Haryana Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Sh. JP Dalal said that the National Research Centre on Equines, Hisar has developed a vaccine for the prevention of lumpy skin disease in animals, which will soon be made available to the cattle rearers of the state.
Sh. Dalal gave this information during a review meeting with the officers of Animal Husbandry Department today.
Sh. Dalal said that he has spoken to Union Animal Husbandry and Dairying Minister, Sh. Parshottam Rupala regarding the vaccine and he assured that this vaccine will be made available in Haryana at the earliest so that the spread of this disease can be stopped.
Create awareness among cattle rearers by visiting the field
Giving directions to the officers, the Minister said that field visits should be made to create awareness among cattle rearers regarding the measures to be taken for the prevention of lumpy skin disease.
He also directed the officials of Haryana Veterinary Vaccine Institute, Hisar to cooperate with the National Research Centre on Equines, Hisar to make ample vaccines available to the cattle rearers so that the disease can be eradicated.
