Sh. Manohar Lal said that today the land holding is getting smaller. The only way to make the small land holding profitable is for the farmers to move towards horticulture and take to the cultivation of fruits, vegetables and flowers.

“Our target is to double the area under horticulture to 22 lakh acres and triple the production by the year 2030. I am sure that with the cooperation of hardworking farmers like you, we will be able to achieve this goal,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government has ensured that the horticulture farmers do not have to bear the brunt of fluctuating market prices, for this, a protected price has been fixed for horticulture crops under the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana. With this system, the farmer gets to know at the time of sowing how much income he will get per acre.

The Chief Minister said that the farmers have to bear heavy losses in crops due to adverse weather also, so the government has started Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Mukhyamantri Bagwani Bima Yojana to save the farmers from the risk of weather uncertainties. This includes 21 horticulture crops. In this, Rs 75,000 per hectare claim amount is being given for vegetables and Rs 1 lakh for fruits.

The Chief Minister said that there was a time when farmers faced challenges in receiving their rightful payments for their crops. Often, the money used gets transferred to the wrong accounts, leaving them on the receiving end. However, the present government has put an end to this practice. Approximately Rs 50,000 crore has been directly transferred to farmers’ accounts through DBT. When farmers sell their crops now, the money is promptly deposited into their accounts.

The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi for introducing the Kisan Samman Nidhi, providing Rs. 6000 as assistance to farmers.

He said that the state government had installed about 53,000 solar pumps in the state last year and farmers were given subsidies for these pumps. This year also 70,000 new solar tube wells will be installed. This will also reduce the consumption of electricity and the farmer will also get a huge benefit, added Sh. Manohar Lal.

Manohar Lal has said that the State Electricity Regulatory Commissions are significantly enhancing electricity services for the consumers and positively impacting DISCOMs. As a result, all the DISCOMs in Haryana have achieved profitability for the first time attributed to their efforts and the ‘’Uday’’ Scheme introduced by the Prime Minister, sh. Narender Modi.The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Regional Conference of Electricity Regulatory Commissions organized on the occasion of the silver jubilee formation of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission on 17 August 2023.Chief Minister congratulated the companies for completing 25 years of formation and also overcoming the losses with the “Uday” scheme initiated by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi. Haryana’s efforts resulted in the state’s DISCOMs collectively overcoming a loss of Rs. 25,950 crores, and now all four DISCOMs in Haryana are operating at a profit.The “Mhara Gaon, Jagmag Gaon” scheme has facilitated 24-hours power supply in 5745 villages across the state, while the rates of electricity bills have remained unchanged over the past 9 years. In addiont, line losses have reduced from 34 percent to 15 percent showing people’s increasing reliance on electricity, he added.The agriculture sector received substantial subsidies with plans underway to embrace green energy as an alternative. Last year, 53,000 agricultural tube wells were brought on solar power in Haryana under the PM Kusum Yojana. This year, a target has been set to bring 70,000 agricultural tube wells to solar power.Chairman, Power Utilities, Sh. PK Das, DGP, Sh. A meeting of the Grievance Redressal Committee meeting will be held under the Chairmanship of Haryana’s Labour Minister, Sh. Naveen Kumar said that 15 complaints will be put up for hearing in this meeting. Several ambitious programs are being run by the Nigam for quick resolution of the problems of the consumers, he added. He said that the CGRF would take up all the grievances and complaints of consumers like billing problem, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, non-compliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc. However, the cases of theft and unauthorized use of electricity, offences and penalties as specified under Section 126 and Section 135 to 139 of Electricity Act, accidents and inquiries as under Section 161 of the Act would not be considered by the Forum.

Haryana Government Employees Can Now Register Maintenance-Related Complaints on eAwas Portal

The Chandigarh Administration has launched an e-Awas portal to facilitate the registration of complaints related to the maintenance of government houses situated in Chandigarh, which are allocated to Haryana government employees.The Chief Secretary office has urged all occupants of these houses to register their complaints on eawas.chd.gov.in portal.The Chandigarh Administration has sent a letter to the Chief Secretary stating that this portal will ensure that complaints are addressed efficiently and in a timely manner.

