Zirakpur to Pinjore – Kalka, segments.The Chief Principal Secretary to CM, Haryana suggested that the road connectivity from Panchkula to Mohali Airport may also be examined at the earliest for convenience of all commuters.The Hon’ble Minister Tourism and Culture Affairs, Punjab said that the overall transport improvement proposals with respect to Mohali are in order and further suggestions if any shall be communicated to Chandigarh Administration within a week’s time for incorporation in the final report. The Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development, Punjab advised to connect MRTS from Airport Chowk Mohali to Airport in First Phase itself.The Mayor Chandigarh, Sh. Anup Gupta also seconded this suggestion made by CM Haryana.The Hon’ble CM Haryana and Hon’ble Minister Punjab appreciated the Chandigarh Administration for preparation of CMP for Tricity through RITES Ltd. and accepted the proposals to ease out the traffic and transportation problems of the Tricity.Further it was also agreed to set up Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority (UMTA) a unified platform to handling overall Mobility issues of tricity UMTA will comprise Govt. of India, officials Chandigarh Administration, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab stakeholders to ensure coordination among various institutions and implementation of this mobility plan to improve the traffic situation in the city.Sh. Banwarilal Purohit appreciated the positive feedback and valuable suggestions given by different stakeholders that would benefit the residents of tricity and resolve the existing traffic related issues of the UT Chandigarh and the neighbouring areas of Punjab and Haryana.The final CMP report submitted by RITES was unanimously approved with above observation and same will be submitted incorporating these suggestions for further approvals by Govt. of India.
