Chandigarh:
The family of international golfer Aadil Bedi has welcomed the filing of a police challan in FIR No. 75 dated 01.09.2023, registered at Police Station Sector 19, Chandigarh under Sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code. The case arises from a detailed complaint submitted by Dr. Harinder Pal Singh Bedi, father of Aadil Bedi, alleging cheating and criminal breach of trust by MTX IT Consulting Service Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of MTX Group Inc., and its senior officers @ankita sinha and @manishkumar.
According to the FIR and the subsequent police investigation report, the complainant alleges that MTX and its representatives induced Aadil Bedi into signing a sponsorship and branding MoU by projecting lucrative financial support, global training opportunities, and PGA‑related benefits, but later failed to honor the promised payments and commitments, while continuing to use Aadil as a brand ambassador and benefiting from his international visibility.
The final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C., filed before the Court of Ms. Navneet kaur, JMIC, Chandigarh, specifically names Mr. Manish Kumar and Ms. Ankita Sinha as accused persons in FIR No. 75, for alleged offenses under Sections 419 and 420 IPC. The investigation notes that Manish Kumar was formally arrested and released on bail by the court, whereas Ankita Sinha, who was an HR officer of MTX at the relevant time, has been shown as an accused who allegedly remained involved in the entire transaction but did not join investigation despite repeated notices.
The complainant family reiterates full faith in the judicial process and requests a speedy and transparent trial so that the role of every individual and entity involved is examined and accountability is fixed in accordance with the law.
The allegations mentioned above are based on the FIR and police investigation report; the matter is sub judice, and the guilt or innocence of the accused will be determined by the competent court. However, in the final report, it was mentioned that the other accused Mr Nobal Das, Nippa Das, and Ankita Sinha, neither cooperated in the investigation nor joined the investigation, despite the Honorable Punjab and Haryana High Court giving directions to all of them to cooperate with the police in the high-profile fraud case registered by the Chandigarh police. @everyone
