After inaugurating the Ayurveda festival at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Sector 46, Chandigarh, Khattar said that Shri Krishna AYUSH University will be built on 100 acres of land in Kurukshetra. Ayurveda is the oldest medical system and has made possible the treatment of incurable diseases. Early treatment is possible in the Allopathy medical system but it has many side effects whereas in Ayurveda, the patient gets better treatment, he added.
Khattar said that everyone has the right to education and health and keeping this in mind, the state government has made efforts to expand education and make medical facilities easily available to all. The Chief Minister said that CHIRAYU Haryana Yojana has been implemented to provide medical facilities to every citizen. “It is the endeavour of the government to ensure the health check-up of all the citizens and for this the Nirogi Haryana Yojana has been started. In the first phase, free medical check-up of Antyodaya families will be done,” he asserted.
Programme spokesperson Dr Geeta Joshi said that Ayurveda Parv is being organized at Dhanwantri Ayurveda College, Sector 46, Chandigarh, in which many eminent Ayurvedacharya participated. Free checkup and distribution of medicines will be done by Ayurvedacharya for three consecutive days from Monday. There will be free entry for the general public on all three days of Ayurveda camp. General Secretary, Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Vaidya Naresh Mittal explained in detail about the achievements of the college.