Furthermore, it is imperative that all documents intended for presentation or re-presentation in the Vidhan Sabha, such as Government motions, Vidhan Sabha questions, adjournment motions, and calling attention notices, strictly adhere to the aforementioned instructions. Additionally, these documents should also be uploaded on the NeVA Portal for proper dissemination and accessibility.

        It is crucial that replies to Vidhan Sabha Questions and calling attention motions are delivered to the Legislative Assembly Secretariat on time. In accordance with paragraph 346 (c) of the Secretariat Instruction Manual, First Edition, 1989, answers to Legislative Assembly Questions should reach the Secretariat at least 3 days before the due date. In cases of any unexpected delays, the answers must be provided to the Secretariat at least 24 hours prior to the session, reads the directive.

The information provided in the answers to Vidhan Sabha questions and the ‘Note for the Pad’ must be accurate and complete. An ‘Index of Information’ should accompany each answer. Administrative Secretaries bear personal responsibility for ensuring the correctness of this information. A total of 10 copies each (in English and Hindi) for Starred Questions and unstarred questions must be submitted to the Vidhan Sabha.

In cases where a question or calling motion is directed to a department not under its purview, the concerned Administrative Secretary should forward it to the relevant department and inform the Secretary, Haryana Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister’s Secretariat, and Parliamentary Affairs Department for reference. Returning such questions to the Legislative Assembly should be avoided.

Reiterating its commitment to promote the noble cause on the eve of World Organ Day, ROTTO PGIMER launched an awareness campaign that witnessed an enthusiastic response. As many as 76 people pledged for organ donation and over 350 counselled at the Awareness cum Pledging Camp organised under the campaign at OPD Complex of Advanced Cardiac Centre here at PGIMER today.During the campaign, ROTTO representatives reached out to a maximum number of people including staff on duty, made them aware of the concept of brain death and the importance of organ donation cards as well as addressed their queries pertaining to myths and misconceptions.Expressing his views on the eve of World Organ Donation Day, Prof. Vivek Lal, Director PGIMER stated, “PGIMER owes its distinct place in organ transplantation to all the brave heart donor families. It was not possible to reach this far without the gritty decisions and selfless gestures of these donor families. Words fail to pay our tribute to their magnanimity.”We here at PGIMER are taking many initiatives to bridge the gap between the waiting list and the transplants. Earlier Kidney transplants were only performed by a single department. As the waiting list kept getting longer with the addition of more patients on a daily basis. Let’s be the change and take the first step of pledging for organ donation and be instrumental in saving precious lives.”Over the last few years, the number of deceased donor transplants has been steady in PGIMER because of the special impetus by the leadership as well as due to synergised efforts by the concerned departments. PGIMER has successful transplant programmes in kidney, pancreas, liver and heart as well as dual organ transplant programmes. To date, the transplants done by PGIMER include Kidney: 4786(Live 4215; Cadaver 571); Liver:77; Heart:8; Pancreas:41 and Cornea:6713.Despite the best of efforts, the waiting list in PGIMER is still very long with recipients in waiting being 3707 for Kidney, 2250 for Cornea, 55 for Liver and 72 for Pancreas as on date.PGIMER is also designated as Regional Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO) under the National Organ & Tissue Transplant Programme (NOTP), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. To promote the cause of organ donation, ROTTO has been proactively undertaking various initiatives like community connect programmes in collaboration with NGOs, student engagement activities, meets with different stake-holders including medical fraternity, police personnel and sensitisation sessions with religious leaders, thereby, building an enabling environment for deceased organ donation.

