Operation Akraman-IV: 1116 arrested, 573 FIRs registered as part of special drive against illegal activities

Under Operation Akraman-IV, a special drive to Clean-Up the crime and criminal elements across the state, Haryana Police has successfully conducted a series of coordinated raids and arrested 1116 accused while lodging 573 FIRs under various sections of IPC, NDPS, Arms and Excise Act.

        Disclosing this here today, Director General of Police (DGP), Sh. P.K. Agrawal informed that the Police Department had been collecting pinpointed intelligence on criminal activities in the State including trafficking of illegal arms, narcotic substances and illicit liquor. 1327 teams comprising 7109 Police personnel under the command of SsP/DCsP conducted coordinated raids starting early morning on 5th February throughout the day till evening on crime and criminals. The element of surprise and simultaneous targeting of criminals at multiple locations led to very encouraging results. A total of 50 illegal firearms and 25 cartridges were seized. Similarly, 301 kg 462 gram ganja, 159.24 gram heroin, over 49 kg poppy husk, 1.155 kg opium, 34.42 gram smack, 83.22 gram sulpha, 3.19 gram charas and 108 prohibited tablets/capsules/injections were also recovered.

        During these raids, the raiding teams have also managed to nab 12 most wanted/wanted criminals and 3 other offenders carrying cash rewards. Police has also arrested 188 proclaimed offenders and 15 bail jumpers. Among the arrested POs and Bail Jumpers, many of them were reported to be evading their arrest for a long time. In addition, 248 other accused involved in various cases were also nabbed during the special drive. Major recoveries from these accused include two gold chains, 28 mobile phones, Rs 3.59 lakh cash and 38 vehicles.

Cracking down on bootleggers, the teams confiscated 10620 bottles of     Indian Made Foreign Liquor, 1752 bottles of country-made liquor, 58 bottles of beer, 741 bottles of licit liquor, 191 bottles of illicit liquor and 632 litres of lahan.

        Police has also recovered cash over Rs 1,91,776 from the accused arrested under Gambling Act.  It is pertinent to note that this special drive was the 4th in the series of  intelligence driven State wide crackdowns under Operation Aakraman to Clean Up the state regarding crime and criminal elements and it reaffirms the steadfast commitment of the Haryana Police Department to the citizens of the State for providing a safe and stable environment.

Haryana Govt has nominated link officers to ensure smooth functioning of National Health Mission works

IEP Chandigarh, February 6

Haryana Government has designated various officers as link officers for smooth functioning of National Health Mission. A letter has been issued in this regard by Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal.

        Giving information in this regard, Sh. Kaushal said that the first link officer to the Managing Director of the National Health Mission will be the Director General, Health Services (Head of the Department) and the Director General, Health Services (Programme) will be the second link officer.

        The Chief Secretary said that to ensure the smooth functioning of the Departments, Boards, Corporations, the officers concerned are out for more than 2 days due to leave, training, tour, being on election duty or transfer, vacancy due to retirement or any other reason, the work will be looked after by the link officers in their absence. Every officer shall inform the link officer before going on leave, training, tour or election duty.

Measles Rubella (MR) catch-up campaign started from today in district Nuh and Palwal to stop the transmission of Measles: Health Minister Anil Vij

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that to stop the transmission of measles, Measles Rubella (MR) catch-up campaign is being carried out in district Nuh and district Palwal (Hathin and Hodal block). In this campaign, one additional dose of MR vaccine will be administered to all eligible children of 9 months to 15 years.        He said that the MR catch-up campaign has been launched in Nuh & Palwal (Hathin & Hodal blocks) today and total 4,72,250 children (406493 children  in district Nuh and 65,757 children in district Palwal- Hathin & Hodal Block) will be provided additional dose of MR during this campaign.        Sh. Vij said that beneficiaries will be covered in schools during the first week of campaign and after that outreach sessions will be conducted for providing additional dose of MR.He said that Campaign has been launched by Deputy Commissioners in both districts. For ensuring 100 percent coverage, campaign is being monitored by state Nodal officers and officers from Partner agencies like WHO/ UNICEF etc.Health Minister said that all line departments like departments of Women and Child development, Panchayati Raj, Education, IMA and IAP have been requested to extend their complete cooperation to successfully implement the campaign in order to achieve the goal of Measles and Rubella elimination.

Energy Minister heard public grievances in Hisar

Haryana Energy Minister, Chaudhary Ranjit Singh said that the government has taken effective steps in power reforms. He said that ‘Bijli Panchayat’ are being organized regularly for on-the-spot redressal of consumer problems. He continued by saying that the officers of the department consider redressing the consumer issues as their primary goal.

