IEP CHANDIGARH JULY 17, 2022

Haryana is geared up to become the first State in the country to hoist tricolour at every house, Government, private, industrial and educational buildings. For three consecutive days every corner of the State of Haryana will be decorated with a tricolour to proudly remember the glorious history of India, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign being celebrated countrywide from  August 13 to August 15, 2022.

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while presiding over the state-level meeting regarding this campaign with the Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioners and Vice Chancellors held through video conferencing here today directed them to ensure the supply of tricolour till the last mile.

“Har Ghar Tiranga’ is certainly a unique campaign, as it envisages  Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s dream of invoking the feeling of patriotism among the citizens along with promoting awareness about the national flag. Therefore Haryana has to play a pivotal role in this campaign”, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

While calling upon the NGOs and social organisations to ensure their active participation, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Har Ghar Tiranga holds special importance for every citizen, hence maximum participation is expected.

Adequate availability of tricolour should be ensured for the NGOs, citizens and other social organisations directed Sh. Manohar Lal.

He further directed the officers concerned to launch extensive and aggressive IEC activities across the state for mass awareness.

“We have not got the freedom over the night,  we have earned it after several supreme sacrifices. Therefore in this campaign, maximum participation should be ensured and the campaign should not be limited to the hoisting of tricolours at homes only, rather than every possible effort should be made to paste the tricolours on vehicles.  This campaign should be celebrated as a national festival,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Ensure maximum participation in this  campaign with the ‘Nation First, Always First’ mantra’

Calling upon the people of the state, especially the Youth to enthusiastically participate in this campaign, Sh. Manohar Lal said that every Haryanvi has to move forward with the ‘Nation First, Always First’ mantra’.

He further said that this campaign will certainly prove a pivotal step in giving out a strong message to those who try to spread anti-national activities.

Let us participate in this national festival while rising above political idiologies

The Chief Minister said that every political leader should ensure thier participation in this national festival. While rising above the political ideologies every political party should participate in this campaign.

He directed the Deputy Commissioners to hold meetings with all political parties, public representatives, Zila Parishads etc. to ensure public participation in this campaign.

He said that during this entire campaign it is the utmost duty of everyone to respect the tricolour.

The Chief Minister further directed that a nodal team of various departments should also be constituted. Political institutions should also be involved in the house-to-house distribution of the Tricolour.

Create a buzz among the masses with marathon or rallies

The Chief Minister said that in a bid to create a buzz in the masses, various activities like marathon and cycle rallies should be planned a week ahead of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga campaign’.

He said no stone should be left unturned to ensure that this campaign should emerge as a ‘Jan Andolan’.

“Every Deputy Commissioner should set a target of how many flags are needed in their respective districts, along with ensuring smooth house-to-house supply,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.

Dedicated portal to be developed for this campaign

A portal will be developed and all the information related to this campaign will be uploaded on this portal. The government offices and NGOs will also upload their requirements about the flags. They can raise their concern about the availability of flags.  House to house team should also be constituted for distribution and hoisting of flags at every home across Haryana.

Make this a National Festival
