Haryana Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal today launched the portal for implementation of the Haryana Urban Built Plan Reform Policy for those seeking houses under the ‘Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana.’ This initiative will offer plots at concessional rates to eligible individuals, furthering the government’s commitment to affordable housing for all.
To secure a plot under the scheme, the portal will be live starting from today that is February 1, 2024. Eligible applicants can register on the Housing for All website to initiate the process of availing of benefits under the ‘Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana’. During the initial phase, 10,542 plots will be allocated to eligible individuals across 14 cities. This allocation process is expected to conclude within approximately 15 days.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to prioritize the allocation of plots to applicants from nomadic castes, widows, and Scheduled Castes during the allotment process. Additionally, he urged swift action to ensure that applicants who have applied for flats receive their allocations promptly.
Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal in view of the positive impact of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ initiated by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi with the objective of providing a house to every family, ‘Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana’ was launched by the Haryana Government in September 2023. This initiative targets urban families without homes and with an annual income of less than Rs 1.80 lakh. Approximately 2.90 lakh families have applied for housing under this scheme, with about 1.51 lakh applying for plots and 1.38 lakh for flats.

During the application process on the ‘Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana’ Registration Portal, applicants will be required to submit a booking amount of Rs 10,000. In the initial phase of plot booking on the portal, applications can be submitted for 14 cities, namely Charkhi Dadri, Gohana, Sirsa, Jhajjar, Fatehabad, Jagadhri, Safidon, Pinjore, Rohtak, Rewari, Mahendragarh, Karnal, Palwal, and Julana.
