Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau honours its Heroes who exposed corrupt officials

The Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) organized a felicitation function to recognize and honour individuals who played a proactive role in realizing the state government’s vision of a corruption-free Haryana.The event, held at the ACB headquarters in Panchkula today, was presided over by the Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau, Haryana, Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur. During the ceremony, Sh. Kapur presented ‘Samman Patras’ to 17 complainants of Panchkula Range, who exhibited exceptional courage by coming forward and filing complaints against corruption.Similar felicitation functions are also being organized in this week in all other Range offices of the ACB including Ambala, Karnal, Rohtak, Hisar, Gurugram and Faridabad in which a total of 132 complainants will be honoured.In his address, Sh. Kapur hailed the complainants as real heroes for their pivotal role in building an honest society by exposing corrupt officials. He acknowledged that it is not an easy task to come forward and complain, considering the prevalence of corruption in society. The complainants face a lot of pressure during the entire case proceedings, but their actions have been instrumental in serving the nation and promoting corruption-free governance in the state.Interacting with the complainants, Sh. Kapur also assured them that any harassment or pressure they face would be dealt with promptly. He encouraged the complainants to report such instances to the concerned investigating officer or the toll-free number 1800-180-2022, ensuring immediate action from the ACB.He also urged the complainants to inspire others by sharing their experiences and informing at least 10 people that standing against corruption is good for the society. Corruption, he emphasized, is a societal disease that can only be eradicated by raising our collective voice against it.The spokesperson also informed that ACB has already registered a record 100 trap cases and apprehended over 99 corrupt officials, including several Class I and II officers, so far in the year 2023, showcasing their commitment to combat corruption effectively.Sh. Kapur also highlighted the operation of a revolving fund of Rs 1 crore to provide ‘trap money’ for complainants, alleviating their worries about arranging funds from their own pockets during trap cases. Funds are being regularly disbursed from this fund to the needy complainants.Additional Director General of Police, ACB Sh. Ajay Singhal, DIG ACB Headquarters Sh. Pankaj Nain, Superintendent of Police ACB Headquarters Sh. Kushal Singh, and other distinguished officers were also present on this occasion.The ACB further urged the people to report any instances of officials from government departments demanding bribes in exchange for official duties. Water testing labs will also be opened at sub-division level: Hry Min

Haryana Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that with a view to ensure that people gets clean and potable drinking water during the rainy season, officers have been directed to do testing and chlorination from time to time.        The Cooperation Minister was redressing the grievances of people here today.         He said that the Public Health Engineering Department has established water testing labs in every district of the State . Now,  efforts are being made to set up water testing labs at the sub-division level also.   He informed that testing kits are also being provided at the village level by the Public Health Department so that the villagers can also check the quality of water.        The Cooperation Minister said that the government has cleared the sugarcane dues of the farmers in the state.  During the current financial year, cooperative sugar mills have procured 490 lakh quintals of sugarcane, for which an amount of Rs. 1,819 crore is payable .  The state government has paid this amount by giving Rs. 441 crore as loan to cooperative sugarmills.  He said that the state government is always working in the interest of the farmers and is emphasizing on making them self-reliant.        Interacting with the media persons, the Cooperation Minister said that the people in Nuh were living in an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood and harmony. He urged the people to maintain peace and brotherhood.

Every village in the state will have a permanent solution for the drainage of dirty water, says CM

 Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the gathering at the Jan Samvad organized at Sangwari village, district Rewari said that his government doesn’t believe in making a false commitment to the people. In the last eight and a half years, he has delivered what he had promised.        “Like others, misleading people by selling false dreams is not my personality. I only promise what can be delivered. I don’t promise what I cannot deliver,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.        The Chief Minister said that be it receiving any grievance in the Jan Samvad or it’s about receiving complaints on the Jan Samvad portal, every day for two hours, he himself studies every complaint. It has come to his notice that most of the complaints were related to the drainage of dirty water in the village and this is the reason that today he has announced that in future, proper drainage of dirty water will be ensured in every village. For this Panchayati Raj Institution and Public Health Engineering Department will work together, said Sh. Manohar Lal.        While gifting a series of development works in village Sangwari during the Jan Samvad, the Chief Minister also announced the construction of PHC and village secretariat in the village. Earlier, Sh. Manohar Lal also visited the Atal Seva Kendra and the exhibition organized by the National Rural Livelihood Mission at the venue.        On the demand of Village Sarpanch Ram Singh, Chief Minister, announced that the work regarding the repair of the Village Secretariat (Knowledge Center), Primary Health Centre, Community Center and Scheduled Caste Chaupal in the village, additional tank in water works for canal water-based drinking water would be done. Apart from this, he further announced that the civil surgeon, public health department and irrigation officers will compile a joint water testing report for tubewell-based water testing. Also, the STPs which are old will be replaced.        He said that in the last eight and a half years, special works have been done to provide drinking water and water for irrigation in southern Haryana and it has been delivered till the last tail.        The Chief Minister while aiming towards ‘Health for All’ said that the scope of Ayushman Bharat Yojana has been increased which has benefited more than 15 lakh additional families.        Meanwhile, Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, for organizing a three-day Jan Samvad in Rewari district. He said that like the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is also serving the common people by following the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Antyodaya.        Kosli MLA, Sh. Laxman Singh Yadav, Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Dr. Arvind Yadav, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Jawahar Yadav, ADGP CID, Sh. Deputy CM launches portal of “Fair Price Shop”

While reiterating its commitment towards women empowerment, the Haryana Government has taken a significant step towards giving command of running one-third ration depots to women in the State. The acid attack victims and widows will be given preference in the allotment of ration depots.        Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Dushyant Chautala launched the portal of “Fair Price Shop” here today. With this, licenses of 3,224 new ration depots will be given in different areas of the State through online portal. The applicant can apply online on this portal by August 7.        While launching the portal, the Deputy Chief Minister said that a provision for 33 percent reservation for women in ration depots has now been implemented. To clear the backlog of women in already operational ration depots, a provision has been made in the allocation of new licenses. He said that out of the total 3,224 ration depots, 2382 ration depots would be allocated to women. This is a huge step towards State Government’s commitment of women empowerment in the State, he added.        Mr. Dushyant Chautala said that the allocation of these new ration depots would be made under the PDS Control Order 2022, which came into effect from August 1, 2022. As per the order, one fair price government shop (Ration Depot) will be established for every 300 beneficiary ration cards. Apart from this, 33 percent reservation for women in ration depots has been introduced, he said adding that this is the first time that the application and selection process for Ration Depots is being conducted through an online portal.        The Deputy Chief Minister said that the applications received on the Antyodaya Saral portal by August 7 would be scrutinised and selected at the district level in the month of August. The list of new depot holders would be released on September 1, 2023. The entire process of allotment of ration depots would be carried out in a transparent manner, added Deputy Chief Minister.        While giving details about the criteria for the  allotment of  Ration Depot, he said that applicant  should be a resident of the respective ward or village and his/her age should be between 21 and 45 years. Besides, the application must possess a qualification of 12th standard. Government implements Haryana Pran Vayu Devta Pension Scheme

 The Haryana Government has implemented Haryana Pran Vayu Devta Pension Scheme, under which pension of Rs. 2500 per year is given on the upkeep and maintenance of trees that are aged 75 years and above.While giving this information, an official spokesman said that  this pension amount will increase proportionally every year, on the lines of old-age pension. Haryana is the first state in the country to implement such a scheme, aimed at conserving and protecting aging trees.He said that if someone has a tree aged 75 years or older at the courtyard of his house , he can apply for the pension by visiting the office of Forest Department  in their concerned district. The application would  be evaluated by a committee, and upon verification of all conditions, the beneficiary will be given  pension.He said that the State Government has been proactive in implementing environment-friendly initiatives, recognizing that trees play a  pivotal  role in providing us oxygen . Most importantly, the  trees aged 75 years or older release large amount of oxygen. He urged the people of the State to actively participate in tree plantation drives and become partners in environmental conservation.    

