Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Manohar Lal said that the work for the construction of freight corridor from Kokata to Yamunanagar will be completed soon by the Central Government. After the completion of this corridor, Yamunanagar will be directly connected with Kolkata from a commercial point of view. The traders of Yamuna Nagar as well as the entire state will be benefited by this corridor, he added.The Chief Minister was interacting with the people after redressing their grievances under Jan Savad Programme held at Government School in village Alahar in Yamunanagar district today.Earlier, Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal inaugurated the village secretariat (Gram Sachivalya) constructed in village Alahar at a cost of Rs. 30 lakh. He also distributed tricycles and hearing aids to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Red Cross Society. On this occasion, the Chief Minister interacted with the women of Self-Help Groups and also inquired about their products.Interacting with the villagers, the Chief Minister said that the Government has a plan to lay a new railway line from Karnal to Yamunanagar. This scheme will be implemented soon through the Ministry of Railways. The people of village Alahar will also benefit from this new railway line, he added. He said that the State Government has so far spent about Rs 7 crore on the development of village Alahar. He said that as per the population of the village, the State Government will allocate Rs 80 lakh every year to the Panchayati Raj Department for development works. While assuring to fulfil all the demands of the villagers, the Chief Minister said that the Yamuna Canal Road will be paved and the chaupal of backward classes and the road up to Kartarpur will be repaired. The Chief Minister said that 121 residents of this village have got benefits of about Rs 20 lakh under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under this, Dalip availed the benefit of Rs 2. 71 lakhs for the treatment of heart disease. Apart from this, Naresh, Jasbir, Rajkumar, Satish and Harbans Kaur have also got the benefit of this scheme. During the Jan Samvad Programme, on the directions of the Chief Minister, pension of five beneficiaries namely Aagyapal, Ramkumar, Kailasho Devi, Raj Bala and Bimla Devi of the village was prepared on the spot. Besides, they were also given pension certificates.The Chief Minister said that during the tenure of the present State Government , 1.10 lakh government jobs have so far been given to the youth in the State purely on merit basis. In village Alahar also, 25 youths have got Government jobs.MP Nayab Singh Saini and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
