The 9th Annual Conference of the Society for Emergency Radiology (SER) India was held on October 7-8, 2022 at Vellore. Emergency Radiology is a nascent subspecialty of Radiology and is an integral part of the Emergency section of any hospital. It deals with diagnostic and interventional aspects of both post-trauma patients and acutely ill critical patients said Prof. MS Sandhu, Head, the Department of Radiodiagnosis.
Numerous faculty actively participated in the annual conference by contributing to the scientific programme in the form of lectures, debates and discussions. The department won several accolades during the meeting. Prof. Naveen Kalra was elected for the post of General Secretary of the Society and Dr Chirag K Ahuja was elected for the post of Joint Secretary of the Society. Dr Mukul Morya, the junior resident in the department, won the best paper award for his thesis work, guided by Dr Chirag K Ahuja, on MRI-based parameters in Optic Neuropathy.