Home Minister Anil Vij announces award of “Home Minister’s Medal” to SHO Inspector Naresh Kumar of Ambala Cantt Police Station, who seized heroin worth five crores

Haryana Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij has announced to give Home Minister Excellent Investigation Medal to SHO Inspector Naresh Kumar of Ambala Cantt Police Station. This announcement was made today by the Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij and he also patted the police staff for their excellent work on the occasion.  It is noteworthy that Inspector Naresh Kumar had succeeded in arresting a drug smuggler along with one kilogram of heroin in Ambala Cantonment recently. The price of the seized heroin is five crores in the international market. Sh. Vij said that along with the Home Minister’s Medal, Inspector Naresh Kumar will also be given a reward of one lakh rupees and extension in service for six months.  Home Minister Anil Vij said that strict action is being taken against drug peddlers in the entire state and the smuggling racket is being busted. Along with this, bulldozers are also being run on the property made from illegal earnings. It is worth mentioning that Inspector Naresh Kumar had received secret information about drug smuggling in the past, on the basis of which he formed a team late at night, after which the suspected vehicle was stopped and searched. During the search, one kg of heroin was recovered from the vehicle. The smuggler has been identified as Dishant Kumar alias DK, who has been produced in the court and taken on remand. During the investigation has revealed that this heroin was brought from NCR. Home Minister Anil Vij said that 30 awards were announced to honor the excellent work of police personnel. Out of which 10 awards are to be given by the Chief Minister, 10 by the Home Minister and 10 by the Director General of Police.  The winners of Chief Minister’s Gallantry Medal and Home Minister’s Excellent Investigation Medal will receive cash prizes of Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh respectively, certificates and scrolls signed by the Chief Minister and the Home Minister were also given. Medal winning police personnel will get six months extension in service, he added. Apart from this, the personnel awarded with the Director General of Police Uttam Seva Medal will get a certificate and scroll along with a signed certificate of the DGP and Rs 50,000. Various provisions have been made in the SOP including eligibility criteria, selection committee, time limit, withdrawal of medal, details of medal etc.  

Hry CM addresses Jan Samvad at Khandora village, Rewari district

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that in the last 9 years, both the Centre and the State Government not only have brought radical governance reforms to make the lives of the common man easier but have also doubled the speed of development.“Because of these radical changes today people are availing the benefits of government schemes without running from pillar to post,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while addressing the Jan Samvad organized at village Khandora of Bawal assembly constituency in Rewari district on Friday evening.On reaching Khandora village, the Chief Minister received a warm welcome from the villagers as they presented him with a traditional turban and with a bouquet. Sh. Manohar Lal also visited the exhibition organized by self-help groups at the venue.Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government has started a transparent digital system for every work. Referring to the Parivar Pehchan Patra, he said under this ambitious scheme the benefits of all the government welfare schemes and services are being given to the citizens seamlessly.The Chief Minister said that 50 percent of the target being set under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana to provide self-employment opportunities to the youth in the state has also been achieved. During the Samvad programme, the Chief Minister also took feedback about the policies of the government. He shared that during the tenure of the present government, 67 youths have got jobs in Khandora village.A Sarpanch of village Rajgarh raised the issue of filling the ponds made for animals in the village with canal water. Taking cognizance of this, Sh. Manohar Lal immediately directed the officers of the Irrigation and Water Resources Department to prepare a project to provide water through canals to all the villages situated on the border of the state.Referring to the development works in Khandora village, the Chief Minister said that the construction of a Jal Ghar, the pipeline for drainage of dirty water, construction of toilets in the school, the line to connect the canal drain to Johar, construction of bus queue shelter in the village; community hall etc will soon be constructed.Responding to the problem of cracks that have occurred in the houses due to rains in the past days, the Chief Minister said that those villagers who have such problems in their houses should register their objections on the Kshatipoorti portal, and appropriate compensation will be provided by the government.Earlier speaking on this occasion, Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal apprised the Chief Minister about the development works done in the area.  He said that the people here are getting the benefits of every necessary facility.  The development projects are being given a concrete shape in the village with public participation, he said.OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Haryana Home Minister assured the industrialists, he stood shoulder to shoulder with them in this challenging time

