Haryana Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal today launched the Tirth Mitra Portal at the 48 Kos Tirth Sammelan organized during the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav (IGM)-2022 on Sunday. On this occasion, Sh. Manohar Lal called upon the people of the state that they should come forward for the development and ensuring the preservation of our pilgrimages. “Whether it is a village or a city, where pilgrimages are established, a committee of local people should be formed and a plan for the development of pilgrimages should also be prepared,” said the Chief Minister. Sh. Manohar Lal said that the Haryana government is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the development of pilgrimages. Along with this, the local people should also contribute to this endeavour of the State government. He said that priority should be given to all the works being done for the development of pilgrimages. The Chief Minister said that all the pilgrimages of 48 Kos will be developed. Developing these pilgrimages also increases employment opportunities along with increasing the income of local people.Next year IGM will be of 8 days, CMThe Chief Minister said that from next year the duration of IGM will be of 8 days instead of 6 days. This holy festival will start on Sunday and end on Sunday itself. He also suggested that all pilgrimage centres should be given one stall each in the IGM so that they can display the information and story related to their pilgrimages through these stalls. Development of 48 Kos pilgrimages is being doneSh. Manohar Lal said that the pilgrimages of 48 Kos are being continuously developed. In 2017-18, an amount of Rs 36 crore was announced for the execution of 27 works in these areas. Besides this, so far, an amount of Rs. 23 crores has been spent on development. “Out of 27 works, 15 works have been completed, work on 6 is still going on, and work on 6 is yet to be done. The government has planned to work on 80 pilgrimages. Along with this, Rs 10 crore has been announced for the development of Pehowa Tirth,” shared Sh. Manohar Lal. The Chief Minister said that Virat Swaroop of Lord Krishna has been set up at Jyotisar for Rs. 13 crores. The light and sound show has also been started here. Along with this, a museum is being built in Jyotisar at a cost of Rs 200 crore. Sh. Manohar Lal said that Kurukshetra is a proud place not only in the country but in the world. Gio Geeta Sansthan has been established here. Tirupati Balaji Temple is built. Akshardham Temple, ISKCON Temple, and Gyan Mandir are being built. Continuous development is taking place, the government is always ensuring its cooperation in these works, he added. Gita belongs to every one of us,Gita Manishi Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj Earlier speaking on the occasion, Gita Manishi Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj said that the teachings of Gita belong to everyone. It was on this day that Lord Krishna delivered the immortal message of Gita from the land of Kurukshetra, he added. He said that Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is renovating shrines . Due to this, people will come not only from India but also from abroad in this We highly respect and follow the message taught by Lord Shri Krishna, Sh. Yadu Nath Paudel Speaking on this occasion, Counsellor (Cultural) Nepal, Sh. Yadu Nath Paudel paid obeisance at the holy land of Dharmakshetra-Kurukshetra. He said that as many times as one reads Holy Gita, many secrets of life are revealed. The knowledge of the Gita should reach the masses. Nepal and India have unbreakable relations. About 82 percent of the people in Nepal are Sanatani Hindus. The message sent by the Nepal Prime Minister, Sh. Sher Bahadur Deuba to the Chief Minister regarding the International Gita Mahotsav-2022 was also read out in the programme. Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, S. Sandeep Singh, and Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Sh. Somnath Sachdeva also remained present on this occasion.
