The Standing Committee, headed by the Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal, which monitors the monthly progress of infrastructure projects worth over Rs. 100 crore, has ensured the timely completion of 13 projects costing Rs. 2,099.86 Crores across eight departments, namely PWD B&R, Public Health Engineering, Irrigation and Water Resources, Technical Education, Urban Local Bodies, Transport, Energy, and Home Departments so far.To ensure the quality and efficiency of project reviews, regular capacity-building sessions were conducted for departments, accompanied by the appointment of Department Nodal Officers. “In line with our commitment to enhance monitoring mechanisms, we are now embarking on the implementation of a dedicated Haryana Project Monitoring System (HPMS) portal. This portal aims to strengthen the monitoring process by providing interactive dashboards and facilitating seamless coordination,” said the Chief Secretary during the meeting.In the meeting, discussions revolved around the HPMS portal, abringing together Additional Chief Secretaries and Nodal Officers responsible for monitoring the operational review of state infrastructure projects. The Chief Secretary Mr. Kaushal, presiding over the meeting, emphasized the importance of timely updates. Officers will be required to upload project progress within the first week of every month. Currently, the standing committee is overseeing the progress of over 90 projects across 14 departments, with a total cost exceeding Rs. 57,798.84 Crores was revealed in the meeting.Mr. Kaushal said that we remain committed to deliver quality infrastructure projects and will continue to leverage technology to enhance our monitoring and evaluation processes. The HPMS portal represents a significant step forward in our efforts to promote accountability and timely completion of projects, ultimately benefiting the people of Haryana.Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Dr. G. Anupama, Additional Chief Secretary, Town and Country Planning, Mr. Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary to Government, Haryana, Urban Local Bodies, Mr. Vikas Gupta and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
