Hry CM to attend a national-level function for the redevelopment work of 508 railway stations from Chandigarh Railway Station

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal will attend the national-level foundation laying stone function for the redevelopment work of 508 railway stations across the country to be held virtually at Chandigarh Railway station on August 6, 2023.  This programme to be held under the Amrit Bharat Station will be telecast live at all railway stations/venues across the country. Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson said that at present, work of Rs 20,000 crore is in progress in Haryana. Haryana has got a record allocation of Rs. 2,247 crore in the 2023-24 budget. 34 stations have been planned to be developed as world class railway stations. While in the first phase, 15 railway stations of Haryana state have also been included under this scheme, which will be upgraded/modernized. The list of railway stations to be upgraded include, Ambala City, Bhiwani Junction,  Faridabad, Pataudi Road, Hisar, Bahadurgarh, Jind Junction, Narwana Junction, Narnaul, Kalka, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat, Yamunanagar-Jagadhari. Cabinet Ministers, Sh. Kanwar Pal and Dr. Kamal Gupta will attend the function in Jagadhri and Hisar railway stations respectively. MLAs, Sh. Aseem Goel will attend the function at Ambala City Railway Station, Sh. Rao Dan Singh at Bhiwani Junction, Sh. Narendra Gupta at Faridabad, Sh. Satya Prakash Jrawta at Pataudi Road, Sh. Rajender Singh Joon at Bahadurgarh, Sh. Krishan Lal Middha at Jind Junction, Ram Niwas at Narwana Junction, Sh. Om Prakash at Narnaul, Sh. Pardeep Chaudhary at Kalka, Sh. Chiranjeev Rao at Rewari, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Batra at Rohtak, Sh. Gopal Kanda at Sirsa and Sh. Surender Panwar will attend the function at Sonipat.   

CM interacts with public representatives and eminent citizens of Rohtak Lok Sabha Constituency

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal said that the initiative started by the State Government to have direct interaction with people’s representatives and eminent citizens is boreing fruitful results as these interactions not only bridge the gap between the government and the public but also helps the government to get real-time feedback of the public welfare schemes and services started by them. Meanwhile, continuing the same, today the Chief Minister held an interaction with the public representatives and eminent citizens of Rohtak Lok Sabha Constituency. Top officers from various departments also attended the meeting. During this, detailed discussions were held regarding the schemes related to the nine assembly constituencies and feedback of the citizens and the people’s representatives was also taken. The Chief Minister said that the government is working for the public welfare and is leaving no stone unturned to address all the issues at the grassroot levels. He further shared that he will interact with the people of Sirsa and Kurukshetra Lok Sabha on August 9 and 16, 2023. Meanwhile, during the interaction, BJP leader Shamsher kharkara suggested that such interactions should be held at least once in three months, while some citizens suggested holding of such interactions at the district level and sub-divisional level also so as to know the real time status of the scheme implementations and the problems being faced by the citizens. Notably, so far the Chief Minister has discussed the development works with the eminent citizens and public representatives of eight Lok Sabha constituencies and sought suggestions. On this occasion, MLA, Kosali, Sh. Laxman Singh Yadav, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh.  B.B  Bharti, OSDs to Chief Minister, Sh.  Bhupeshwar Dayal, Sh. Jawahar Yadav, Sh Sudhanshu Gautam, former MLAs, Sh. Stern action will be taken against those making hate speeches: Haryana CM

While describing the Nuh incident as unfortunate, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal appealed   the people not to pay any heed to the rumours and maintain social harmony. Every aspect of the incident is being thoroughly investigated and action will be taken against those found guilty in this matter as per the law.Sh Manohar Lal was addressing a press conference here today.        While replying to a query, the Chief Minister said that maintaining social security and peace is the foremost priority of the State Government. The Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), CID and ADGP, Law and Order have been sent to Nuh and they are constantly monitoring the situation. There is no need to constitute a SIT in this case, he maintained.        In response to another question, the Chief Minister said that it is the collective responsibility of all to maintain social harmony and brotherhood and efforts should be made to resolve this problem by rising above politics. He urged all the political parties to not to politicize the issue and said that if they want to give any suggestion in this matter, the same would be considered.        In reply to yet another question, the Chief Minister said that a close vigil is also being kept on social media and added that strict action would be taken against those found making hate speeches. He said that data of people spreading misleading propaganda on social media is also being collected and action would be taken against them as per the Cyber Law. Apart from this, records of CCTV cameras and the dump data of calls is also being examined. With the help of CCTV cameras, 116 people have been arrested in the incident while 90 people have been detained, he added.         While responding to a query regarding Monu Manesar, the Chief Minister said he is wanted by the Rajasthan Police in a case.         When asked about the situation in Nuh, Sh Manohar Lal said that at present we have 20 companies of central paramilitary forces, out of which 14 have been deployed in Nuh, 3 in Palwal, 2 in Faridabad and 1 in Gurugram. Apart from this, 3 additional companies of Paramilitary Forces have been sought from the Centre.        He said that in order to prevent the re-occurrence of such an incident, a battalion of IRB consisting of around 1000 personnel would be permanently deployed at Nuh so that any untoward incident could be immediately dealt with. Besides, while further widening the scope of the Police Enforcement Bureau, it has been decided to entrust the Bureau with the responsibility of cow protection in Nuh. Hundred police personnel would be dedicatedly deployed for this purpose, he added.        He said that six people have lost their lives in this unfortunate incident, including two Home Guard jawans and four civilians. He said that the families of the deceased would be given a compensation of Rs 57 lakh each as per the policy.        On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Disaster Management and Consolidation Departments, Sh  Rajesh Khullar,  Additional Chief Secretary, Home Sh T.V.S.N.  Prasad and other senior officers were also present.

