Chandigarh, November 16 – Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said that the ‘Ekta Yatra’, held on the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, stands as a symbol of nation-building and public awareness. With his courage, firm resolve and extraordinary leadership, Sardar Patel united hundreds of princely states and shaped India into a strong nation.
Sh. Shyam Singh Rana said this on Saturday during ‘Ekta Yatra’ held in the Radaur. The yatra began from village Kheri Lakkha Singh and concluded at the Radaur grain market. A large number of youth, women, children and social organisations participated enthusiastically in the march.
He said that Sardar Patel’s ideology teaches us that national unity, integrity and a spirit of service are the true identity of a strong India. Our younger generation should draw inspiration from his life and contribute to the nation’s progress. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, India has today become the world’s fourth largest economy and is rapidly moving towards becoming the third largest.
He added that the vision of a developed India by 2047 should be a collective resolve of every citizen. Appealing to people to promote indigenous products, he said that when we adopt Swadeshi, we strengthen local artisans, women’s groups and the nation’s economy.
