Haryana Cooperation and Public Health Engineering Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal said that with a view to ensure that people gets clean and potable drinking water during the rainy season, officers have been directed to do testing and chlorination from time to time. The Cooperation Minister was redressing the grievances of people here today. He said that the Public Health Engineering Department has established water testing labs in every district of the State . Now, efforts are being made to set up water testing labs at the sub-division level also. He informed that testing kits are also being provided at the village level by the Public Health Department so that the villagers can also check the quality of water. The Cooperation Minister said that the government has cleared the sugarcane dues of the farmers in the state. During the current financial year, cooperative sugar mills have procured 490 lakh quintals of sugarcane, for which an amount of Rs. 1,819 crore is payable . The state government has paid this amount by giving Rs. 441 crore as loan to cooperative sugarmills. He said that the state government is always working in the interest of the farmers and is emphasizing on making them self-reliant. Interacting with the media persons, the Cooperation Minister said that the people in Nuh were living in an atmosphere of mutual brotherhood and harmony. He urged the people to maintain peace and brotherhood.