Haryana Chief Minister launches an expanded version of the e-kshatipurti portal

To mitigate the hardships of citizens of the State due to the recent flood, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today launched an expanded version of the e-kshatipurti portal i.e. https://ekshatipurti.haryana.gov.in This upgraded version of the portal aims to ease the process of submission of applications by the people for their damages and loss and further to bring transparency in the system of damage verification and disbursement of compensation to the affected people in a time-bound manner. Notably, till now the farmers used to upload the details about the damage caused to their crops due to natural calamities. While addressing a press conference held here today after the launch, Sh. Manohar Lal said that this portal shall remain open till August 18, 2023, for the general public to upload their loss claims and immediate compensation will be awarded once the verification is completed.  The portal also has a provision for the villagers to share the details about claims of damage to houses, livestock and crops, while the people living in urban areas can upload the details about the commercial and movable and immovable properties.         “Through this portal, claims can also be made for the damages or loss occurred during the recent incident of violence reported in Nuh district. A special scheme will be formulated for giving compensation for the losses,” said the Chief Minister. He further said that new features have been included in the portal, in view of the recent floods due to which, loss of human life, house, commercial properties and livestock have been reported widely in the State. The general public is requested to make full use of the portal for their benefit, urged the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister said that the compensation will be calculated based on the verification reports and the same will be paid after the due process and as per the prescribed norms. “The affected citizens can register their claims through an application against the damage and loss with respect of house, livestock, crops and commercial movable property, due to flood, on the portal. The general public can upload the details of types and number of livestock lost in the disaster,” he informed. The Chief Minister further informed that in case of house damage, details like the kind of house, i.e., Kaccha or Pucca and its type of damage are required to be provided on this portal. This online process shall reduce the time, ease out the entire process of compensation claims, increase transparency and reduce corrupt practices significantly, said Sh. Manohar Lal.  Divulging the details about the compensation slabs, the Chief Minister said that maximum compensation of Rs. 50 lakh and Rs. 25 lakh respectively will be given for loss of movable and immovable properties caused due to floods in urban areas. In case of the movable property for loss up to Rs 5 lakh, a compensation of 80 percent of the loss amount, i.e. Rs 4 lakh will be given. While for the loss between Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh, 70 percent compensation will be given, for the loss between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh, 60 percent compensation will be given, for the loss between Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh, 40 percent compensation will be given.

Haryana Youth and Professors to Pursue Studies and Training at UK’s Cambridge Regional College

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Haryana Higher Education Department and the United Kingdom’s Cambridge Regional College, here today.With the  signing of this  MoU, now the students of government colleges in Haryana will have the opportunity to study at Cambridge Regional College. Besides, the professors will also be given an opportunity to get training there. Not only this, the students from Cambridge Regional College will also be able to pursue their studies in colleges across Haryana. It is noteworthy that Cambridge Regional College ranks among the top 10 colleges in England.In the presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and Higher Education Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma,  Director, Higher Education, Sh. Rajiv Rattan  and Assistant Principal, Cambridge Regional College, Ms. Moreen Horn signed the MOU.The exchange programme is devised in such a way whereby the faculty and students are expected to spend up to 2 Weeks in the host institution to share, learn and deliver best practices on curriculum development, innovation and technology, quality assurance process, and engagement with industry and employer.        Sh. Manohar Lal, congratulated the Higher Education Department and Cambridge Regional College for signing  the MoU . He said the MoU has been signed for mutual cooperation in the areas of job placement, sports education, English language programs, student exchange summer schools, and teacher training. He emphasized the need to diversify higher education and align it with the New Education Policy. He expressed hope that this joint effort will prepare the youth and faculty of government colleges of Haryana for job placements, self-employment, entrepreneurship, and incubation.        Sh Manohar Lal said that this MoU would open new doors of opportunities for Haryana youth and lead to the elevation of the state’s education to global standards. He hoped  that more students from abroad would come to Haryana to study subjects like Indian knowledge systems, Indian languages, Ayurveda, yoga, arts, music, history, culture, and modern India.Haryana Higher Education Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, also praised the collaboration and said that this step would further  enhance the skills of the state’s youth and professors of government colleges.        Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan said that this programme would be implemented by “Global Training Education Programme” in partnership with Kingsmead. The MOU would further help students studying in colleges of Haryana to update their skills according to industry requirements, facilitating easier employment opportunities.The Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S. Dhesi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Vice Chairman of Haryana State Higher Education Council, Dr. K.C. Haryana Deputy CM welcomes the decision to place online gaming in the highest tax slab of GST

