Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates first section of the 246 kilometer long expressway from Dausa in Rajasthan

A new chapter has been added in the development of road infrastructure with the inauguration of the Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section in the first phase of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway during the Azadi ka Amrit Kaal.        Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot 246 km stretch, the country’s longest expressway passing through Gurugram, Palwal and Nuh districts of Haryana constructed at a cost of Rs. 12,150 crores.        Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal also participated in the inauguration ceremony of Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot stretch through video conference from Hilalpur toll plaza located on the state border on this Expressway. Union Jal Shakti Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation, Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Gen. Dr. V.K. Singh (Retd) and Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala were also present during the occasion.        The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for inaugurating such a huge infrastructural project which will highly benefit the people of Haryana. He also expressed gratitude to the Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari for this bonanza and stated that the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway will set a new paradigm of progress in the entire country. About 1,380 km long 8 lane expressway from Delhi to Mumbai will cover 129 km through Haryana. Besides connecting Delhi and Mumbai, this expressway project will also provide thrust to the economic development of the country.Aspirational district Nuh will be developed through expressway        The Chief Minister said that Nuh district is an aspirational district of Haryana, where the first phase of this expressway is being inaugurated today. Industries will now look forward to establish their base in Nuh due to the construction of this expressway. He added that this project will create various employment opportunities for the youth of this region.Haryana will play a crucial role in Prime Minister’s plan to make India a $ 5 trillion economy        Sh. Manohar Lal said that the way the road network is being laid across the country, it is remarkable that infrastructure is being developed at a rapid pace. This type of infrastructure will lead to the economic progress of our country and certainly all the states will contribute in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of making India a $5 trillion economy. But Haryana is already ahead in this direction. He said that through all such projects given by the Central Government to Haryana in the past 8 years, the development of the state has manifold. He added that Haryana’s exports will be significantly enhanced by connecting cities which have sea ports and this can only be materialised through this robust highway infrastructure.  Strengthening infrastructure will accelerate development – Deputy Chief Minister        The Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the inauguration of the first part of this historic Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will highly benefit the people of the state. He said that due to the strengthening of infrastructure, the development will accelerate and in the coming years, Gurugram, Nuh and Faridabad will be greatly benefited by the growth of e-commerce business.        He said that the foundation stone of three projects is being laid to strengthen the road network in the state. Work is also being done for the connectivity of Sohna, Nuh, Alwar. The government aims to connect Jewar airport with IGI airport.Traffic congestion will reduce on NH 48 in Cyber City        Prior to the inauguration, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal along with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, Sh. Nitin Gadkari inspected the control room at the Traffic Management Centre set up under the Automated Traffic Management System on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Sohna in Gurugram district today.All sections of the expressway will be operational in the year 2024        This new 1386 Km long expressway from Delhi to Mumbai via Vadodara under Bharatmala Pariyojana has been developed with the aim of cutting travel time by 12 hours. Also, the travel distance will be reduced by 12 percent and the stretch of the road will be reduced from 1,424 km to 1,242 km. All sections of this expressway will be operational in the year 2024. To encourage water conservation, more than 2000 water recharging points have also been made at a distance of 500 meters on the expressway. During the construction of the expressway, 10,000 trees were saved and more than 20 lakh saplings were planted on both sides.Enhance road connectivity from Gurugram to major cities of the countryThis expressway will pass through Haryana including Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra and will connect major cities like Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara and Surat. The Expressway will also serve 93 PM Gati Shakti Economic Nodes, 13 ports, 8 major airports and 8 multi-modal logistics parks. Apart from this, the upcoming greenfield infrastructure such as Jewar Airport, Navi Mumbai Airport and JNPT port will also be benefited. The Expressway will have a catalytic impact on the developmental trajectory of all adjoining regions, thus contributing in a major way to the economic transformation of the country. 

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will change the picture of Haryana: Deputy Chief Minister

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi for the inaugurating Delhi-Mumbai Expressway along with laying the foundation stone of other major projects. It was a historic day for Haryana, he added.

        Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that these projects will not only improve the connectivity of the state with the metropolitan cities, but these projects worth one lakh crore rupees will accelerate the pace of industrial development across the state.

        He said this while interacting with the media persons today after the inauguration programme of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

        The Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the work of Phase-1 of this expressway has been completed. He stated that this will improve the connectivity of NCR with Mumbai and will connect Delhi-Gurugram with three National Parks. Not only this, now the journey from Delhi to Jaipur will also be reduced by two hours, he added.

        He said that due to the strengthening of infrastructure, the development will accelerate and in the coming years, Gurugram, Nuh and Faridabad will be greatly benefited by the growth of e-commerce business, warehousing and other industries. He said that Haryana will now be directly connected to the sea port through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

        Sh. Chautala said that apart from this, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has also laid the foundation stone of Delhi-Jammu Expressway which will also pass through Haryana. He said that the foundation stone of a road project has also been laid to further improve the connectivity of Hansi to Bhiwani. He further said that now NCR region of Haryana will also have smooth connectivity with Jewar Airport.

12 couples reunited in National Lok Adalat

As per schedule of National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and under guidance of Mr. Justice Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat was organized on 11.02.2023 in the leadership of Sh. Harpal Singh, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar. In this Lok Adalat, Criminal Compoundable Offences, NI Act cases under Section-138, Bank Recovery Cases, MACT Cases, Matrimonial Disputes, Labour disputes, Land Acquisition cases, Electricity and Water Bills (Excluding non-compoundable theft cases), Service matters relating to pay and allowances and Retiral benefits, Revenue Cases and other Civil Cases (Rent, Easmentary Rights, injunction Suits, specific performance suits) were taken up.

In this National Lok Adalat, 19 benches were constituted at District Headquarter which were presided over by Sh. Sandeep Kumar Singla, Additional District & Sessions Judge; Sh. Parminder Singh Grewal, Additional District & Sessions Judge; Sh. Avtar Singh Barda, Additional District & Sessions Judge; Sh. Barjinder Pal Singh, Principal Judge, Family Court; Sh. Vineet Kumar Narang, Civil Judge (Senior Division); Ms. Harpreet Kaur, CJM, Ms. Sonali Singh, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division); Sh. Jagjeet Singh, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Sh. Mukesh Kumar Singla, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Sh. Devnoor Singh, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Ms. Vishavjyoti, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Ms. Vaishnavi Sikka, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Sh. K.S. Sullar, Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal; Sh. Kuljit Pal Singh, Chairman, Permanent Lok Adalat (PUS); Sh. Sanjeev Dutt Sharma, President, District Consumer Forum besides four benches Revenue Officers.

At Sub-Division, Kharar, 7 benches presided over by Ms. Geeta Rani, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Ms. Sudipa Kaur, Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.) and Ms. Manzra Dutta, Civil Judge (Jr. Divn), as well as four Revenue Officers and 6 benches at Sub-Division, Derabassi of Sh. Ramesh Kumar, Civil Judge (Junior Division); Ms. Manjot Kaur, Civil Judge (Jr. Divn.) and four benches of Revenue Officers were constituted for National Lok Adalat.  

For the successful organization of this National Lok Adalat, Sh. Harpal Singh, District & Sessions Judge had called various meetings of judicial officers, Presidents and Secretaries of the Bar Associations SAS Nagar, Derabassi and Kharar, officials of other Departments i.e. Banks, Electricity Department, Labour Department, Insurance Companies etc. to sensitize them about the National Lok Adalat. They were also motivated and instructed to identify maximum number of cases which could be taken up in the National Lok Adalat and to make maximum efforts for disposal of the same in the Pre-Lok Adalats and National Lok Adalat.   