        Chaudhary Ranjit Singh was hearing the public grievances today in the ‘Bijli Panchayat’ organized by Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam in Hisar today.

        He said that a large number of people are coming to the ‘Bijli Panchayat’ not only from Hisar but also from many other districts. The Energy Minister said that at present, on an average, 70 percent of public problems are being resolved on the spot.

        While directing that officers should soon ensure pending electricity connections in Dhanis. The Minister said that concrete action will be taken against the officers who are taking laxity towards their work. He further stated that delay in public work will not be tolerated.

        Earlier, he also presided a meeting with the  senior officers of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, in which pending tubewell connection, under construction works of 33 KV sub-station were reviewed in detail. The Energy Minister directed to issue pending tubewell connections soon and to expedite the other construction works. He was apprised that the work of installing approved tubewell connections has been completed up to 80 percent.

Union Budget beneficial for all: Chief Minister says Finance Minister presented ‘Amrit budget’ keeping in mind every section

Reacting to the Union Budget, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi; Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the ‘Amrit budget’ prepared while keeping in mind every section of the society. “The seven priorities of the government towards the country and the society mentioned by the finance minister in the budget will benefit every section. This budget presented in ‘Amrit Kaal’ will prove to be a milestone in the making of modern India,” he added.The Chief Minister said that on the vision of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the general budget will prove fruitful in the direction of making the country; the leading economy of the world. “It is not just a budget, but also a vision document of the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of futuristic India. This is an all-encompassing and all-inclusive budget, giving new energy to the countrymen. It will contribute significantly in writing a new chapter of good governance, poverty alleviation, socio-economic transformation and employment generation,” he asserted.Sh. Manohar Lal said that the resolve to include all sections of the society in the mainstream of development is visible in every aspect of this budget. “This budget is inclusive and futuristic, keeping in mind the empowerment of job professionals, youth, women and farmers. Special focus has been laid on infrastructure development, health, employment generation, housing, social welfare, farmers welfare, higher education, innovation and research; which will also be beneficial for Haryana,” he said.The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the central and state government are taking important steps for the farmers. “The announcement of Indian Institute of Millet for coarse grains, promotion of fisheries and horticulture sector or connecting 1 crore farmers with natural farming are many such decisions which will further strengthen our agriculture system,” he added.He further said that a lot of provisions have been made in the budget to connect New India with technology. Promotion of DIGILocker, systems like e-courts will take the country even further in the era of technology. The Chief Minister said that decisions like making indigenous mobile cheaper and helping micro, small and medium industries affected during the Covid pandemic will strengthen the MSME sector; which will further strengthen the Indian economy. “This budget will prove to be a milestone in achieving the goal of Antyodaya. Taking inspiration from this budget, Haryana will also prepare its budget keeping in mind the 2.5 crore Haryana residents,” he said.

Haryana is ahead among other states in settling claims under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana

Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal directed the officers to create a master plan to unify similar schemes run by the state and central government having common purpose so that no beneficiary would be left out without getting the benefits of public welfare schemes.

Sh. Kaushal informed that Haryana is ahead among the other states in settling the claims under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. He added that patients are getting free medical treatment under this scheme without any hassle in Haryana.

Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said this while presiding over a review meeting with the officers of Home, Health, WCD and Education Department.

Sh. Kaushal also deeply analysed the nuances of School Education Department collaboration with the health department in Nirogi Haryana Health Scheme. He added that collaboration will further give thrust to the coverage of scheme among common people along with ensuring its mass awareness. He further stated that through Nirogi Haryana Health Scheme 26.64 lakhs families and over 1.06 crores individuals are covered under the scheme.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation and Administration of Justice Department, Sh. TVSN Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, School Education Department, Sh. Mahavir Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance and Planning Departments, Sh. Hry CM meets India U-19 captain Shafali Verma’s family at her residence in Rohtak

Haryana  Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal went to meet the family members of the State’s daughter Shafali Verma, India U-19 Captain, at her residence in Rohtak. 

Congratulating them for their daughter’s historic achievement, Sh. Manohar Lal said, the Country and State are proud of Haryana’s daughter and her team for creating history by winning the first-ever ICC trophy.

Speaking to the family members, the Chief Minister said that the Indian women’s cricket team has won the Under-19 World Cup under the leadership of Haryana’s daughter, which is a matter of pride for every Haryanvi. 

Sh. Manohar Lal extended best wishes to the young Indian squad for a bright future.

During this meeting, Shafali’s grandfather, Sh. Sant Lal Verma, and father, Sh. Sanjeev Verma  honoured the Chief Minister with a shawl. 

