A grand Tiranga Yatra was taken out in Karnal city on Monday. Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal led the yatra.
Before starting the yatra, the Chief Minister said, “We got our freedom after a lot of sacrifices, we are determined to uphold and preserve this hard-won freedom”, Chief Minister.
He also conveyed his warm regards and well wishes to the residents of Karnal and the entire state on the occasion of Independence Day and emphasized on the importance of working towards the country’s progress and dedicating our lives to its service.
The Chief Minister said that India achieved independence on August, 15 1947 and to celebrate this, Prime, Sh. Minister Narendra Modi had given a call to organize a Tiranga Yatra organized nationwide and the Tiranga Yatra being organized in Karnal is part of this call. Today marks the eve of Independence Day, a day when we also remember the tragic Partition. The British colonial powers partitioned our land, causing immense suffering for countless individuals, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
A large number of people reached the Ramlila Ground for the Tiranga Yatra carrying tricolour in their hands and gave a warm welcome to the Chief Minister who was leading the Tiranga Yatra. The Tiranga Yatra started from Ramlila Ground. After this it reached Sabzi Mandi Chowk via Maharishi Valmiki Chowk in front of Karan Gate. During this people showered flowers on the yatra. After this, the yatra proceeded towards Nehru Place and then the Yatra Mahavir Dal again reached Karan Sweets via Sanatan Dharma Mandir and concluded at Ramlila Ground via the old bus stand.
As the Tiranga Yatra passed through the city, the streets of the city echoed with the cheers of Bharat Mata. Ki Jai The whole atmosphere was painted in the colour of patriotism. Everyone warmly welcomed the visit.
State General Secretary, Sh. Vedpal Advocate, Mayor, Smt. Renu bala Gupta, MP, Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Indri MLA, Sh. Ram Kumar Kashyap and other dignitaries remained present on the occasion.
