Youth should focus on sports & Stomp out drugs from state :Anmol Gagan Maan

Cabinet Minister Ms. Anmol Gagan Mann encouraged the wrestlers to take part in the sport by reaching out to the wrestlers in the wrestling competitions organized at villages Togan and Majri of Halka Kharar of District SAS Nagar.  These wrestling competitions were organized at Jai Baba Guga Maidi Jaharveer Managing Committee Reg.Village Toga and Majri with the support of all the residents.  Renowned wrestlers from other states including Punjab participated in wrestling competitions.  On reaching at the venue , the cabinet minister was warmly welcomed by the residents and the youth present there.  After this, Ms. Anmol Gagan Mann inaugurated the competition by making the wrestlers join hands.

Addressing the public, the Cabinet Minister congratulated the organizers for organizing such sports competition for the residents of the constituency.  She said that the demand of the residents to install tubewell at Taugan village will be fulfilled soon.  She said that approval will be received from the government soon to build five bridges in the constituency.  

On this occasion, She appealed to the youth to give more attention to wrestling and other sports, shun away from drugs, and to shine the name of their parents, region and country by becoming good sportsmen.  The cabinet minister said that wrestling is a priceless heritage of Punjab which keep the body healthy. 

 On this occasion, SDM Kharar Mr. Ravinder Singh, Ravi Rana Togan, Ankit Sidhana MD, Raghbir Singh Badala, Suraj Bhan Goyal, Sukhwinder Singh Bittu, Nitasha Joshi besides volunteers were present.

CABINET LED BY CM APPROVES POLICY TO REGULARISE SERVICES OF ADHOC, CONTRACTUAL, TEMPORARY TEACHER AND OTHER EMPLOYEES OF EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

In a major employee friendly decision, the Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday approved a policy for regularising services of Adhoc, Contractual, and Temporary Teachers thereby benefitting more than 9000 employees of the state government.

A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of Council of Ministers chaired by the Chief Minister here at the Punjab Civil Secretariat- I.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Chief Minister’s Office said that previously various appointments to ‘Group C’ and ‘Group D’ level posts in government had been made on contract/temporary basis. Some of such employees have now put in a period of more than 10 years and had given their prime years of life in service of the state. The Cabinet opined that now at this stage, to relieve these employees will be unjustified and improper.

Thus, being a Welfare State and to protect the interest of these contractual temporary employees, state government has formulated a Policy for welfare of Adhoc, Contractual, and temporary teachers and other employees in Education Department under Article 162 read with entry 41 of list-II of the Seventh Schedule of Constitution of India, to ensure that such employees do not suffer from uncertainty and harassment and to grant them a security of tenure. The state government has taken a policy decision to continue such desirous suitable Teachers, who fulfill the eligibility conditions, in service till the age of 58 years by placing them in a special cadre. This policy, which will benefit more than 9000 employees, has been framed only in relation to Group C & Group D posts of Education department, Punjab.

For regularization of services an employee should have worked on adhoc, contractual, or temporary basis for a continuous period of minimum ten years till the issuance of present policy and must have possessed the requisite qualifications and experience for the post in terms of rules, if any, at the time of placement in the Special Cadre. The work and conduct of the applicant must have remained satisfactory as per the assessment of the department/employer during the period of 10 years service.

However, the policy will not be applicable to a person who has been engaged in an honorary capacity or on a part time basis or had attained the age of superannuation or had resigned on his own or had not been retained by the Department or had been engaged on outsourced basis or is on an incentive based engagement or does not possess the requisite qualifications and experience for the post prescribed under the service rules, if any, at the time of placement in the Special Cadre or had been engaged or continues in service on account of any interim order(s), direction(s) of any Court or Tribunal; or had been convicted of any offence involving moral turpitude or charges have been framed against him in a Court of Law relating to such offence.

For the purpose of grant of continuation to these employees they will be placed on a post, which shall not be a cadre post, by creating special cadre of posts. The process of placement of beneficiary employee will commence after submission of the Application Form, accompanied by all required documents, by him.  The beneficiary employees, who are being placed in special cadre posts and will be allowed to continue in service till the age of 58 years. They will be treated as a fresh appointee.

