Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that inspired by the Government of India’s ambitious MSE cluster scheme, Haryana has formulated the State Mini Cluster Development Programme. Under this programme, a 90 percent grant-in-aid is provided for setting up Common Facility Centres.At present, the process of setting up 43 mini clusters is going on in Haryana, out of which 25 clusters have started. This scheme was also appreciated by the Government of India, said Sh. Manohar Lal while interacting directly with the Micro Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs during a virtual Samvad programme held today.The entrepreneurs thanked the Chief Minister for the pro-MSME schemes being run by the state government to promote industries.Small-scale industries play a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s economyThe Chief Minister said that small-scale industries form the basis of strengthening the country’s economy and in today’s time MSMEs are playing an important role in realizing the Prime Minister’s self-reliant India dream.He said that the state government is giving importance to big industries as well as is focussed on promoting Micro, Small, and Medium Industries. MSMEs need less investment capital but provide ample employment to more people, said Sh. Manohar Lal.Small contractors involved in development works of Panchayati Raj Institutions interacted with the Chief Minister during the Samvad programme. The contractors thanked the Chief Minister and said that the new contract system introduced by the state government in the PRIs is commendable. They said that this new system has brought transparency in the execution of works and has also ensured quick maintenance of projects during the defect liability period.The Chief Minister said that contractors involved in small projects can play an important role in the execution of development works in villages.MSMEs contribute 30 percent in State’s GST collectionExpressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, the small GST paying entrepreneurs said that the GST system implemented on the concept of one nation-one tax is very effective in the country. The implementation of GST system under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has brought a big change in the lives of entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can sell their goods anywhere in the country without any restrictions. Due to this their income is also increasing, said the enterpenures. The entrepreneurs also thanked the government for simplifying the GST process. Simplification of GST process has not only benefited them, but the revenue of the government is also increasing.The Chief Minister said that today Haryana’s share in the total GST collection of the country is 6 percent. This achievement has been made only with the cooperation of MSMEs. MSMEs make a pivotal contribution of 30 percent share in State’s GST collection, said, Sh. Manohar Lal.”The State Government has formulated the Haryana Agriculture and Food Processing Policy, 2018 with the objective to develop strong infrastructure at the farm level and establish technologically advanced food processing units in the state.He said that the state government has improved power availability and connectivity to promote industries. A strong network of roads and railways is spread across Haryana. Today 94 percent of the rural areas of Haryana are getting round-the-clock electricity. Such infrastructure provides ample opportunities for the development of MSMEs, said Sh. Manohar Lal.Sh. Manohar Lal said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, this year is being celebrated globally as the Millets year. In Haryana too, coarse cereals are produced in many areas, especially in southern Haryana, he shared.The Chief Minister called upon the entrepreneurs to do value addition by processing coarse cereals to promote the consumption of millets. This will not only give a boost to industries but farmers will also get remunerative prices for growing millet, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
