On the eve of Chartered Accountants (CA) Day being observed across the country on July 1, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal released a CAs Directory at his residence Sant Kabir Kutir here today.
A delegation of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Chandigarh Branch led by Chairman CA, Sh Vishal Puri and Member, Sh Sanjay Tandon met the Chief Minister and apprised him about the functioning of their apex body ICAI and details about the profession.
ICAI is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament which came into existence on July 1, 1949 to regulate the CA profession across the country.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister called upon the CA community to continue contributing in the development of the country with their utter commitment and an ethical approach. He said that the contribution of CA professionals in further strengthening the country’s economy is not only commendable but vital as well.
With a view to provide more facilities to the students studying Chartered Accountancy from every nook and corner of the North India and practicing CAs at CA Bhawan, Sector -35 Chandigarh, the delegation demanded that a place should be allotted for the Chartered Accountants Centre of Excellence in Panchkula, so that new dimensions can be established in this profession. While sympathetically considering their demand, the Chief Minister assured that concrete steps would soon be taken to meet their demands.
Those present on the occasion include Vice President CA Abhishek Singh Chauhan, Secretary CA Pramod Vats, Immediate Past Chairman CA Anil Kakkar, Treasurer Vincy Chadha, Chairman NICASA CA Rachit Goyal and GST Committee’s Chairman Sahil Garg.