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala has welcomed the decision of the GST Council to place the money levied on online gaming in the highest tax category.        He said that any monetary exchange in online gaming whether in casino or betting or horse racing etc. will now be placed under 28 percent GST slab. With this, the country earns more revenue and illegal tax evasion will be curbed.        Sh. Dushyant Chautala was  interacting with media persons  at Haryana Bhawan in Delhi after attending the GST Council meeting.        The meeting of  GST Council was chaired by Union Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.        The Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, who also holds the portfolio of Excise and Taxation Department  attended the meeting through video conferencing from Haryana Bhawan.        The  Deputy Chief Minister said that efforts were being made for the last three years to bring online gaming in the highest tax slab. He said that now it has been agreed to levy one time 28 percent tax on the basis of face value in online gaming and apart from anything above than such as commission or platform fee etc. will not be taxed again. This suggestion was given by the online gaming companies to avoid multiple tax points. He said  that it was also suggested in the GST Council meeting from Haryana that if crypto currency is used in such trade purchases, then the Law Commission should monitor it and regularize it as well.         Sh Dushyant Chautala said that the council has also agreed to Haryana’s suggestion that in the next meeting of the council, the trading in crypto currency will be completely monitored and regulation will be brought on it. Apart from this, mobile applications (apps) run by foreign companies in India by declaring them as their agents in the country will have to be completely coordinated with the laws of the country to avoid tax evasion. From now on, online gaming money will be regularised and monitored to a great extent. Haryana had earlier also issued notices to three companies, he added.        While  responding to a question regarding the violence that took place in Nuh district on July 31, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Haryana government took serious action on this incident. Companies of Haryana Police and Paramilitary Police Force were deployed. The IRB battalion is permanently stationed there and now the situation is completely under control. A small dharna was organized today at Delhi’s Badarpur border toll plaza, that too was opened on time. Peace teams were activated which played a vital role in restoring peace.        He said that the incident that has happened is being monitored in different ways, more than 40 FIRs have been filed, and more than 90 people have been arrested. He said that action is being taken against those involved in vandalism and spreading violence.No. IPRDH/2023

Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau honours its Heroes who exposed corrupt officials

The Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) organized a felicitation function to recognize and honour individuals who played a proactive role in realizing the state government’s vision of a corruption-free Haryana.The event, held at the ACB headquarters in Panchkula today, was presided over by the Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau, Haryana, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur. During the ceremony, Sh. Kapur presented ‘Samman Patras’ to 17 complainants of Panchkula Range, who exhibited exceptional courage by coming forward and filing complaints against corruption.Similar felicitation functions are also being organized in this week in all other Range offices of the ACB including Ambala, Karnal, Rohtak, Hisar, Gurugram and Faridabad in which a total of 132 complainants will be honoured.In his address, Sh. Kapur hailed the complainants as real heroes for their pivotal role in building an honest society by exposing corrupt officials. He acknowledged that it is not an easy task to come forward and complain, considering the prevalence of corruption in society. The complainants face a lot of pressure during the entire case proceedings, but their actions have been instrumental in serving the nation and promoting corruption-free governance in the state.Interacting with the complainants, Sh. Kapur also assured them that any harassment or pressure they face would be dealt with promptly. He encouraged the complainants to report such instances to the concerned investigating officer or the toll-free number 1800-180-2022, ensuring immediate action from the ACB.He also urged the complainants to inspire others by sharing their experiences and informing at least 10 people that standing against corruption is good for the society. Corruption, he emphasized, is a societal disease that can only be eradicated by raising our collective voice against it.The spokesperson also informed that ACB has already registered a record 100 trap cases and apprehended over 99 corrupt officials, including several Class I and II officers, so far in the year 2023, showcasing their commitment to combat corruption effectively.Sh. Kapur also highlighted the operation of a revolving fund of Rs 1 crore to provide ‘trap money’ for complainants, alleviating their worries about arranging funds from their own pockets during trap cases. Funds are being regularly disbursed from this fund to the needy complainants.Additional Director General of Police, ACB Sh. Ajay Singhal, DIG ACB Headquarters Sh. Pankaj Nain, Superintendent of Police ACB Headquarters Sh. Water testing labs will also be opened at sub-division level: Hry Min

