Carrying forward the legacy of Chandigarh Titans, GB Chandigarh Legends will represent Chandigarh in TGCL 2026 as defending champions. The new identity marks a fresh chapter for the team, with an ambition to build on its championship success and create a stronger sporting association with the city. The highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the GB Chandigarh Legends identity by Kapil Dev alongside the team leadership, owners and partners.

Speaking at the launch, Kapil Dev said, “It is always special to see a sporting team represent a city and give its people something to believe in and support. Chandigarh has a wonderful sporting culture, and GB Chandigarh Legends is an exciting opportunity to take that spirit onto a bigger stage.”

“I am delighted to be here for the launch of Chandigarh’s team and wish GB Chandigarh Legends the very best for the season. I hope they play with confidence, enjoy their golf and give Chandigarh many more reasons to celebrate,” he added.

Karan Gilhotra, Co-owner, GB Chandigarh Legends, said the new identity reflected the team’s ambition to create a lasting sporting legacy.

“Golf represents skill, discipline, patience and character, and these are the values we want GB Chandigarh Legends to embody. As defending champions, we have a responsibility to uphold the standards set by the team while also looking ahead and creating something bigger,” he said.

“Our vision is to build a team that connects with Chandigarh, inspires young golfers and contributes to a stronger golfing culture. GB Chandigarh Legends is about competing to win, but it is equally about building a legacy that Chandigarh can be proud of,” he added.

Gurinder Bhatti, Chairman, GB Realty Group, said the new identity represented bigger ambitions for Chandigarh in TGCL.

“This is a very proud moment for Chandigarh and everyone associated with the team. GB Chandigarh Legends is not simply a new name; it represents a new chapter and a bigger ambition for Chandigarh in the Trinity Golf Champions League,” he said.

“We enter TGCL 2026 as defending champions, which gives us both tremendous pride and a responsibility to raise the bar. We have a legacy to carry forward, but also an opportunity to create something much bigger for the future,” Bhatti added.

Sandy Lehal, Co-owner, GB Chandigarh Legends and an accomplished golfer, said the team would combine competitive excellence with the spirit of Chandigarh.

“Being part of GB Chandigarh Legends is both an honour and a responsibility. As defending champions, we know the challenge ahead will be even greater. Our aim is to put together a team that competes with confidence and represents Chandigarh with pride,” he said.

A.J. Singh, Promoter, Tynor, said the company was proud to support the team through its sports promotion vertical, Tynor Sports.

“Sport has the power to inspire, connect communities and create a culture of excellence. Through Tynor Sports, we are pleased to support GB Chandigarh Legends and its journey in the Trinity Golf Champions League,” he said.

A Stronger Legacy.” The team’s vision was also captured through the theme “From Chandigarh’s Greens to India’s Fairways”, reflecting its ambition to take the city’s golfing story to a larger national platform.

The launch signals a fresh phase for Chandigarh’s TGCL representation, celebrating past achievements while looking firmly towards the future. With a new identity, strong leadership and committed partners, GB Chandigarh Legends enters TGCL 2026 with a clear objective — to defend its title and take Chandigarh’s golfing legacy to an even bigger stage.