Haryana to launch Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana soon, says CM Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that a survey will be conducted to provide plots or flats to the poor and needy families of the state who do not have their own houses. For this, the Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana will be launched soon, under which one lakh families will be benefited. Apart from this, those families who are yet to receive the third instalment of Rs 50,000 under PM Awas Yojana (Urban) will get it disbursed by August 31. This will benefit about 15,000 families in the State. The Chief Minister was interacting virtually with the beneficiaries of PMAY during Vishesh Charcha’ programme from Radaur in Yamunanagar today. He said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a major initiative to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of underprivileged people across the state. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 898 crore has been allocated for the construction of houses in urban and rural areas of the state. While congratulating the beneficiaries who have realized the dreams of getting their own houses, the Chief Minister said that these houses are the foundation for their better future. He urged them to start a new life from these houses and take their families to achieve great heights. He said that the progress of underprivileged families will propel the state and the country forward. He said that schemes are being formulated to provide basic amenities such as toilets, tap water, gas and electricity connections to the houses constructed under the PM Awas Yojana. The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to construct 67,649 houses under PMAY-Urban, out of which 14,939 houses have been constructed and 15,356 houses are under construction. For this, financial assistance of Rs. 522 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. He said that there is a provision of providing financial assistance of Rs 2.50 lakh in three instalments for urban areas. This included first and second instalments of Rs. 1 lakh each, and third instalment of Rs. 50,000. In addition, Rs. 32 crore has been provided for the expansion of 2,138 old houses. There is provision of providing Rs 1.50 lakh in three instalments, for house expansion, he added. Mr. Manohar Lal said that approval has been granted for the construction of 29,440 houses under PMAY-Rural, out of which 26,318 houses have been constructed. For this, assistance of Rs 376 crore has been provided . Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 1.38 lakh is directly transferred to the account of beneficiaries in rural areas in three instalments. This included the first instalment of Rs 45,000, second instalment of Rs 60,000, and the third instalment of Rs 33,000. He said that apart from realizing the dreams of the poor, this scheme also generates a lot of economic activity. This creates employment opportunities for the construction workers and boosts the business of those selling building materials.The Chief Minister said that it is the desire of every person to have their own house and to ensure a happy and prosperous life for their children. The government is committed to provide all possible help to such people. He said that providing a house to the needy is also the first step towards overcoming poverty. Therefore, the government’s priority is to uplift the needy under the Antyodaya Abhiyan. In this direction, the government is working to ensure that poor people in the state have their own house.Mr. Manohar Lal said that the Department of Housing For All has been created to bring all the housing schemes being run by various boards, departments, and corporations under one roof. This Department is working as the nodal agency to implement all the housing schemes. He said that the government is making every effort to ensure that the benefits of the government schemes and public welfare policies reach all the needy persons and the actual beneficiaries.The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has implemented the PMAY with a new vision by reforming the old housing scheme. Under this scheme, needy families are also getting the benefit of toilets built under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. This scheme will especially play a significant role in changing the lives of rural women and sisters of the state. Urban Local Bodies Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta also attended the programme virtually, while Director General, Housing for All, Mr. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Rahul Hooda and Superintendent of Police, Mr. Mohit Handa were present on this occasion.

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal said that the work for the construction of freight corridor from Kokata to Yamunanagar will be completed soon by the Central Government. After the completion of this corridor, Yamunanagar will be directly connected with Kolkata from a commercial point of view. The traders of Yamuna Nagar as well as the entire state will be benefited by this corridor, he added.The Chief Minister was interacting with the people after redressing their grievances under Jan Savad Programme held at Government School in village Alahar in Yamunanagar district today.Earlier, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated the village secretariat (Gram Sachivalya) constructed in village Alahar at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh. He also distributed tricycles and hearing aids to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Red Cross Society. On this occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with the women of Self-Help Groups and also inquired about their products.Interacting with the villagers, the Chief Minister said that the Government has a plan to lay a new railway line from Karnal to Yamunanagar. This scheme will be implemented soon through the Ministry of Railways. The people of village Alahar will also benefit from this new railway line, he added. He said that the State Government has so far spent about Rs 7 crore on the development of village Alahar. He said that as per the population of the village, the State Government will allocate Rs 80 lakh every year to the Panchayati Raj Department for development works. While assuring to fulfil all the demands of the villagers, the Chief Minister said that the Yamuna Canal Road will be paved and the chaupal of backward classes and the road up to Kartarpur will be repaired. The Chief Minister said that 121 residents of this village have got benefits of about Rs 20 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under this, Dalip availed the benefit of Rs 2. 71 lakhs for the treatment of heart disease. Apart from this, Naresh, Jasbir, Rajkumar, Satish and Harbans Kaur have also got the benefit of this scheme. During the Jan Samvad Programme, on the directions of the Chief Minister, pension of five beneficiaries namely Aagyapal, Ramkumar, Kailasho Devi, Raj Bala and Bimla Devi of the village was prepared on the spot. Besides, they were also given pension certificates.The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of the present State Government , 1.10 lakh government jobs have so far been given to the youth in the State purely on merit basis. In village Alahar also, 25 youths have got Government jobs.MP Nayab Singh Saini and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Loans given to 50,000 people so far through Antyodaya Melas: Chief Minister