Notably, the Indian Women’s Under-19  Cricket team, led by Shafali Verma created history and won the World Cup by defeating England. In the final match played on 29 January, the Indian team defeated England by seven wickets. With this India became the first country to win this tournament.

Hry Chief Minister interacts directly with the beneficiaries of Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal interacted directly with the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana through audio conferencing in Sonepat today. During this, the beneficiaries expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for implementing several welfare schemes for the needy and deprived. They stated that no previous government had given them any consideration. Beneficiaries stated that the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana has enabled them to become self – reliant.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the state government is running several schemes for employment, health, education and housing etc. to bring Antyodaya families into the mainstream. He said that for the upliftment of such families, the government has started the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana. About 30,000 households have benefited from it. Through this scheme, the annual income of such families has been taken up to at least Rs. 1.80 lakhs. It is the endeavour of the government to develop the skills of the members of the Antyodaya family so that they are able to start their own business. For this, they have been linked with loan schemes, skill development schemes and employment in private or various departments along with other facilities. Since the inception of this scheme 22,035 people have been provided loans. Along with this, training has been imparted to 1,849 beneficiaries.

He said that 48 schemes of 18 departments have been selected under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana. These have been uploaded on https://parivarutthan.haryana.gov.in portal so that any person can fetch information related to various schemes. Apart from the information about schemes, details of eligibility and benefits have also been given on the portal.

861 Antyodaya Melas were organized

The Chief Minister said that periodic Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Melas/fairs are held to provide information about the benefits of this scheme to more and more families so that the identified families are acquainted with various schemes. 861 Antyodaya fairs have been organized in the state in three phases.

He said that the government has also made arrangements that needy families can get government jobs. For this, a provision has been made to give 5 extra marks to candidates from such families. Not only this, priority is also being given to the youth of needy families in the recruitment of contractual employees through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam.

BPL Ration card are being made online

The Chief Minister said that for the convenience of Antyodaya families, the work of making BPL ration cards on auto mode has now started. New families have been added for coverage under BPL based on the criteria of verified annual income in the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). Online BPL ration cards are being given to those families whose annual income is up to Rs. 1.80 lakhs. New BPL cards were issued to more than 29 lakh families of the state.

Chirayu Haryana scheme launched for Antyodaya families

Sh. Manohar Lal said that Chirayu Yojana has been started to provide free medical facilities to BPL families. Those families whose annual income was less than Rs. 1.20 lakhs were included in Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna. The state government has increased this income limit for BPL to Rs. 1.80 lakhs annually. With this, about 20 lakh new families have now come under the umbrella of this scheme across the state. Now 28,89,036 families are being covered. All of them are getting health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs annually. Their additional expenditure is being borne by the state government.

During this, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Anil Malik, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal and Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang and other officers from Chandigarh joined through video conferencing.

Haryana Chief Minister visits Bal Gram Rai to meet the children

IEP Chandigarh, January 28

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, during his Sonipat visit on Saturday evening, halted at Bal Gram Rai to meet the children. The children were ecstatic to see the Chief Minister in their midst. Bal Gram Rai is both your and my home, hence I have come to see the children of my family, the Chief Minister said this to the children.

The Chief Minister also distributed sweets to the children in Bal Gram. The Chief Minister also inquired about the several amenities offered to the children in Bal Gram Rai. He said that children should get a family-like atmosphere here. He said that whatever demand the children of Bal Gram have will be fulfilled immediately. On this occasion, while talking to the house mother, he learned about all the facilities being made available to the children.

The Chief Minister said that the state government has started the Harihar Yojana for raising orphan children, under which the state government will bear the expenses of the upkeep and education of all such children coming to the Bal Gram and after completing 18 years of age, thereafter, the government will directly cover such youths in ex gratia policy and they will be given Group-C and Group-D jobs. For this, they will not have to appear for any kind of exam.

The Chief Minister said that if such youths do graduation and post-graduation, they will be entitled to Class-I and Class-II jobs as well, but for this they will have to pass a written test. The government will keep all such youths in the category of economically backward classes and will also provide 10 percent reservation in jobs. After the job, their salary will be deposited in the bank account till the marriage of the concerned beneficiary. If he has to continue his further studies or take any other training/coaching, then he will be able to withdraw only up to 20 percent of the money from the account. The beneficiary will get the rest of the money on the occasion of their marriage. After visiting Bal Gram Rai, the Chief Minister met Virendra in village Badkhalsa and Padma Shri awardee Kanwal Singh Chauhan in village Aterna and inquired about their well-being.