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij is working tirelessly to handle the situation arising due to floods in Ambala and providing all support and cooperation to those affected by the floods.Sh. Anil Vij today interacted with the industrialists of Ambala Cantonment Industrial Area and assured them that he stood shoulder to shoulder with them in this challenging time.In response to the industrialists’ demand for additional time in filing the GST return, he assured that the matter would be resolved soon.Earlier, the industrialists informed the Home Minister Sh. Anil Vij that the entire industry area has been affected due to the floods and their documents and other records have been destroyed. They are trying to bring the industry back on track after the water receded. The industrialists apprised the Minister that they are concerned about meeting the deadline for submitting their GST returns as delay in submitting the return could result in penalties. Considering this situation, they should be granted additional time for filing their GST return.During the interaction with the industrialists, Sh Anil Vij directed the officials of the Public Health Engineer Department to carry out work for cleaning the sewerage in the Industrial Area at Ambala Cantonment.  He also directed the Municipal Council to launch a cleanliness drive in the industrial area.He said that in order to resolve the problem of water logging in areas adjacent to river Tangri, the depth of the river bed would be further increased. It may be recalled that Sh Vij has already written a letter to the Chief Minister, urging the construction of a concrete embankment on the other side of the Tangri river.On this occasion, SDM Ambala Cantonment and Administrator Municipal Council Satendra Siwach, DSP Cantt Ashish Chowdhary, President, Industrial Area Ambala Cantonment Dayalchand Gupta and various industrialists were also present. 

Haryana Chief Secretary Initiates Action for Suitable Land Identification for Garbage Disposal of Panchkula and Kalka

Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal has taken a significant stride towards resolving environmental concerns by emphasizing the need for prompt identification of suitable land site for disposal of garbage of Panchkula and Kalka. He directed the officer Municipal Corporation, Panchkula and Municipal Council, Kalka to submit the report within 15 days in this regard.Presiding over a meeting with officers of Environment and Urban Local Bodies departments, the Chief Secretary conducted a comprehensive review of the present waste disposal status in the region. In the meeting, he further directed the officers to actively explore alternative locations for the establishment of a modern waste processing plant, fostering efficient and sustainable waste management.The Chief Secretary directed the officers to set a timeline for the processing of legacy waste and appoint an Executive Engineer on a permanent basis by the Municipal Corporation, Panchkula. He set a timeline of 3 to 4 months for the Executive Engineer to achieve significant progress in waste management.In the meeting, it was apprised that two machines are currently being installed to biologically treat the legacy waste in Sector 23, Panchkula, with the project set to be completed by March 2024. The initiative aims to dispose of 3 lakh MT of waste, with approximately 60 thousand MT treated biologically each month.Regarding the Jhuriwala site, it was disclosed that one machine has already been installed for the biological treatment of waste, which is expected to conclude by December 2023. The site will manage the disposal of approximately 90,000 MT of waste.Mr. Kaushal urged the officers to expedite the selection of an appropriate site for waste dumping and processing.The Chief Secretary reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering a cleaner and greener environment for the citizens of Haryana. He highlighted the significance of responsible waste management and its positive impact on public health and the ecosystem.Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Environment, Mr. Vineet Garg, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, Vikas Gupta, Municipal Commissioner, Panchkula, Mr. Sachin Gupta, and other senior officers were also present during the meeting. 

Haryana has become the first state in the country to come up with a creche policy

 The Haryana Government has notified the Haryana State Creche Policy-2022.The Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda said that this policy has been prepared for the convenience of the working women. A child from 6 months to 6 years will be admitted to the crèche. The crèches will be set up to accommodate the child for 8 to 10 hours. Skilled and trained staff through Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam limited (HKRNL) will be deployed in the crèche. While Rs 15000 will be given to the crèche worker, helper will get Rs 7500.Additional Chief Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, Smt. Sumita Misra said that it will be mandatory for all institutions with strength of more than 50 employees to open crèches. The crèche will have provisions for children’s play materials and toys, nutritious food, regular health check-up and vaccination, sleeping arrangements, education and physical and social-emotional development.Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, has already issued directions to open 500 crèches in the State. So far, 165 crèches have been started in 16 districts of the state. They will be upgraded under the new policy. The Women and Child Development Department has signed an MoU with the Mobile Creche Organisation to set up creches equipped with good quality and modern facilities.The crèche will be open 26 days a month. ID cards of parents and staff will also be made for the safety of children. No child will be left alone in the crèche. Breakfast, lunch and evening snacks will be provided to the children in the crèche, all expenses of which will be borne by the government. One thousand rupees will be spent every month for cleanliness and sanitation. The crèche will also have a sleeping and feeding room for children.The maximum distance from the office to crèche for working women has been fixed at 500 metres. For families with an annual income below one lakh rupees, a charge of Rs. 50 per child will be applicable. For income between one lakh and 1.80 lakh, the charge is Rs. 100, between 1.80 lakh and three lakh, Rs. 250, between three lakh and five lakh, Rs. 350, and for income exceeding five lakh, the charge is Rs. 500 per month.