Sh. Baljinder Singh Maan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar informed that in this National Lok Adalat, 15478 cases were taken up out of which 9973 cases were disposed of by virtue of compromise and awards of Rs.75,91,93,270/- were passed by the different Lok Adalat benches. He further disclosed that 12 couples who were living separately and litigating against each other were reunited in the National Lok Adalat with the efforts of Sh. Barjinder Pal Singh, Principal Judge, Family Court, SAS Nagar who organized counseling sessions for them by holding pre-lok adalats as a result of which they finally agreed to live together by resolving their all disputes and differences. Sh. Bal Mukand Sharma, a renowned Punjabi comedian also rendered his services in the Lok Adalat bench of Family Court and persuaded many couples to settle their matter amicably to save the institution of marriage and future of their children. The reunited couples were felicitated with one sapling each and were motivated to grow the plant and maintain good relationship.

Amongst reunited couples, a husband and wife who had been living separately for the 11 years and were in litigation, agreed to live together resolving their all disputes which is termed as the best success story of the first National Lok Adalat of the year 2023.

Invaluable contributions of Indian scientists to world in field of science and technology: Chief Minister

Sharing about the invaluable contributions of the Indian scientists to the world, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal called upon the students to move ahead expeditiously and bring laurels to the country by making new inventions in the field of science and technology.

The Chief Minister was addressing as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the two-day science conference on the topic ‘Role of Scientists in Nation Building’ at Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani on Saturday.

During this, the Chief Minister unveiled the life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda at the university campus; built at a cost of about Rs 5.5 lakh. He laid the foundation stone of the third educational building here to be constructed at a cost of Rs 128 crore. The Chief Minister also visited the science exhibition organized by the students and the Srinivasa Ramanujan building here.

On the occasion, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister, Sh. JP Dalal, Bhiwani MLA Ghanshyam Saraf, Bawani Khera MLA, Sh. Bishamber Balmiki and University Vice Chancellor, Prof. RK Mittal were also present.

Addressing the students at the science conference, Sh. Manohar Lal said that science and technology infuse energy into life, which speeds up development in every field. “India has been a pioneer in the field of science and technology since ancient times. Homi Jehangir Bhabha, Jagdish Bose, Ramanujan, Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar are among the stalwarts of Indian golden history in science, who have made invaluable contributions in the field of science. In the modern era, the name of former president, Sh. APJ Abdul Kalam is also leading,” he said.

12 Indian scientists have received Nobel Prize in field of science and technology

The Chief Minister said that 12 Indian scientists have been awarded the Nobel Prize for their contribution in the field of science and technology. CV Raman was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930 for his Raman Effect and biochemist Har Gobind Khorana for controlling protein synthesis.

“During the Covid pandemic, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi had called upon the country’s scientists to develop a vaccine dose, on which the scientists accepted it as an opportunity and made not one; but two vaccines. By making 200 crore vaccine doses, they did the work of giving vaccines not only in India but also to other countries. With this, the scientists of India have proved their talent even in the present times,” he added.

State government increased Vigyan Ratna award prize money to Rs 4 lakh

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, today India is continuously moving forward with a science-based approach. “The Haryana government is making special provisions in the budget regarding innovation. In order to further develop scientific temper among the students, the Vigyan Ratna award prize money was increased from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh,” he said, adding that the science conference organized by Chaudhary Bansi Lal University will also prove to be very effective.

Vice-Chancellor, Chaudhary Bansi Lal University, Prof. RK Mittal said that the university has taken steps to implement the new National Education Policy-2020. “In order to make the students self-independent and self-reliant, the university is motivating them to adopt self-employment by providing them special training through the District Employment Generation Centre,” he said. More than 500 students from about 40 government and recognized schools of the region participated in the science exhibition

UHBVN Forum to hear grievances on February 14

The Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) would take the proceedings to redress the grievances/hear the complaints of the consumers of Panchkula district in the office of Superintending Engineer, Panchkula, SCO-96, First Floor, Sector-5, Panchkula at 11.30am on February 14, 2023 (Tuesday).

A spokesperson said that the forum would take all grievances/complaints of consumers like billing problems, voltage complaints, problems in metering, disconnection and reconnection of power supply, interruptions, failure of power supply, efficiency, safety, reliability, non-compliance of Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission orders etc.

However, the cases of theft and unauthorized use of electricity, offences and penalties as specified under section 126 and section 135 to 139 of Electricity Act, accidents and inquiries as under section 161 of the Act would not be considered by the forum, he added.