Five bridges to be approved soon for Kharar constituency : Anmol Gagan Maan

PGIMER PERFORMS FIRST CASE OF ROBOTIC ASSISTED BIORESORBABLE STENT IMPLANTATION

The first ever case of robotically assisted bioresorbable stent implantation in the world was done by the Department of cardiology, Advanced Cardiac Centre, PGIMER as an interventional procedure. The case was performed by Prof Yash Paul Sharma, Head of the Department of Cardiology and team. Patient was a 47years old with coronary artery disease and 90% stenosis of major coronary arteries. Patient underwent successful implantation of bioresorbable stents through the CorindusRobotic Arm of CardiacCath Lab.

Advanced Cardiac Centre, Department of Cardiology at PGIMER is the first center in India where Robotic assisted PCIs have been done. The earlier trial and training phase of robotic PCI has been done and Inauguration is expected soon. Robotic PCI has the advantage of a high degree of precision and cuts down radiation exposure. Newer bioresorbable stentwith thinner struts (100 microns)developed in India have been introduced, now these stents dissolve in body over 2-3 years leaving the natural artery intact. Older generation BRS had strut thickness of 150 microns. The clinical registry of patients with newer generation BRS and also Robotic PCI is being carried out in PGI.

As a landmark the Centre has achieved least mortality (6.8%) in patients with acute coronary syndrome including cardiogenic shock and comorbidities of all age groups. This has been achieved with strategic and innovative, therapeutics and intervention.

PGI Paediatric Radiology Team Wins National Awards

Prof. MS Sandhu, Head of the Department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging, stated that it is a matter of great pride for the Department and for the Institute that many PGI  Radiology Residents won National Awards at the Annual Meeting of the Indian Society of Paediatric Radiology (ISPR) held at Jaipur on 27th and 28th August 2022.

Dr. Shubham Saini, Junior Resident of the Department of Radiodiagnosis won the coveted 

1st prize at this National Conference, while Dr. Ashish Dua, Senior resident and Dr. Harshith, Junior Resident jointly shared the second position at the recently held Annual Meeting of the Indian Society of Paediatric Radiology (ISPR) at Jaipur. 

Further, Prof. Akshay Kumar Saxena from the Department of Radiodiagnosis at PGI was elected as the President of the ISPR, while Prof. Kushaljit Singh Sodhi and Dr. Anmol Bhatia from the department were elected as Vice President and Treasurer respectively. More than 300 delegates attended this sub speciality Annual Paediatric Radiology Meeting.

MCF and Wakf Board officials arrested caught taking Rs 80000 bribe

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested two officials posted in Municipal Corporation Faridabad and Waqf Board, Bhiwani red-handed while accepting bribes worth Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. Both have been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

                    Sharing the information here today, the spokesperson of the Bureau said that in the first case, SVB team has caught Taxation Clerk of MCF Taxation branch Kanhaiya Lal accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the complainant in lieu of reducing the property tax from Rs 26 lakh to Rs 7 lakh. 

                    After the Taxation Clerk sought bribe, the complainant, a resident of Sector 32 Faridabad filed a complaint with the Vigilance Bureau. The SVB acted promptly and conducted a raid and caught the accused official red-handed while accepting the money from the complainant.

                    The spokesperson further said that in another case Nafish Ahmed, Rent Collector, Waqf Board, Bhiwani has been caught red-handed by the Bureau while accepting bribe of Rs 30,000.

                    Complainant, a resident of Loharu in Bhiwani told that accused Rent Collector was demanding bribe to settle a land issue, which was leased to him by the Board. The accused told that the land leased to him has been converted into commercial and now Rs 4.5 lakh has to be deposited in the Waqf Board for a revise map. Accused had already taken Rs 15,000.

                    After the complaint, the Vigilance team laid a trap and arrested the accused Rent Collector taking a bribe of Rs 30,000.

                    A case has been registered against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Further investigation is underway.

CM ORDERS PROBE INTO DESECRATION AND FIRE INCIDENT IN CHURCH AT TARN TARAN

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday ordered a probe into the desecration and fire incident in a church at village Thakarpura in Tarn Taran district.

