Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the problem of chemically contaminated dirty water of industrial units coming from Bhiwadi in Rajasthan to Dharuhera in Haryana will be resolved soon. “I have personally spoken to the Chief Minister of Rajasthan about this and he has assured us of taking appropriate steps. But we have asked them to give the assurance in writing so that there is no laxity at any level,” said Sh. Manohar Lal. He said that for a permanent solution to this problem, a meeting will be organized with the top officers of the concerned departments on Sunday and the officers from Rajasthan will also be called in this meeting. “We are ready to take this matter to the Supreme Court to get a permanent solution to this problem,” said Sh. Manohar Lal who had today visited Bhiwadi and Dharuhera cities to take the stock of the dirty water before attending the Jan Samvad Programme at Dharuhera in district Rewari on Sunday. He said that the NGT has also imposed a fine of Rs 45 crore on Rajasthan for releasing polluted water from Bhiwadi towards Dharuhera, but Rajasthan has approached the court and got stay on the matter. Now the Haryana government will go to the Supreme Court to vacate the stay. The people of Dharuhera will not be left to suffer. Rajasthan will be given 7 days notice for appropriate action in this matter, said the Chief Minister. While addressing the Jan Samvad at Dharuhera, the Chief Minister said that the government is improving the lives of the people by ensuring the reach of benefits of public welfare schemes to the grassroot levels. In Dharuhera, 6983 Ayushman cards have been made, out of which 69 people have availed the benefits, on which the government has spent an amount of Rs. 22.5 lakh. He said that the government is giving jobs on merit without any discrimination and so far 67 people have got jobs in Dharuhera during the tenure of the present government. The Chief Minister further shared that under the Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana, 172 people of Dharuhera, whose income is less than Rs. 1 lakh, have been given loans and provided employment opportunities. Similarly, financial help is being provided to rural women through Self Help Groups, due to which the standard of living of the women is rising, he added. While fulfilling the demand raised by the people of Dharuhera, the Chief Minister announced that a new bus stand would be constructed by July 2024. He informed that the present state government has got development works worth Rs 36.76 crore done in Dharuhera. Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Dr. Arvind Yadav, and other dignitaries also remained present on this occasion.