PM Modi to formally inaugurate the first stretch of Delhi-Mumbai expressway on February 12

Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the Union Government is strengthening the road network across the country.

In this series, now, Country is all set to receive another big gift as from today onwards Delhi-Mumbai Expressway,s first stretch will be officially opened, which will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi On February 12.

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for gifting this expressway to the country and the State. “Strong road network plays an instrumental role to boost economic growth,” said, Sh. Manohar Lal.

Starting from Gurugram, this expressway will pass through Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. This will not only facilitate easy traffic movement in this area but will also pave the way for setting up new industries in this region, shared the Chief Minister.

Expressway will cover 129 km of Haryana

Notably, this 1380 km long eight-lane expressway will reduce the travel time between two of India’s most important cities, Delhi and Mumbai by half.

It will pass through five states including Haryana (129 km), Rajasthan (373 km), Madhya Pradesh (244 km), Gujarat (426 km) and Maharashtra (171 km).

This expressway will be completely ready by the year 2024. Its work will be completed in 53 stretches. As many as 55 airstrips are being built throughout the expressway having the landing facility for fighter jets. Besides this, there will be 93 stoppage points on this expressway. Trauma centers would be available every 100 kms, having helipads with airlift facilities

India playing active role in social and economic upliftment: President Droupadi Murmu

President Droupadi Murmu said that India, while presiding over the G-20, is playing an active role in social and economic upliftment. With the inclusion of values, India’s identity is being established globally. The country is constantly changing and today with economic prosperity, India is becoming a leader with 5th position in the world.

        The President was addressing the National Convention organized on the theme ‘Women as Foundation of Value Based Society’ at Brahma Kumaris Om Shanti Retreat Centre in Gurugram’s Bahora Kalan on Thursday. The President inaugurated the seminar by lighting the lamp. On her arrival here, the President was jointly welcomed by Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya and Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal. The President also visited the Spiritual Art Gallery and 2D Rangoli at the Om Shanti Retreat Centre premises.

        Addressing the seminar, President Smt. Droupadi Murmu said, “While the government is fulfilling its responsibility for women empowerment in the society, every person should admire it and take inspiration from their working style. Today, India is establishing its dominance globally on the strength of its values.”

        She said that by taking steps towards social development with spiritual thinking, a value-based society is being built. The President appreciated the work being done by the Brahma Kumaris Divine Institute in the interest of the society and the role being played in spreading the message of spiritual thinking to the masses.

President calls upon women to play important role in bringing change in society

        Smt. Droupadi Murmu said that today women are performing better than men in every field. “Be it science, arts, education, engineering or political field, women have raised their flags of success at every level,” she added.

        The President said that mother is the first mentor and teacher for children, who makes them cultured. “Similarly, we have given the status of mother to the earth, but in the modern era; the environment is being harmed, for which everyone needs to be aware. Women can play an important role in this initiative,” she said.

Important role of women in inculcation of moral values: Governor

        Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that today women have an important role in establishing and improving moral values in the society. “In our scriptures, it has been said that where women are respected, gods reside there. Sacrifice, penance, restraint and dedication of mothers and sisters in the society is incomparable,” he added.

        He said that today women need to be educated and self-reliant. “The centre and the state government are making efforts in this direction. As a result of this, today the daughters of the country are holding important positions ranging from teachers, doctors to the army,” said Sh. Dattatraya.

        Referring to India’s first woman Rafale fighter jet pilot Shivangi Singh, the Governor said that her achievement has shown a new path of success to other daughters of India as well. Citing the great culture of the country, he said that the world has learned the lesson of culture and civilization from India only.

Haryana has emerged as an economic, sports powerhouse, a hub of manufacturing activity, says Khattar

Haryana has emerged as an economic and sports powerhouse, a hub of manufacturing activity, and a cynosure of all investing eyes, both domestic and foreign.  Not only this, Haryana has also made rapid strides to occupy a place on the global map.