Haryana Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that with a view to ensure that people gets clean and potable drinking water during the rainy season, officers have been directed to do testing and chlorination from time to time.        The Cooperation Minister was redressing the grievances of people here today.         He said that the Public Health Engineering Department has established water testing labs in every district of the State . Now,  efforts are being made to set up water testing labs at the sub-division level also.   He informed that testing kits are also being provided at the village level by the Public Health Department so that the villagers can also check the quality of water.        The Cooperation Minister said that the government has cleared the sugarcane dues of the farmers in the state.  During the current financial year, cooperative sugar mills have procured 490 lakh quintals of sugarcane, for which an amount of Rs. 1,819 crore is payable .  The state government has paid this amount by giving Rs. 441 crore as loan to cooperative sugarmills.  He said that the state government is always working in the interest of the farmers and is emphasizing on making them self-reliant.        Interacting with the media persons, the Cooperation Minister said that the people in Nuh were living in an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood and harmony. He urged the people to maintain peace and brotherhood.

Every village in the state will have a permanent solution for the drainage of dirty water, says CM

 Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering at the Jan Samvad organized at Sangwari village, district Rewari said that his government doesn’t believe in making a false commitment to the people. In the last eight and a half years, he has delivered what he had promised.        “Like others, misleading people by selling false dreams is not my personality. I only promise what can be delivered. I don’t promise what I cannot deliver,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.        The Chief Minister said that be it receiving any grievance in the Jan Samvad or it’s about receiving complaints on the Jan Samvad portal, every day for two hours, he himself studies every complaint. It has come to his notice that most of the complaints were related to the drainage of dirty water in the village and this is the reason that today he has announced that in future, proper drainage of dirty water will be ensured in every village. For this Panchayati Raj Institution and Public Health Engineering Department will work together, said Sh. Manohar Lal.        While gifting a series of development works in village Sangwari during the Jan Samvad, the Chief Minister also announced the construction of PHC and village secretariat in the village. Earlier, Sh. Manohar Lal also visited the Atal Seva Kendra and the exhibition organized by the National Rural Livelihood Mission at the venue.        On the demand of Village Sarpanch Ram Singh, Chief Minister, announced that the work regarding the repair of the Village Secretariat (Knowledge Center), Primary Health Centre, Community Center and Scheduled Caste Chaupal in the village, additional tank in water works for canal water-based drinking water would be done. Apart from this, he further announced that the civil surgeon, public health department and irrigation officers will compile a joint water testing report for tubewell-based water testing. Also, the STPs which are old will be replaced.        He said that in the last eight and a half years, special works have been done to provide drinking water and water for irrigation in southern Haryana and it has been delivered till the last tail.        The Chief Minister while aiming towards ‘Health for All’ said that the scope of Ayushman Bharat Yojana has been increased which has benefited more than 15 lakh additional families.        Meanwhile, Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, for organizing a three-day Jan Samvad in Rewari district. He said that like the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is also serving the common people by following the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Antyodaya.        Kosli MLA, Sh. Deputy CM launches portal of “Fair Price Shop”

While reiterating its commitment towards women empowerment, the Haryana Government has taken a significant step towards giving command of running one-third ration depots to women in the State. The acid attack victims and widows will be given preference in the allotment of ration depots.        Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala launched the portal of “Fair Price Shop” here today. With this, licenses of 3,224 new ration depots will be given in different areas of the State through online portal. The applicant can apply online on this portal by August 7.        While launching the portal, the Deputy Chief Minister said that a provision for 33 percent reservation for women in ration depots has now been implemented. To clear the backlog of women in already operational ration depots, a provision has been made in the allocation of new licenses. He said that out of the total 3,224 ration depots, 2382 ration depots would be allocated to women. This is a huge step towards State Government’s commitment of women empowerment in the State, he added.        Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that the allocation of these new ration depots would be made under the PDS Control Order 2022, which came into effect from August 1, 2022. As per the order, one fair price government shop (Ration Depot) will be established for every 300 beneficiary ration cards. Apart from this, 33 percent reservation for women in ration depots has been introduced, he said adding that this is the first time that the application and selection process for Ration Depots is being conducted through an online portal.        The Deputy Chief Minister said that the applications received on the Antyodaya Saral portal by August 7 would be scrutinised and selected at the district level in the month of August. The list of new depot holders would be released on September 1, 2023. The entire process of allotment of ration depots would be carried out in a transparent manner, added Deputy Chief Minister.        While giving details about the criteria for the  allotment of  Ration Depot, he said that applicant  should be a resident of the respective ward or village and his/her age should be between 21 and 45 years. Besides, the application must possess a qualification of 12th standard.
