IEP Chandigarh, October 12
Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, today appointed nodal officers of various departments with a view to expedite the implementation of projects worth more than Rs. 100 crore in the state.
Sh. Kaushal was presiding over the meeting of all the nodal officers for monitoring projects worth more than Rs.100 crore.
Sh. Kaushal said that these nodal officers, designated for projects carried out by each department which are costing more than Rs. 100 crore, will serve as the project’s only liaison officer and be in charge of all communications.
He stated that nodal officers are crucial to the success of any project and they should make strenuous efforts to complete their work before the deadline. He said that every project can be completed at a faster pace with mutual coordination, so if there is more than one nodal officer in any department, they should work in coordination. He also directed the officers to send a planned report in a stipulated time frame.
He also asked the nodal officers to form a WhatsApp group to provide all the information in a timely manner so as to avoid any delay in communication in future and to ensure accountability of all the nodal officers.
In the meeting, Commissioner & Secretary to Government, Haryana, Animal Husbandry & Dairying Department, Sh. Pankaj Yadav and Secretary, Power Department, Sh. Mohammed Shayin, besides other senior officers from Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Electricity Department, Public Cooperation, Town and Country Planning, Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research, Transport, Technical Education, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Industry and Commerce, Sports and Youth Affairs, Animal Husbandry and Dairying were present.