        This was stated by Haryana Chief Minister while delivering the keynote during a Summit on G-20 Presidency organised by IIM, Rohtak at Gurugram district today. Chairman, National Green Tribunal, Sh. Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel, Member of Parliament, Dr. Satyapal Singh, Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Director, IIM, Rohtak, Dr.  Dheeraj Sharma and other dignitaries also remained present on this occasion.

        Addressing the gathering, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the theme of India’s G-20 presidency is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means “One Earth, One Family, One Future”, outlined by the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi aims to induce inclusive collaboration among developed and emerging nations and recognize the significance and fruitfulness of collective and united action.

        The Chief Minister said that India has the potential to convert challenges into opportunities. G-20 presidency gives India an unprecedented opportunity to prove its credentials as a global force, establish its credibility in resolving global economic issues, and hoist on the world our traditional value system which has survived many onslaughts, and stood the test of time, he added.

“I am sure India’s G-20 Presidency will usher in a new global order marked by amity and brotherhood,” shared Sh. Manohar Lal.

Haryana contributes 3.87 per cent to the country’s GDP

The Chief Minister highlighted that ranking 21st in terms of area and 18th in terms of population; Haryana contributes 3.87 per cent to the country’s GDP and accounts for 4 percent of its exports. It is the 7th largest merchandise exporter in the country, exporting such items as basmati rice, auto and auto components, manmade fibres, carpets, electric machinery etc.

        Furthermore, Haryana occupies the high bench of leading states on the parameters of economic development. The state figures in the top achievers category in the Ease of Doing Business ranking, while in the Innovation Index of NITI Aayog, it is among the top 3 states of the country. We rank 3rd in the Export Preparedness Index,” shared Sh. Manohar Lal. 

We are making dedicated efforts to realize Prime Minister’s $5 trillion economic dream

        The Chief Minister said that more than half of Haryana falls in the National Capital Region which we are developing as a logistics hub. This offers immense possibilities of investment. We are taking forward the vision of the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, to make India a $5 trillion economy, he added.

        He said that emphasis is laid on building quality infrastructure, ensuring ease of doing business, and creating an industry-friendly environment.

Hry Govt issues transfer and posting orders of 3HCS officers

Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting orders of three HCS officers with immediate effect.

        Sh. Mukesh Kumar, awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as Additional Transport Commissioner, Haryana.

        Sh. Sanjiv Kumar, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Pataudi has been given the additional charge of Joint Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited, Gurugram.

        Sh. Gajender Singh, awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as Joint Director (Admn.), Medical College, Nalhar, Nuh.

CM reviews arrangements ahead of Union Home Minister’s visit

Ahead of Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah’s visit in Karnal, Haryana Chief Minister today took a stock of the arrangements at Grain Market, the venue for the visit. During this, he gave necessary directions to the officers concerned.

Notably, Union Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah will be visiting   Karnal on February 14.  DGP, Sh. P.K Aggarwal, ADGP, CID, Sh. Alok Mittal and senior officers of the District Administration also accompanied Sh. Manohar Lal.

After inspecting the Grain Market, the Chief Minister inspected the Agro Mall and took stock of the situation there.

On this occasion, MLA Gharaunda, Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Sh. T.V.S.N Prasad, Chairman, HAFED, Sh. Kailash Bhagat, MD HAFED, Sh. A A.Sreenivas, Commissioner, Karnal Division, Karnal, Dr. Saket Kumar, IGP, Sh. Satendra Kumar Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Anish Yadav, SP, Sh. Ganga Ram Punia was present.

It is pertinent to mention here that the operations of Agro Mall have now been handed over to HAFED, Home Minister, Sh. Amit Shah is likely to inaugurate this mall during his visit to Karnal on February, 14. 

After the formal launch of HAFED Mall, offices and establishments related to the rice business and the export of other types of food grains are likely to operate. This Agro Mall located on Karnal GT Road is established in an area of 15694 square meters. This includes a basement and four floors. Besides this, there are 86 shops on the ground floor of the mall, two floors have been kept open and 46 offices have been built on the top floor.