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that through the Antyodaya Melas, employment to about 50,000 people have been given by way of providing them loans according to their needs. Eleven people of village Gudha have also been made self-reliant by providing them loans, he added. The Chief Minister was interacting with the villagers in village Gudha of Kurukshetra district under the Jan Samvad programme late last evening. Earlier, under the Meri Maati- Mera Desh campaign, the Chief Minister planted saplings near the programme venue. Besides, he also hoisted the flag and bowed before the Shilaphalakam (Shilapatta) and administered the oath of Panch-Pran to all those present on the occasion. Member of Parliament, Sh Naib Singh Saini and State General Secretary, Sh Pawan Saini were also present. Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal said that it is a matter of great pride that under the Meri Maati-Mera Desh campaign and as per the unity and integrity of the Nation, Gudha village is the first such village in Haryana, from where the work of soil collection in the “Kalash” started today. This programme would run across the country for the next 15 days. The soil collected from districts and States will be transported to ‘Kartavaya Path’ in Delhi, he added. He said that so far he has done Jan Samvad Programmes in more than 50 villages and a target has been set to hold these mass contact programmes in 300 villages. There are clear instructions to the officers that they would ensure that complaints received during the Samvad Programmes are redressed on priority basis. Sh Manohar Lal said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh Narendra Modi, the funds sent from the Center for development are hundred percent utilized on development works. The eligible beneficiaries also get the benefit under various schemes and programmes directly into their bank accounts. He said that the State Government has been successful in keeping a tab on corruption and by giving direct benefit to the eligible beneficiaries through DBT, an amount of Rs 1400 crore has been saved. He said that under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Ayushman cards of 1279 people of Gudha village have been made, of which 88 people have so far taken the benefit. An amount of Rs 27.87 lakh has been spent on their treatment. While assuring to fulfil almost all the demands of villagers, he said that 52 roads are being constructed in Ladwa assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 25 crore. During the Jan Samvad programme, he also directed the officers to start bus service of Haryana Roadways from village Gudha to Yamuna Nagar via Radaur.

Haryana CM announces big gift for the people of the state on the occasion of August 15

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is going to give a big gift to the people of the state on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15. He has announced that now families with an annual income ranging from Rs 1.8 lakh to Rs 3 lakh will also be entitled to get the benefit of ‘Ayushman Bharat Yojana’.From August 15, for preparing cards under this scheme. The Chief Minister said that at present, 30 lakh families in the state are getting benefits under the scheme, and now after this announcement an additional 8 lakh new families would be included, thus a total 38 lakh families would be able to take advantage of this scheme.Notably, the scheme is free for families with an annual income of up to Rs.1.8 lakh, while families with an annual income between Rs. 1.8 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh will need to contribute a nominal amount to avail the benefits of the scheme.After this announcement by the Chief Minister, Haryana has become the first State to implement such a public welfare scheme. This has secured the lives of lakhs of people in the State. People’s financial as well as mental problem has also been solved. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana is a panacea scheme for Antyodaya families and needy people are getting benefit from this, he added.
