Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the state government is completely prepared to deal with Covid. Sh. Vij was answering questions asked by media persons in Rohtak/Gohana today.
He said that RT-PCR labs have been set up in every district of Haryana and perhaps Haryana will be the first state in the country to have an RT-PCR lab in every district. He said that we have also installed machines for genome sequencing in Haryana so that the sample can be checked within the state earlier it use to to take so much time. He said that genome sequencing of each Covid case is now being done to find out its mutation.
He said that people should wear masks in crowded areas where gathering is more than 100 people. He further informed that health workers were already given guidelines to wear masks. He said that mock drills will also be done on 10th April and 11th April.
He said that this variant is very mild and there is nothing to worry about. He informed that out of about 750 positive patients, only 25 are in the hospital and the rest are receiving treatment at home. He said that whatever services were there during the time of Covid phase have been reactivated. He said that people themselves have to be cautious and follow the guidelines set by the government.
In response to a question regarding crime, Sh. Vij said that ever since Dial 112 started, there has been a significant reduction in crime. He said that the police vehicle reaches the spot in 8 minutes which is unprecedented
