Haryana School Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, today announced to consider private school teachers for state awards and to waive off the processing charge from the students’ desires to change schools to seek admission in Government school to classes 10th or 12th.He informed that at present, Rs. 3000/- was charged from the private school students and Rs. 1000/- from students who are shifting from government school to another government school. Students falling under the other seven categories— shifting of family, shifting to or from hostels, readmission due to not appearing for an exam or because of failure or compartment, medical condition or in order to attain a better quality of education will now not have to pay any fee.Sh. Kanwar Pal was chairing a meeting with officers of the Education Department here today. The Minister said that this decision has been taken in the larger interest of students and parents.While reviewing the achievements of Super 100 and Buniyad Programme, he stressed the need to launch an awareness campaign at the grass root level. For this, “we can use social media, advertisements in print and electronic media and organize counseling camps for students and their parents.”He further said that the State Government is planning to increase the centres of Super 100 and Buniyad Programme. He applauded the commendable performance of the Haryana Super-100 Batch 2021-23 in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main) exam. The results exceeded the expectation, with 89 students from the Super-100 programme batch 2021-23 qualified JEE Advanced.To generate awareness about the preservation and conserve the environment, he said that dramas will be staged in schools of all districts. He informed that the Environment and Forest Department will jointly organize the programme. Prizes will be given to the 10 best plays in each district by the Government.He informed that new schools will be built in urban areas of Haryana in view of the increasing population. He added that the need is felt to increase the number of schools. The government will soon conduct a survey to map the requirement.On the matter of dual desk and Civil work, Sh. Kanwar Pal directed the officers to expedite all the matters and clear all the balance payments/release of funds for Dual Desk and Civil Works immediately.He said that there are a total of 68 such schools in the state which are to be repaired from scratch. The work on 32 has been completed, the work on the rest will begin soon.The meeting was attended by Chairman, Board of School Education Haryana, Sh. VP Yadav, Director Secondary Education, Haryana Dr. Anshaj Singh, Director Elementary Education, Haryana Sh. Ashok Kumar Garg, Elementary Education, and Special Secretary, School Education Department, Smt. Amrita Singh besides other senior officers were present.