“This is a highly condemnable incident and severest of severe action must be taken against the perpetrators of this heinous crime” said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said that he has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to minutely probe into this unpardonable incident. He said that this incident is a handiwork of the forces inimical to the peace, prosperity and progress of the state. Bhagwant Mann said that this unfortunate tragedy is aimed at vitiating the peaceful atmosphere of the state and derailing communal harmony and brotherhood in Punjab. 

However, the Chief Minister said that the state government will not allow any such nefarious attempt to succeed. He further said that the state government will foil all such conspiracies and take strict punitive action against culprits so that it acts as a deterrent for others in future. Bhagwant Mann asserted that the state government is committed to preserving the hard earned peace of the state and no one will be allowed to disturb it at any cost.

Condemning the incident, the Chief Minister unequivocally said that the government will leave no stone unturned to put the perpetrators of this heinous crime behind the bars. Bhagwant Mann said that he has already issued directions to Police for thorough investigation of the case in a prompt and result oriented manner. He categorically said that the state government is committed to making Punjab a peaceful and frontrunner state in the country adding that no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause.

KULDEEP SINGH DHALIWAL INTERVENES TO GET ONE MONTH EXTENSION FOR FARMERS TO GET VERIFICATION THROUGH E-KYC UNDER PRADHAN MANTRI KISAN SAMMAN NIDHI YOJANA

Punjab Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal today participated in a video-conference meeting held by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar regarding Pardhan Mantri Kisan samman Nidhi Yojana. Sharing information about the meeting, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that 44 percent of farmers in the state have been verified through e-KYC to avail benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana. There was a slight delay in verification of farmers through e-KYC, for which the Punjab Minister appealed to the Union Agriculture Minister to give one month’s extension. On this the Union Agriculture Minister asked the states to complete this work by September 30.

          It is worth mentioning that in the year 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan samman Nidhi Yojana was implemented by the central government to give a benefit of 2 thousand rupees every four months to the farmers. Nearly 17.50 lakh farmers of Punjab are registered under this scheme, who are getting the benefit of this scheme. But the central government has ordered all the states to re-review the registered farmers under this scheme so that only the eligible beneficiaries can get the benefit of the scheme.

          After e-KYC 44 percent of the farmers of Punjab have been verified under this scheme. Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal has appealed to the farmers of the state to visit Common Service Centers for e-KYC registration or go to the online portal for registration to avail the benefits of Pardhan Mantri Kisan samman Nidhi Yojana. Besides this, he also issued directions to the officials of the Agriculture Department to ensure that this work is completed in time. He also directed the officials to link land records of farmers under this scheme so that the farmers can get the benefit of this scheme.

UHBVN Lineman held taking Rs 6500 bribe

Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has arrested a lineman of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.6500 in lieu of installation of a new electricity meter.

While giving information here today, a spokesperson of the Bureau said that the arrested lineman in the bribery case has been identified as Attar Singh, who is posted in Sonipat district. The accused lineman has been arrested on the complaint of Rajesh, a resident of village Bhadana in Sonipat.

When the accused demanded money in lieu of installation of a meter, the complainant in his complaint addressed to the bureau informed that he works as a labourer and deposited the prescribed fee online for the installation of an electricity meter in his house located in Housing Board, Sector 23, Sonepat. Despite this, the lineman asked for Rs 7000 to get the electricity meter installed. Later the deal was settled at Rs 6500.

The spokesman said that after verifying the facts, a raid was conducted and accused lineman was caught red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 6500.

A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused and further investigation is being done.

Applications invited for Sports Awards-2022.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has invited applications for Sports Awards-2022.

 The application must be submitted online by September 20. Official notification in this regard has been uploaded on www.yas.nic.in website.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that applications are invited from eligible sportspersons, coaches, entities, and universities for sports awards. This year onwards, applications will be submitted through online mode using dbtyas-sports.gov.in portal. The applicants eligible in accordance with the award guidelines are permitted to self-apply, without the recommendation of the authorities or persons.

He said that Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports. They include Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya Award, Dhyan Chand Award, Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puraskar, and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy. Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award is given for the spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports by a sportsperson over a period of four years.
